This is good stuff. I really like the heavy, light, medium method and have been using it with good success. It allows me to train every 2 to 3 days (full body), which really helps me dial and lock into my technique. Thanks a lot.
Dave Tate looks like he gives the coziest hugs
meinhaus hahahaha!!!
This made me actually laugh out loud
You can just tell by Dave tates facial expressions and his tone that he is a straight savage.. dude gets right down to business
This is the probably the most helpful video a novice could watch. Simple straight up answers and examples to a question that can get totally cluster fucked with data and therories.
this is one of the most effortless imformative vids ive watched. good shit!!! im a subscriber
Dave this is gold. It confirms I'm doing something things right. Thanks & keep it up!
Interviewer asks excellent questions. Really getting to the details to help me understand how Dan's training differs, or could apply, to my training. Very much appreciated.
Dave is using "light day" to mean easy day, Dan is using it to me "lower intensity" e.g. lesser % of the one rep max but still approaching failure each set.
no its not, 5:30
This video is one of the most enlightening videos on building strength and size over the long haul. THANK YOU!
So informative. 2 GOATS.
Im the one who asked this question yall your welcome
PRAISE THE LORD FOR YOUR LIFE LOL
Dave is the best interviewer, active listening 101.
3:30 into the vid and subscribed.
Always good content! Thanks
Everytime I watch one of these Tate interviews my 11 month old starts dancing to the intro music
Great interview and advice! No skimping out on reps from me now
Two gods of the business. Love this
Thanks guys :)
THESE GUYS ARE GOLDEN
Is it okay to watch the entire video at once instead of 15 short 10 min videos ?
i train everyday sometimes multiple times a day but im not a drugged up pro but i eat a lot and give it all i got. if something hurts i take off as much time as i need to feel better again. im not going to be the worlds strongest man but since ive been training everyday i lve gotten bigger and stronger naturally than any other method ive ever tried and ive tried just about all of them in my 40 years so far.
I bet you're drugged up on weed though 😂😂😂
Bench dead, squat maxes?
Extremely helpful
Is there one video that contains all of these short clips?
Thanks
Dave Tate looks like Jumba Jookiba from lilo and stitch. Look it up
Absolutely quality
I would add 1 to 2 extra set to get the volume?
So basically heavy light medium bill starr approach.
Basically, but Starr didn't do much with different rep ranges. You still go fairly heavy on everything (ie. Fahves), but the variations limit the amount of weight you can move so it is less systemically taxing.
So your heavy day would be low bar back squats, bench press, and deadlift, all working up to heavy sets of five.
Light day might be front squats, overhead press, and rows, again for sets of five.
Medium day might be high bar squats or low bar with 10% less weight, incline press, and stiff-legged deadlifts.
I like to spread out the heavy movements throughout the week, but Starr's basic plan has worked well for a heck of a lot of people.
Table isn't narrow enough
Figure out what works for u and do it.
old texas metod
Dan can't even sit up straight in his chair? Too cool for school I guess. But, 'roid heads usually have a serious character defect
Craig Crawford haha character defects? whats your excuse?
