Mine have been hit by cars also.. it is a bummer.. makes me sad every time I think about it. I have a similar situation here in northern California.. except my male guinea fowl actually do protect the nests.. had one get real brave and kinda came at me a little at the last nest I found... I haven't found any fertilized eggs yet.. idk what the heck is going on.. also I have geese.. they would go well in that field! You should consider them.. I love mine.. and they eat mostly grass... less feed.. and they produce huge delicious eggs.. anyway.. I'm always out hunting guinea eggs this video was super relatable for me 👍
It looks like you’re in a wooded area like me. How do you manage the predators? I want to free range my guineas but have them in a chicken run so far bc I know there are raccoons and hawks. Do they guineas protect themselves pretty well? It’s beautiful that they get to run around like that!
I'm surrounded by woods. I train my guinea to put themselves in the coop at night and that helps with night time predators. Every now and then we'll have a hawk attack but not too often. They have a lot of cover. I free range about 200 birds and don't have too many issues. The main predators are my neighbors dogs.

I might get some geese one day. We have some Canadian geese that come every year and have goslings on our pond. Just saw 4 babies today.
First to be here.
From Nigeria..
Awesome
They terrorise the chickens that's the drawback
Mine don't.
Nope not a job for me….snake territory 🪵
Yeah plenty of those around here.

Lol how do they move them
They don't actually move them. They just move the spot they lay at.
