Really lucky to have all of the good transportation to do it all too! Really happy you got to explore here, and hopefully we can show some more interesting places! Take care eh!

We didn't film in Seoul though, so we will continue our adventures elsewhere in the next video!
@j.f.l.7649 thanks so much for watching and for the kind words! It's a bit complex, but there are different proteins in different types of fish. It's a bit of a gamble, but it's not a deadly allergy. Just my throat/tongue/lips get itchy and swell.
It was so cool to see you visiting places I'd been myself, though back in 2014/2015. The Yi Sun-shin plaza looks wayyy more modern than I remember it. I used to work at the Yeosu Boys High School, super close to the Yeosu Expo you were walking past. And Spa Land was one of the places I visited when I had my very first taste of Korea way back in 2011, but it doesn't look very different from what I remember. My friend and I liked to move between the coldest and hottest sauna rooms as a challenge to ourselves, haha. If you ever go back to Yeosu you should try checking out Yeoso-dong. I lived in that area back in the day and even back then there was a big pedestrian street with loads of restaurants and bars on it. Loads of fun!
@danielbeckerton7418 so happy to hear we could show you what the places look like today! Yi Sun-sin plaza is a full on tourist area now which was pretty crazy to see! Also you're right that Spa Land is pretty much the same these days, but a lot more people and it's getting expensive too! I marked down Yeoso-dong in our list of places to check out too. Thanks for letting us know, and sounds like a good time!
@@lostthenfound I just finished watching the video and marked down Haedong Yonggungsa on my google maps for the next time I'm in Busan :) If you like stoney temples by the ocean then I have to recommend one more stop in Yeosu, and that's 대한불교조계종 향일암. It's a bit of a ways from the city center but it's apparently an amazing place to see the sunrise. I've only been during the daytime but I've loved it both times I've gone.
To escape the SCORCHING heat this summer we swam at Songjeong beach. It was nice. I went to that beach back in the mid 90s. Little different back then 😉 That is my favourite temple as well. Back in the 90s we were the only ones there. In 2024 everyone was there.
@ALEX-cs6vo haha I bet it was nice in that super hot weather! Also I bet it was such a nice quiet beach in the 90s! It's gotten a lot more popular in recent years for sure.
My best meal in Korea was in Yeosu. This video brought back great memories. While in Seoul, we went to Busan for a day trip only to visit Spa Land. We should go back and explore all the places you visited in Busan now that we know where we should go. Thank you for posting. We look forward to seeing how you guys are doing. Take care~
@lovesbeautiful1004 thanks so much, and glad that it brought back memories! Busan has a lot of great places to explore, and definitely recommend going back there someday to explore more! Take care eh!
해동용궁사 is probably one of the most spoiled and commodified temples in Korea since it has long been promoted by the local tourism board. If you’re seeking out a much richer temple experience I highly recommend the nearby 통도사.
@@ethomp05 I agree with you here. 해동용궁사 is certainly beautiful to look at, but I went to 통도사 for my first time last week and there were about 50 monks praying/chanting, and one of the most powerful temple experiences I've ever had. What a special place!
@ I lived in Busan for 8 years and recently moved up to Seoul. The 기장군 area has many hidden spots worth exploring. I would highly recommend 철마. Best of luck!
@ethomp05 thanks so much for sharing! Will probably be around 경상남도 a lot this winter so we will have to check it out! We went to a temple called 은진사 recently that we saw from the highway randomly that was pretty unique as well!
Watching a (drunk?) ajusshi shadow boxing to the music of a mini-saxophone player in the middle of a plaza is probably the most Korean thing I have seen. 😆 Do you guys find yourself eating out a lot more because you are saving money by not renting an apartment or because it's harder to cook meals in the van?
@blackbelt2000 hahaha it was a sight to be seen for sure! We didn't film it but the main singer came on later and had to ask them to stop but they just kept on dancing. I think we have been eating out a lot because we were really busy dealing with a trekking video which we uploaded the week before this one. We didn't have much time to cook or really learn how to live in a van. Starting to get better at it now that things are a bit quieter!
Do you have a hard time understanding the accent? My dad speaks with a slight satoori. My wife, who is white, has a very very difficult time understanding him. I know a lot of my Korea classmates who had a hard time understanding professors who had southern accents. I think I would struggle with show situation as I need a shower every day. If I lived in Korea or Japan, I might get up early just to go to the public bath every day.
@DanLee8884 I have a very difficult time understanding 사투리 for sure! My wife Yujin's Dad is from Jeolla-do, and at first I could barely understand anything he said as he uses a lot of 사투리. The more we hang out together the easier it is, but It's not easy that's for sure! Also I think this lifestyle is perfectly suited to Korea/Japan for all of the public baths!
@jeffreylim5977 so far food has been the most expensive for sure! Haha. Definitely starting to cook more now though that our project is over and we are just living the "normal" life again.
@alejandramorales2485 yes they do! Most of the campsites here allow for RV parking and they have electricity to hook up to them, and there are also campsites that have a lot of RVs parked at all times and you can rent one for the night (but you can't drive it away).

@danielbeckerton7418 oh wow thank you so much for this recommendation! We have a lot to see next time in Yeosu thanks to you!
NICE~
@gun5997 thank you very much!
To escape the SCORCHING heat this summer we swam at Songjeong beach. It was nice.
I went to that beach back in the mid 90s. Little different back then 😉
That is my favourite temple as well. Back in the 90s we were the only ones there. In 2024 everyone was there.
@ALEX-cs6vo haha I bet it was nice in that super hot weather! Also I bet it was such a nice quiet beach in the 90s! It's gotten a lot more popular in recent years for sure.
Busan is a beautiful place.
@lucassemnicho it's a really nice place eh! Always love going there!
Thanks!
@dericmpark8381 thanks so much again Deric! Much appreciated, and hope you have an amazing week!
🙌🏻❤😊
@irahera6404 😊🙏
7:44 처음에 볼때는 몰랐는데 두번째 보다가 빵터졌네ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
여윽시 볼 줄 알았엉 😁😁😁
한국 가고싶어지는 영상이닷❤❤
@lilyinthaworld ㅋㅋㅋ 고마워! 😊 한국은 작은 나라이지만 예쁜 곳이 진짜 많지! 뉴질랜드도 가보고 싶어!
Watching a (drunk?) ajusshi shadow boxing to the music of a mini-saxophone player in the middle of a plaza is probably the most Korean thing I have seen. 😆
Do you guys find yourself eating out a lot more because you are saving money by not renting an apartment or because it's harder to cook meals in the van?
Matt, Which expenses is higher in a Van life so far,Food or fuel?
@jeffreylim5977 so far food has been the most expensive for sure! Haha. Definitely starting to cook more now though that our project is over and we are just living the "normal" life again.
Love the Rick and Morty shirt!!!
Thanks a lot! 😁 That's my favorite shirt! 😉 (From 🤓)
Not sure if I'm asking correctly since I don't have a camper van or RV yet, but does South Korea have RV parks?
@alejandramorales2485 yes they do! Most of the campsites here allow for RV parking and they have electricity to hook up to them, and there are also campsites that have a lot of RVs parked at all times and you can rent one for the night (but you can't drive it away).
Found out the US has changed for the worse did you. Glad you are back in Korea and will enjoy your video again. Thank you.
@ohwell2790 thanks a lot for checking out our videos! Hope all is well!
