    There is nothing on Earth like Burning Man, or at least how Burning Man used to be. I've gone five times and I love it so much but my last time was 2007. It's so much bigger now.

    Guard its integrity, Larry. I hate to sound cynical, but humans have a knack for destroying good and interesting things. Sturgis, Mardi Gras, Native Americans, yada yada yada, come to mind.
    You've created a good thing. Please preserve it, if possible.

      I agree with you. Ive always hated the radical inclusion part of it, but thats what the spirit is. It could destroy us, but its up to us to be stronger and for us to it.

    I am amazed about this phenomena of Burningman! Giving and receiving food and other material things without money to be involved its getting our spiritual level to be upgrade to the higher level. Giving and receiving love, compassion, creativity, friendship, fun without any agenda behind it. it's ...... well I can say it's a God's gift!
    Burning things that may represent your negative memories or trapped negative emotions, believes it is a great technique that available to set your self free from negativity and destruction. And all of this in the form of play! Super! I love it!
    I hope that this festival can build a "critical mass" in the global consciousness to turn humanity destructive patterns to become spiritual nation. Happy nation! Loving nation!
    I just wish the location for Burningman festival could be in some more enjoyable place. Where nature will give its beauty inspiration to ignite even greater our hearts! May be it could be in some tropical location like Puerto Rico. At some secluded beach that we have plenty here. And all the burning structure could be placed floating on the sea in the shallow areas. All the people can camp on the beach. This way the burning process will be safe. But the joy of connecting to the water element and the beauty of nature WILL make this experience ..... almost supernatural!

      +Dzulietta Vilenski and dont forget all the free booze and drugs. it really helps with all the new age spirituality, and even though my trust funds a bit slimmer, its still the best 10,000 dollars I ever spent

      if its all about booze and drugs then you miss the point secondary yes I would indulge but the exp alone speaks for itself I like to coin or paraphrase McKenna new age is better called Archaic Revival

      Dzulietta Vilenski, oh the Black Rock Desert is a beautiful place, at least to me it is. It inspires me in so many ways on so many levels. I couldn't imagine it at a better place! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I also understand it is an extreme environment, not for everyone. They have regional burns at other places. Maybe you can find a place that better suits you at one of those places.

    I haven't seen Larry in more than a few years, he's looks a lot healthier now! Good news.

    Larry is definitely crazy. You can see it in his eyes. And notice how at the very beginning when Charlie is talking right before showing the clip Larry appears to shift his focus to something else, like he's hearing something other than Charlie's voice. I think he's hearing a voice or voices in his head.

    • @Kampy_
      @Kampy_  9 лет назад +12

      Umm.. he's shifting his focus to the video monitor as the clip begins playing. But if you want to use that as evidence for your personal theory that he's crazy, go for it. Larry has seemed quite sane during all the conversations I've had with him, and his brain still seems to be working fine in this interview as well.

      Scott Kampmeyer
      I'm talking about 0:09 to 0:25. He's clearly not looking at the screen and he doesn't appear to be listening to Charlie. He clearly shifts his focus like he's listening to something else. My proposal is that he's hearing voices but I could be wrong. I shouldn't have said "crazy" because it's a loaded word. Often people with mental illness will seem fine most of the time, and a lot of the time it requires a keen eye to notice their mental illness. I'm not dismissing him or what he does, I'm just commenting on what I see in this video.

      So, you prefer sane and safe and saccharin then? You prefer to listen to the voices of others rather than your own? Try being a bit crazy every once in a while and try listening to the voice screaming in your own head instead of listening to what others tell you. [I think.]

    • @ThatOneScienceGuy
      @ThatOneScienceGuy 7 лет назад +2

      Jason McHenry I do prefer sane and safe. You make that sound like a bad thing. lol.

      Larry never said he doesn't 'believe in capitalism.' He simply helped create a place where advertisers and vending booths aren't necessary, and people seemed to REALLY enjoy that.
