My View My Opinion, is a commentary podcast. Everything I share is my personal opinion and is NOT to be taken as a fact. I observe public events, etc. and comment on them.

    FAQ:
Who are you and what is your name?
My name is My View My Opinion (MVMO) & I am a Podcaster, on RUclips. Due to safety concerns on the internet, I do not share my personal information anymore and I ask that others respect this. Also, I'm against the cult of personality & the promotion of self. I have no desire to "make a name" for myself. That's odd in this day & time I know, because most strive for this. Too many folks make themselves the center of attention instead of helping others first & allowing the information they share to be the focus of folks attention. Many crave applause, acceptance, & "fans & followers". I believe in letting the information take center stage.
Why don't you show your face?
My RUclips channel is host to my podcast. However, I do make on camera appearances from time to time & have many times in the past- as this is how my channel started, with me on camera talking about whatever. And for those who always ask, yes, I am a black woman, LOL!!!!
What is this, where are the pictures or videos?
The MVMO Podcast is a talk radio program. Generally speaking , there aren't any pictures or vids. It is made for busy professionals like the host. To have the best listening experience, place your device down and multi-task or minimize the podcast on your cell and continue doing whatever you need to do as you have the host's voice going in the background. Your hands and eyes are free!
Where else can I find your podcast?
My podcast is only available on RUclips. I use Spreaker, a free podcast recording app to record, but I do not have an active podcast on their site. If you hear my podcast anywhere other than youtube, feel free to let me know as it is not me but someone stealing my content.

I’m the one who requested this! Can’t wait to listen right now. (I’m 29, turning 30 this month and more than open to correction in this area from a more seasoned woman of God.) *buckles up to watch* hahaha

I just want to share my niece's experience. She is a church going woman and has been dating for some time. She met her now husband on Hinge, and they dated for a year and a half then he proposed. So you can find your husband on a dating app. But, you have to date with intention. Before she met her husband, she was dealing with a man who was never going to marry her. I talked to her several times about it, and because she stopped dealing with that man, she found her husband.

I absolutely love your feedback on this! We have to definitely unlearn the teachings of most church. This freed me in a way. My mom is like this and has tried her best to pass down her wrong teachings to me and my sister. She thinks every man I meet is an assignment from God to get him saved she definitely doesn't want us married. I asked her why don't try to promote and encourage us for marriage and she said... how can I want something for you that I never had... which is what most parents want for their children. From that day forward, I have resolved to unlearn everything she has taught me.

Trust be told black women in church have to stop comparing potential partners to the pastor. Stop secretly wanting the pastor thinking he’s perfect or wanting a carbon copy!!! AND black single church women are easier to control than married one. That’s what some pastors want, black single women who see him and the church as their partner so the women can be used up😫😫😫

Good commentary. I heard this same story many times from close friends. I say I want to get remarried and I get looks. I have never heard someone say those things like you said and you’re right, we have to keep our appearance up.

Im 29, very single and hope to be married within the next 5 years. God already told me to get ready, I just need to do the work. Im glad you mentioned online dating too. I did it for awhile and told myself to stop bc its what "losers" do.
Thats not true, and is a limiting belief. I was the problem, not dating apps. The mess I encountered there would have been the exact same if I met them organically. Took me awhile to realize that.
You do have to search and put yourself out there for something as serious as marriage. It's really like a job. It sucks but is true. And keeping ourselves attractive as christian women is so underlooked. A common complaint I hear from Christian men or men talking about Christian women is that most are overweight and frumpy with an out dated fashion sense.
I gained a ton of weight due to PCOS and am trying to get it off. However, I still dress and maintain myself well and still get looks and compliments from men. I went out recently looking a mess and there were no less than 3 attractive men where I was. Never again!!

Thank you MVMO!! Please shout it from the mountain tops. We need to get into our Bibles and follow Christ and not people. Some of these ministers have twisted the word of God for their own purposes. They’re making something very natural overly mystical.

What I respect is the commentators acknowledgment that there are women who want to be married and have children. BUT there are also those of us who do NOT.
There is nothing wrong with not wanting either of those situations.
There are many women who opt out of marriage and children for a number of reasons. For me, I feel relationships / marriage requires more than I’ve been willing to give, so I’ve not desired marriage.
I’m an aunt of 2 who live with me along with my sister and my mother. So I get to participate in raising 2 of God’s beautiful children on a daily basis and have done so since the time they were born.
So for me, having a child would be like starting over and I’m good with the influence and contribution I have made to their lives, my sister’s life, and society as a whole by raising productive young Black men.
God has blessed me to have children, even though I physically didn’t bring them into this world. I’m so happy with the children. They are respectful, they have good morals, and they carry themselves with confidence & pride & I’ve helped shape that.
My God…I’m so completely happy with how life has worked for me. Many Blessings ❤

I’m in awe and amazed! I’m going to listen to this 3 times because the advice you are giving is the total opposite of what I’ve heard. I believed the weirdo Christian advice and now I’m 38 about to be 39. I’ve seen the women who did what you advised to do get married, but the noise all the noise from other Christians just confused me! I am wide awake and I know it’s not too late for me! I’m gonna come back here to share that I got married whenever that happens. My life is going to change, thank you for this advice!

This was a great episode. I find myself as a 43 year old woman saying some of those things. “Maybe God has called me to a life of Singleness.” I guess I try to rationalize my singleness.

I am single and in my 50''s - never been married - however I do have an adult daughter- so I can some what relate to the topic . And I totally agree about limiting beliefs and how they can hold us back ... but my comment / thought is I am really paranoid about dating apps and Secondly I feel like I am " shopping for a " mate " with the idea of a dating app or even purposely placing my self where men are ... now I know a man isn't just gonna fall from the sky - but I am just commenting about how I feel - I don't necessarily think it's wrong - it just feels weird

    • @mvmochannel
      @mvmochannel  29 дней назад +12

Your comment shows your thinking has and is STILL holding you back and now you're in your 50s - STILL thinking in a very silly way. I've just got to call it what it actually is, not trying to be rude, but in my opinion, there isn't another word for it. Unfortunately, if you don't go get therapy to fix your way of thinking, you just might die alone & lonely. When a woman is in her 50s it's time for someone who cares to speak very truthfully and unvarnished. Grow up, stop thinking the way you did in your 30s & 40s, it's gotten you where you are right now. Unless you like where you are right now, you need to get real with yourself - you're not a girl anymore & time is passing by . Change or stay the same - those are you're only 2 options. I say all this plainly & in love. If you were 20 something, I'd come at this differently but you're not.

I guess you find out through trial and error what nutrition is best for oneself. I did try veganism but quickly realized it wasn't for me. I have been carnivore since the beginning of the year and love the changes. Lost weight and lowered cholesterol. I also noticed that I can be out in the sun and not feel like my skin is burning. I attribute that to carnivore.
