The little quality of life changes make me do the upgrade, as someone who is always on the go, I love the fact that balancing has smoother arm sliders, and vertical built in quick change is a huge deal for someone who does quantity work with low margins, this will add a lot of ease and stress free shootings, I absolutely love it!. Also great video, nailed it right to the point, spec to spec comparison really is not what you look for this upgrade but the overall experience!

Hey Sam which gimbal would you use for Tamron 35-150 and ZV-E1? Regular RS4 or do you think RS4 Pro would have more stable footage?
is there a huge upgrade from super smooth to Car Mount? Did you test it on the Tilta with and without the Car mount mode?
Carmount mode is more for upside down balancing. im sure it does have a better algorithm knowing that it's meant to be used upside down. the handheld mode doesn't let you calibrate the motors in upside down position, that's why #camwasright came up haha
Will RS3 Focus motor work on rs4? As i planned to upgrade gimbal only, and stay with old focus motor

@@Slothen @sid3walk I don't think the old motor will work on the RS4, but the Raveneye works, you have live preview on the Lidar Screen area, and gives you the tracking as well

Anyone try and balance an r5c with canons new 24-105? Just picked up that lens and my rs2 pro about blew up trying to balance it. Not enough arm length to handle it without hitting the back motor. Placed an order the other day for the rs3 pro seen the rs4 pro was announced a canceled first order hoping this tackles it easily.

Yes you can, because since RS3 PRO the arm length is longer compared to RS2. RS4 Pro has the same arm length + longer tilt axis
I've ran my R5c + EF 70-200 on my rs3 pro, and it handled well. I also mount a power bank on top of the camera which I think helps with balance

mh..not really worth it. Pretty disappointing. If you don't have a gimbal you're better off just getting a RS3 Pro ince it's the same thing. Prices dropped as well.
its not a major upgrade, but to me it did fix a lot of the issues I had with RS3 PRO

But there was a L bracket for the RS3, or you just mount a plate on the side of the camera. Both valid options to safe a few 100 imo

Does the RS4 pro also come with LIDAR autofocus technology? Or do you have to buy that separately?
You need to purchase the lidar only seperate. The pro kit comes with the fiz motor inside and when you get the lidar, theyll work all together. Now if you have the dji transmitter for it, then you need a special cable dongle to power all together
They are already working on RS5 anyway...

I dont have a gimble now. So what would u recommend for my mirrorless 2kg setup ? Rs3 or rs4 ... I was waiting for todays launch and saw nothing special that makes rs4 significantly superior... Please rectify me if im mistaken. Im getting rs3 for a discounted price in the market so the difference is around 100 dollars
Def get the RS3 Pro, prices dropped and it's the same thing as the RS4 Pro. The upgrade from 2 to 3 was huge, this is a joke
depends on your budget. I'd even say get the regular RS4 if you like some of the new features like the vertical mount, otherwise not much has been changed from previous
I cannot get it to balance vertically with a cage on. Super annoying that a “quick release” system is not so quick
