It's a sign that climate change is real and we must do something about it. Scientists have been warning for 50 years. But many decisionmakers are to greedy, focused on their career, lazy and dumb to do the right thing.

@@meatwad7133 Yep, but Texas will be too.
@@nickl5658 Where are all these 1 in 1000 year events coming from? Did they all decide to wait until now to come at us one right after another?
I lived in Houston for 7 years and I swear, I went through Harvey and about 4 other "once in a ______ year floods." Once in 100yrs, once in 300, once in 500, once in 1000yrs. Every August I would start to be on edge. When they would say on the news that it could flood I'd start thinking of plans to skip town for a few days or stock up (usually meant long lines at stores). I'm honestly traumatized by it and can't imagining not paying attention to weather warnings.
I find emergency preparedness (evacuation bags, pre stocked supplies, etc.) to be therapeutic for some of my fears….
Climate change is a myth 🤧🤧🤧

Maybe we should start considering the storms normal if you have multiple once in a lifetime storms in less than a decade
@@tinkthestrange I mean yeah. It's depressing asf because we know we alone caused this but we gotta adapt. 🤷🏻
This is from weather manipulation- plain to see that nature is trying to balance out
So, everytime I think about moving, the weather always reminds me that where I live is not as bad as other cities. GOD bless those dealing with extreme heat, wildlife, drought and/or excessive rain.
TO ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE WORLD:
If You Have Been Suffering from Any Kind of Disaster, Ever Since 1974, You Have All the Rights to BLAME Them All to Those Authorities in Your Governments and Their Reporters as Well, For Blocking You from The Awesome News of The Millennium Coming Down from The Almighty Creator.
Here Is the Truth Which They Have Been Blocking You From, Ever Since 1974.
The Almighty Creator Sent HIS Messenger “Dr. Rashad Khalifa”, PhD in Chemistry, a Scientist in 1974. He Was Supported BY Irrefutable Scientifically Proven Mathematical Miracles in The Arabic Quran, Based on Number “19”. Number “19” Happens to Be in Chapter “74” of The Arabic Quran Named, “Hidden Secret”. The Almighty’s Messenger Was Sent to The Most Important Community in The World, (U.S. of A). These Scientifically Proven Miracles Based on Mathematics, The Exact Science, Shaken Off and Dusted Off the Arabic Quran from All Those Distortions Throughout the History. And Now We Have the Only Scientifically Proven “Arabic Quran” Based on Mathematics, with Corrected Chapter Numbers, Verse Numbers, And Corrected Spellings in Our Website: (www.religionwhistleblower.com), Despite Those 50 Different Arabic Qurans Being Printed All Over the World Which, They Are All WRONG.
The Scientifically Proven Arabic Quran Comes with Sets of Dietary Instructions Which Tells You Exactly What to Do in Order to Be Happy, in Perfect Security, And Being Provided with Provisions, in This Life and in The Hereafter, Despite Those Garbage That You Hear from Those Preachers, Rabbis and Mullahs Whom, They Just Feed You with Their Own Nonsense Conjectures without Any Proofs from Those Distorted Scriptures.
The Almighty Creator Calls HIMSELF as “ELAH”, or “ELOH”, or “AL ELAH” Meaning “ALLAH” in ALL of HIS Scriptures in Their Original Languages in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Arabic Language Yet Wicked Humans Made Up 4200 Fake and False Names for HIM. This Is Called “Shirk”, “the Ones Who Place Partner with ALLAH”.
The Excellent Literary Composition of the Arabic Quran Interlocks with Awesome Mathematical Composition to the Point That if You Take Away Even One Letter It Could Easily Be Exposed. One of the Main Function of the Scenically Mathematical Miracle of the Arabic Quran Was to EXPOSE Those Two SHEYTANIC VERSES Added to the End of Chapter “9” By Those Who, Were Copying from Prophet Muhammad’s HANDWRITTEN Arabic Quran In Order to Praise Prophet Muhammad. That Was How They Started IDOLIZING Prophet Muhammad After His Departure Up to the Present Time. This Shows that Those People From 1400 Years Ago Up to 1974 Did NOT Deserve to READ the Original Arabic Quran Written by Prophet Muhammad’s Hand. Just look at Those So-called Muslims Who, Left the Arabic Quran for Those satanic Books Long Time Ago. They Are Among the MOST Unhappiest Creatures on Earth. Although, the Almighty Creator Respite Them For Some Times Yet, They Have Been Idolizing Prophet Muhammad ALL These Year. You must know that you would NOT find any of those Rituals in today’s so called Muslim’s in ALLAH’s Arabic Quran. They are only following from those sheytanic books written by human devil.
Pay Attention Please, From ONE Creator We Made Up 4200 Fake, False and Manmade Religions with Those Ridiculous Outfits Yet, ALLAH Has ONLY and ONLY ONE RELIGION and that Is:
“SUBMIT YOUR FACES TOWARD ALLAH”.
That Was the Religion of ALL of HIS Prophets and Messengers from the beginning of this Earth to the End of The World but, sheytan Is Doing His Outmost.
ALLAH Is the Only TEACHER of HIS Arabic Quran, Just Make Sure Those Misled Translators DO NOT Teach You Their Own Made Up qurans.
You Must Know that the Arabic Quran Is the FINAL TESTAMENT and It Was Sent to ALL the People in the WORLD and Prophet Muhammad was the Last “PROPHET”, “NABI”, Meaning the One with a SCRIPTURE, But NOT the Last MESSENGER, “RASOUL”, the One with Irrefutable MIRACLE from Our Creator.
There Is an Especial Knowledge in the Arabic Quran Called “HIKMAH” Which Only Could be Found by People Who Have a “Pure Heart”, “Qalib Motahhar”.
I Am Sure You Must Have Studied Our Past History and Noticed the Consequences of Rejecting Our Creator’s Message. As We Have Been Noticing That Ukraine and Russian Government Did NOT Tell Their People About the Almighty’s Message Although They Have Been Informed Many Many Times Before. So as U.S. Government. That Is Why They Are Suffering from So Many Disasters Yet, The Worst is On the Way. As You See These Disasters Are Going to Come Down More and More Yet People Are Completely Heedless.
You Should Know That the Almighty Creator Is the ONLY JUDGE among HIS Creatures, The All Gracious, The All Merciful, The All Knower, The All Hakim, The All Schemer, and The All Avenger.
All of These Today’s Disasters Are the Consequences of Our Shortcomings. Save Yourselves and Turn to Your Creator Before You Leave This World as a Loser Because the Worst Is Coming.
{Thank ALLAH Who made me Dedicate 32 years of my life to ALLAH and HIS Arabic Quran and HIS Scientifically Proven Mathematical Miracles in HIS Arabic Quran. That has been awesome blessings which I could never thank ALLAH enough}.
The areas north of Dallas and suburbs were fine and are essentially flood-proof. Slight elevation and creek infrastructure differences make all the difference when it comes to flooding from heavy rain. When looking at moving, rather than generalizing cities or states it's better to do detailed research on the specific neighborhoods using government maps and historical records. Same with looking at crime maps. Crime can be bad in one area, but a 30 min drive away it can be nearly non-existent.
I wish everyone involved a safe journey to a safe place. A once-in-a-thousand-year flood. Until the next once-in-a-thousand-year flood but a little bit bigger.

