- Another story to stay away from sh@t sold for less than the material in it costs.
Usually Chi made replacement parts are just weaker quality than the NOS ones, but at least they fit.
This ain't a fit.
Part sold as, quoting ebay sellers description:
"AFT 44.4mm Diaphragm for Yamaha JA4201, JA4205, JA4207, JA4208,8Ω Repair Part"
DO NOT GET THIS FOR JA4201. It does NOT FIT. VC is correct, but positioning holes and connector layout does not fit.
Awesome hands on vid. Thanks
Thank you Trevor! ; Janos
Thank you
Hey I have this horn/ driver in both my original Yamaha S4115h speakers. Both my horns sound great, but one of the speakers, where you can control the hf horn in the back with the knob, has no effect. They both play at the same level, the one with the working knob is set to 8, which is the normal setting. I was wondering if the something needed to be cleaned? I opened the speaker up and the everything looks great to me. Does the ja4201 have a positive and negative connection? I was trying to figure out if someone prior had switched by mistake.
What are you doing mate? At every turn you warn us against manufactures cheaping out on parts!! .... which reminds me to try that cheap EV replacement diaphragm 🙂
Yupp, was going against my own advice and look where it got me. Proof of the pudding! ; ). Very poignant demonstration that my advice actually works... haha! 🐱💻🥗🌮🥙🧶
He is telling the truth manufacturers do cheap out , no one is asking u to watch this youtube channel , plus cheap doesnt always means less hifi , only people who have never built anything say these kind of things , its a great video about inside working and replacing a diaphragm ,hopefully one day i can get my hands on beryllium diaphragm and install it inside one of my CDs

Since 29 made the comment, I thought which relative cheap parts can sound good: cables, power transformers, chokes, tubes, resistors, cartridges (rare, but possible), passive pre-amp, phono stage, quite a few 2nd hand things... relative cheap things that never sounded good: turntable, headshell, output transformers, capacitors, dacs, headphones + headphone amps, monitor speakers, ...
@@EduardBroekman bro I bet you have just heard these things from others , if u had done experiments like me , you wouldn't say such ignorant things , even the cheAP stuff can work , you have to know how to make it work , I bet you won't be able to tell the difference , audio is a dirty business and this is exactly how people are sold a false dream
