You do understand the implication of what a police/military use of physical force and violence would do to current student protest conflicts, right?
Regardless of whether or not one may be offended by some of the things that are said (on both sides, of course), that's still just use-of-language. ...Sticks-&-stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. Alright, some words can be a bit hurtful. But there are no emergency room casualties, as a result.
That doesn't count as violence. These are non-violent demonstrations.
If soldiers are bussed in to man-handle these people, then it's the powers-that-be that are committing violence.
And I'm going to posit that, at least in some instances, ...deliberately. Just exactly because of the sort of violent political aftermath it would likely cause. Keep in mind, that's what at least some of these people on that side of the aisle *do*. That's the only way rule-of-the-(loud)-minority is conducted. Since they don't really have any genuine policy platform or planning. They invariably fall back to fear-mongering. Because when a person is red-faced with rage, he or she is no longer able to *think* very clearly.
So why not blame those anti-semitic immigrants who are coming to steal your jobs, and probably your children.
*That's called a reductio-ad-absurdum, btw. Something that's completely over-the-top-absurd, just to demonstrate how non-sensical a thing is.
Oh, and I'm Jewish, btw. (So don't give me any grief about anti-semitism, boychik. I've lived in this world for 67 years. Been there, done that.)
Look up (wikipedia?, perhaps) the 1968 Chicago Democratic National Convention riots, at the hands of then-Mayor Daley and the Chicago Police Dept., at the time. I've know a fair number of cops in my day. Decent, caring professionals who try very hard to maintain an even strain, often under highly stressful circumstances. Those guys in Chicago at the time, ...weren't those. Look up some of the video.
Everyone concerned, of any and every denomination and political persuasion, ...don't do *that*. Make sure that *that* does *not* happen. Because I am getting the distinct impression that there are at least some who are considering trying just that exactly.
