  • These rustic Rose Clay and Charcoal soaps are made with oil-absorbing ingredients that leave your skin feeling fresh. They have activated charcoal sprinkled in between the layers to create rustic stripes as well as bind with dirt and oils in the skin to bring them to the surface.
    🌹 The rose clay in this recipe is dispersed in distilled water rather than oil to help compensate for the absorption properties. The clay, along with Rosehip Jasmine Fragrance Oil, will cause the trace to become thick rather quickly. For this design that’s totally okay, the bars are meant to have a natural and rustic look to them, so you don’t need to worry about the layers being straight or the top being smooth.
    🌹 Rosehip Jasmine Fragrance Oil: bberry.studio/RosehipJasmineF...
    After a few washes, the red rose petals will fall off. But, we think they are totally worth it - they really are the cherry on top! When it’s time to cut the bars, the rose petals can get caught under the knife and create drag marks. In one of our batches, we threw caution to the wind and used our Multi-Bar Cutter! That created drag marks on about half the bars. But, we think they actually contribute to the natural look and feel. Depending on your preference, cut the bars on the side to avoid the drag marks or embrace them by cutting straight down.

    🌹 If you'd like to make this soap 100% natural, skip the mica powder and use 0.4 ounces of Rose Absolute Essential Oil instead of the fragrance oil: bberry.studio/RoseAbsoluteEss...

    10″ Silicone Loaf Mold

    I am SO new to soap making and have started with melt and pour 3 weeks ago (I’m pretty sure I bought everything on BB at this point lol). I was wondering, is it possible to get this type of texture at the top when doing melt and pour? Or MP not thick enough to get this texture?

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  Год назад

      We haven't found a great way to prevent this other than to avoid placing the petals very deep into the top of the soap. You would have to find a way to completely prevent them from getting exposed to moisture which isn't very likely to happen in a product that is 60-70% water.

    Hi, a little different question. I made a salt scrub using pink Himalayan salt, grapeseed oil, rose clay very little like 1% and neroli essential oil. I made it 1 to 1.5 months back and kept in room, not refridgerator. Delhi is really hot now. Today when I opened to use it, its smelling bad also texture has become so so sticky, it's like glue. I don't know what i did wrong. Or is it i received low quality or near expired grapeseed oil? Since you have so knowledgeable, what do you think might be the reason?

    Hello! I make melt and pour soap, but I am a begginer. May I use the same ratio in melt and pour 1 teaspoon of clay and 1 tablespoon of water? Is water good in soap base? Thank you!

    • @bramble-berry

      We would recommend using our Rose Clay Color Block if you're wanting to use clay in melt & pour soap: www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-product/ingredients/colorants/color-blocks/rose-clay-color-block/V900115.html
      If you are going to use clay instead of a clay color block, we recommend using it in a 1:3 ratio, but with 99% isopropyl alcohol instead of water.
      You can read more about using clay in body products on our website here: www.brambleberry.com/how-to/bath-and-body/art0015-clay-in-bath-and-beauty-projects.html

    Don’t u think that such a thick layer of charcoal means the soap will split during use?

    • @mariacabrera5339
      @mariacabrera5339 2 года назад

      The first time I made this, I did add way too much charcoal at the layers and many sections did split off. Since then, I've done more of a "pencil line" which works great.
