Amazing series so far. Did the cross country and east coast paths the previous Spring. The east coast felt more remembrable, so my favorite so far. Planning to do the Western bike paths and Jeju next time I travel to Korea. Got to get the Grand Slam medal :)
Thanks so much @p0skar1! The East Coast is really an amazing path, and you'll enjoy Jeju/Western bike paths once you get a chance as well. All the best with your Grand Slam and happy cycling!
I can't explain how thankful I am for the supporting documents and sample itineraries you put together...this is next level! This made planning my ride 100x easier (especially the premade kakao map routes for each day!!!), thank you so much!
@@SeanKelly35 thanks so much for the kind words and for your support to our channel! So happy to hear that the routes and documents helped out! I know they've been working on the East Coast bike path too, so there should be some more sections away from the roads now. Hope you have an amazing trip along the East Coast, and stay safe out there eh!
Great video! Did East coast bike path last year and there are unlimited rows of cherry blossom trees. If I have a chance, I will ride the East coast again. Ride safe!
Thanks so much Thoan! Wow it must have been super nice with all of the blossoms everywhere. I definitely want to try cycling it again at some point too. Happy cycling and ride safe!
Thanks so much @user-kc7ob7ml2e glad that they have helped! You will have a great time cycling Jeju and the Southern bike paths too, as you'll see just about every type of environment.
Thanks so much for the kind words @Mudskipper9876! The East Coast can get pretty intense, but there are small sections of it that would be really fun even just for the day like around Sokcho or Gangneung where you can rent a bike too!
Great guide! I was hesitating wheather to continue to Busan after the last stamp or not, but with your advice I'll try taking the coastal road. Questions? 1. Is North to South generally better (hills, wind, etc.)? 2. What's the best season to do it? I was thinking Sept because it's off-peak but water is still warm to swim in those amazing beaches. 3. Is there anything similar in the South and West coasts? Would be great to have more videos about those less known areas! Thanks!
Thanks a lot @MrChaotio! Definitely go along the coast after the last stamp, and don't go along the highways like us. It would be a lot more enjoyable, even if you have to add a few extra km into the ride! 1) North to South is a bit better for hills and wind. 2) June or September would both be great in my opinion, but there is better chance for good air quality in September. 3) The South and West coasts don't have any official bike paths, but I've been wanting to cycle them for a very long time. Hoping to cycle them sometime soon and we'll definitely film it!
Hey there @blackbelt2000 the best way to do it is to open up Naver Maps (not Kakao Maps) and copy/paste the word 자전거 That means bike in Korean, and then you can find bike shops to repair at.
Hi there, it's called Goseong on the T Money Website. Wow it seems like they make things really confusing with the English version! Hope you are able to find it in time!
Hi there @cyberiansg, it appears they messed up the romanization on the T Bus website, so it's called "Youngdeok" on there. That's very confusing (it happens all the time here though).
Love your videos dude! Do you know what the path quality is like from Pohang to Busan by any chance? Not heard much of the lower east coast by bike. I'm currently near Gyeongju and looking for a scenic route down to Busan. Any pro tips would be very much welcomed! Thanks!
Thanks so much @tommarrett7861! The path quality is great from Pohang all the way to Ulsan just by riding along the coast, and then it gets a bit iffy between Ulsan and Busan for the last 70 km or so. Here is a Kakao Map link for directions on that last section which I think will be okay, but I haven't personally done it, so there might be a few sections where you have to switch it up a bit: kko.to/bRM91tdhvz
@@lostthenfound Thanks for the response, much appreciated. We ended up meandering down the coastal route, nice and easy, off-season so less traffic and HOT weather! Although the headwind can be a bit exhausting!
Oh that's great to hear @tommarrett7861! The weather has definitely heated up a lot recently, and you're right about the winds too! Did you guys end up having a good trip overall? I'm craving another East Coast trip by bike sometime soon!
It's very fun @erickdarseno5689! It's 234 km so it takes about 3-7 days for most people, and 2 days if you are really fast. We made a video about it if you are curious: ruclips.net/video/u741fswCkPY/видео.html
I can tell this video took a lot of effort to make... thank you guys... 💖

Such a great video guys! Good going for sharing all your experiences to make cycling easier for others!
Thanks a lot Mom! 😊
LTF, how to reach you
Thanks for another great guide! I'll enjoy this route vicariously, though. Those hills are out of my league.
Thanks so much Mike! Haha this is a really tough route indeed, but the East Coast is a beautiful place for sure!
i really appreciate this series! great work guys

thank you. A great guide for the bike paths. I did a bike ride 16 years ago from Seoul to Daegue with a guide from a retired engineer living in Busan.
Oh wow 16 years ago eh? Was the bike path installed back then from Seoul to Daegu? Must have been a fun trip, thanks for sharing!
Love the tone of the video and your voice. Thanks for the informations!
Thanks so much for the kind words @ExclusiveTravelReviews!
Your videos have been great help in my doing the Cross country and East Coast. Will be trying Jeju n the the lower part of the peninsula. Thanks!

Nice😊 If possible, is there anyway to point out shops you can get bike repair along these paths?
Hey there @blackbelt2000 the best way to do it is to open up Naver Maps (not Kakao Maps) and copy/paste the word
자전거
That means bike in Korean, and then you can find bike shops to repair at.
짐을 다 싫으면 자전거 무게가 얼마나 나가나요? How much is the bike weight with your luggage all together?
@skitakaujou 그때는 카메라 장비가 너무 많았기 때문에 35kg 정도 실었는데 이제는 20kg 정도 실어요.
Hi, need your help again. I couldn't find Daejin Intercity Bus Terminal (대진시외버스터미널) in the T bus reservation. Is it Dangjin in the T Bus web?
Hi there, it's called Goseong on the T Money Website. Wow it seems like they make things really confusing with the English version! Hope you are able to find it in time!
Are they still developing the east coast trail (adding separate bicycle lanes)? I think that was the plan originally.
@inspiredinthedark23 I haven't heard about a development to be honest, but that would be a very welcome addition to it!
Hi, I have checked the T Bus website, but I can't find Yeongdeok Bus Terminal. Is there another name for it?
Hi there @cyberiansg, it appears they messed up the romanization on the T Bus website, so it's called "Youngdeok" on there. That's very confusing (it happens all the time here though).
