    Hello everyone! This week we decided to do something we’ve wanted to try for a very long time, walking around Hanyangdoseong (한양도성) or the Seoul City Wall, a 18.6 km fortress wall that goes around the old city of Seoul which used to be called Hanyang which was completed in 1396, in which a lot of it is still around today. During the trek, we got to see a lot of Seoul’s surrounding nature, learn a lot about its deep history, and get a new perspective of the city that we live in. Enjoy!

      If you get lost, just go back to the wall. And even if you loose it, the city is always near and the next train station not far away. No need to worry and I hope you try it next time 😊

    Great video! I hiked this trail earlier this year and seeing all 4 main gates in one day was one of the most memorable experiences out of all of my visits to Seoul. It was definitely the most physically demanding! I did it in February so I didn't have the heat to contend with and I *think* the air quality was good too, but the downside was that the water fountains were all turned off for the winter! I did lose the trail in a few spots along the northern part of the trail but it was always fun exploring even while getting lost. I was amazed at how many elderly people were out exercising up in the mountains!

      @lostthenfound  7 месяцев назад +1

      @moneymoy that's great you got to do it all and in one day it seems like a good challenge for sure! Will have to come back someday when the weather is a bit cooler. Stay safe and take care!

    absolutely fascinating! I can definitely see how the hot weather would slow a hiker down... Great idea to hike the wall!

    • @ICDeadPeeps
      @ICDeadPeeps 7 месяцев назад +1

      It's the humidity more than the heat itself that makes it so much more challenging. Your body is desperately trying to cool down by sweating, but the sweat won't evaporate due to the high humidity. So not only are you overheating, but you're losing a lot of nutrients and minerals from the excessive sweating, making everything worse.

    • @lostthenfound
      @lostthenfound  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks so much Alex! The hot weather definitely makes it harder, but it's worth it to do it at a slower pace still I think!