One of the biggest problems with the floods in our area is because of the recent drought we’ve been facing. Because of the incredibly dry and stiff hard ground, the water can’t seep into the dirt so it just sits on the ground but with a large amount of water, a deadly flood like this is inevitable
Also all the concrete and poor drainage..
Love and care from OKLAHOMA ❤ TEXAS 🥺💔
A mixture made in hell for sure. Almost nothing is absorbed with the ground that parched. I hope you and you family are safe. Scary stuff.
Isn't it also because the ground in Texas has Clay material so it doesnt absorb water as well as areas that are more tropical or more up north into the colder states?
Welcome to our future

@@ronzombie6541 Very much agree, however, destructive human activities definitely contributed to its untimely occurrence and severity. Past climate changes were gradual, allowing creatures/organisms time to adapt and survive...I'm not sure with the one we are experiencing now.

SONG & LYRICS
When God has had enough
That’s when Things are gonna Start to get Rough
When God has had Enough
You Should Turn Before Things Start to
Get Rough
Hurtful and painful, Broken, and Shameful
Humbled and Lonely, Angry and Tearful
Sadly it's Needful, To Help You to See Thru

You’ve Were Handed.
So Flat on Your back
Down on Your Knees
Open your Eyes So within
Your Heart You will See Call on Him

Things are gonna Start to get Rough
You Should Turn Before Things Start to get Rough
Before the Fire Destroys
And the Sword and the Blood
The Curses and Plagues and
The Droughts and the Floods
Then The Enemy Invading
No Peace in Your Crying
Cuz Everyone’s Dying
No Hope You Are Finding
Although You Keep Trying
You Cant Stop Crying
You Keep Denying
God is the One
The Hope And The One
Alpha Omega
Beginning And End
No Other One
You’re Holy and Mighty
The Alpha Omega
First and The Last

I live in Toledo ohio, but I was in Dallas Fort Worth last week. We were looking at finishing our job and coming home friday. But one guy wanted to hold off and wait to finish on monday. I am so glad that didnt happen.
Ground was so dry that you can see cracks everywhere if you are living in the country side. We had rain between lewisville and Gainesville and as soon rain touched ground, it was gone. Cities have this problem because poor drainage, destroying the few hills we have, cutting trees and pouring concrete, the water runs faster on concrete than open fields this is why it get collected faster and this is the result. Get use to it because this will be an often problem.
Fr there was a drought in fort worth until that rain on monday
Another problem is the zoning, or lack thereof, in many Texas towns and cities. Somebody builds a drainage culvert and somebody else comes around and cuts it off. No centralized drainage planning.

Reports "The highest rain total in 90 years" then calls it a 1 in 1,000-year rain. That's modern news for you.

