House Republicans plan to investigate campus protests and antisemitism

- House Republicans said earlier this week they want to hold multi-pronged, multi-committee investigations into some of the ongoing campus protests, citing a rise in antisemitism.
This comes in the wake of President Biden addressing the unrest, reiterating support of free speech and peaceful protests while also condemned violence.
Rep. Steve Scalise stated, “We're asking all of our committee chairs to look into the billions of federal taxpayer dollars that go to these universities.” Scalise stressed the importance of a safe learning environment for college students saying, “If these presidents won't provide that safe environment, then those university presidents need to go. They need to resign.”

I am a very Blue Democrat, but this stuff on our campuses has gotten WAY out of hand. Disrupting classes, taking over and vandalizing buildings, and threatening Jewish students has to be stopped. So, for right now, "the enemy of my enemy------".
They should be invested, I don't care if your democrat or republican this is how we lose are rights to the constitution and so far the president has done absolutely a horrible job

None of this investigation will talk about the actual reason for the protests, that they are tired of massive deaths to innocents, and want action from the university to help coerce the government of Israel to stop. As Johnson did, they’re merely going to frame this as violent protesters, and the trope of “brainwashed” students and “outside agitators”, and as always provide no proof of that.
They will do NOTHING! Don't they get tired of talking ,never do nothing.

55% of the students at Ivy League schools are there on foreign student visas.
And they're paying full tuition for the most part. When you have a student visa, you have to prove that you can pay for your stay in the country, while paying for the tuition. China had state sponsored visa programs for students -- they would pay for part or most of your tuition -- but not many foreigners are on full rides. If you're saying the Ivy's, they're more than likely rich and privileged.

If I remember correctly, during the Black Lives Matter protests the daylight protests, called sometimes by clergy, were orderly, and you could see different aged people and women, while the demonstrations that happened at night, where it was hard to take photos, got rowdy, and violent. The same pattern seems to be visible here. during marches and protests against the. Israeli retaliation against the HAMAS attack which has taken so many civilian lives and destroyed hundreds of homes and whole neighborhoods. In the USA many protesters are women and walk on marches during daylight while after dark protestors and counterprotesters have fistfights, defy the police, and cause injuries and costly material damage to the colleges and universities themselves.

What do I think? First, we pay hefty tuitions to those colleges and universities. I think that if we can’t send our children to a learning institution and depend on administrators to keep our children safe, and if we can’t depend on administrators to keep order on campus, then those places don’t deserve our business.
