Ik this is late but I'm currently learning this song as a beginner, I've been watching videos trying to teach myself and I'm so glad I came across this, I'm having so much fun learning this, while I practice I tend to start jamming and forget that I'm practicing and if I mess up, I wont even notice or I'd stop and try again. I stopped playing but then I realized that I have a guitar to play, not to leave it. I want to be able to play and jam on my own, so now I'm more motivated then before. And I am now motivated to learn and play.
Edit: I learned it in a day. And I am proud
Good for you! I play drums and all of a sudden I had the urge to learn a song on guitar and I knew this was the perfect song for beginners.

I think personally your should do a song all the way to a guitar solo and then tech us how to play the guitar solo then how to play after the guitar solo like the full song and go beyond the old guitar and pickup a electric guitar and show us some of your inner jimmy page perhaps but great work you keep doing this your channel will grow

an easier way to catch that part where he mutes the strings is to just mute the ones your fingers are already on, for electric beginners this is great.

why does it sound so bad when i use a pick? it sounds totally fine when i use my thumb, but with a pick it sounds bloody awful

Concentrate on the chord changes and playing in time, the chugga stuff will come naturally. Keep going ok🔥🔥🔥🎸

I’m struggling with going up and down with my pick because I feel like it gets caught when I go up any tips?
Hold the pick gently while you strumm. It might fall off your fingers but you will get the hang of it with practice.When you hold it firmly with your fingers the pick becomes less flexible which leads to it getting caught up in the strings