Stuff like this already gives me insane anxiety regarding personal life (pets, car, food, etc.) what would I do?? But I work at an animal shelter and with the homeless both on the streets and in the shelter. seeing this makes me cry and start to panic. I feel my chest get tight. What would we do? Blessings and gratitude to the rescue teams saving lives and risking lives. Utmost respect and honor to you all.
Thank you for helping. God bless you.
Vets like pets. Big bills. Global warming twaddle is just an excuse to blame valuable energy resources so as to buy them at pennies in the pound. Animal shelters exist to employ bleeding heart types and give the directors a nice cosy job. I have a clear way of thinking that annoys some.people.
There is nothing you can do.
Pray to God? Tell Him your anxieties. Read in the Bible of stories of God's saving people. Exodus has parting the Red Sea, one of the stories of Elisha with Elijah in 2 Kings 2 of the Holy Bible (I use KJV, ESV or HCSB) has the parting of a river, some of the Gospels (The Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) have stories of Jesus the Christ providing food for thousands....
It might be helpful to listen to stories of other's testimonies of God providing for them here on RUclips. God will provide. Edit: in response to commentator(s) I will clarify what I should have before. I meant "God will Provide" as a name translated from Hebrew as to the function of God.
It’s pointless helping a bunch of drug addicts ignoring help
The craziest part for me was that this happened on the first day of class, and school was not closed. I had to drive to school an hour away, hoping my GPS was avoiding the places that were flooded, and when I got there there were so many students that I finally found a parking spot after 30 minutes of looking.
God bless all involved !
Watching from Australia. I hope everyone is safe, loom after each other and see how your Govt manages these floods. If they are not effective or fair and balanced, vote them out.
99.9% of us saw no flooding here in Dallas. DFW has big network of lakes / reservoirs, and hundreds of miles of gigantic water pipelines that all work together to channel, gather, store, and deliver water all across the region. We just opened another $2.3 billion 150 mile water pipeline 4 months ago to put us decades ahead of the population curve. For 99% of us here, we saw no flooding and had no problems. Only idiots would be out driving in that rain!
@@TheSecondWitness People just don't get the concept of dont drown, turn around...
@HappyMe33 The area normally floods every 10-15 years. What is not normal is to live in such an unsafe place and ignoring the history of weather in that area.
@@PolionL isn't it also because the ground in Texas has Clay material so it doesn't absorb water as well as areas that are more tropical or more up north into the colder states?
@HappyMe33 If you choose to live in a river valley or on a flood plain, the state bears no responsibility for that. If you choose to live in a house with out a source of heat because you fail to understand the dangers of cold, the state bears no responsibility for that.
Since 1908 the state of Texas and many municipalities there, have enacted numerous laws and ordinances through the years to mitigate the dangers of flooding.
Governments are under no obligation to protect you from any thing other than a military invasion, even then it is the people's responsibility to defend ourselves.
Pay attention to the weather, know the risk of flash flooding, and always avoid danger areas. Take personal responsibility for yourself and if you live in a danger area, i strongly suggest you move soon.
I remember they had four of those in 1990s. They would have 6 inches one day, 8 inches the next, 20 inches in a week. Austin, San Antonio... kind of all standard once-every-1000-year floods that are amazingly 2-3-4 times a decade.
Shouldn’t they be saving all this water, since we’re in a drought???
Man, I must be old. I can remember this happening before.
The way Texas handled the big freeze, I would hate to be there for any natural disaster.
That’s why you should never expect anyone else to help. That’s socialism.
Its actually not bad. I live the the east Texas area. Snow , rain, tornadoes, mega hail, even lightning storms.
This is completely normal around here.
The dryness is new

Incredible means unbelievable. Not necessarily a good thing.
Its NOT a once-in-a-thousand-year flood.
Wanna dig up pharoahs good for them
What’s incredible is that this was forecasted a week out and local news telling people not to drive in flooded streets, and idiot after idiot did it.
Im sure you see things in the natural world and say beautiful, you should be saying incredible as well because her "catastrophes" have molded and chiseled our wonderful planet to be what is today.
This breaks my heart 🥺
Mobilize the National Guard. This is exactly what they train for. Get those people to safety.

We had that happen in Houston a few years ago was hurricane Harvey it was worse than this. Hopefully everyone is safe
There wasnt a hurricane foo
I think I remember flooding in Houston
@@pl5555 we had Allison foo
Dallas doesnt have hurricanes
Well Houston is one of the fastest sinking cities in the world because they pump out all the ground water to water their golf courses and the city sinks which causes worst flooding.
we need smart drainage systems that catch all this water towards the Colorado and Mississippi
We do, Mother Nature made it! It’s called the Mississippi Watershed, it drains millions of square miles from nearly the entire Great Plains, Midwest, Great Lakes, and the Ohio valley! The 4th largest in the world! All towards the Gulf of Mexico. We destroyed it with concrete and obscene agricultural practices.

There was no flooding in Plano. These were mostly low lying spots that normally flood. It was worse this time because the rock hard clay was so dry it couldn't absorb the water fast enough.
This will soon be the new normal.

there are something like 100 metro areas this size around the globe. for 1 of those 100 areas to get a 1000 year flood in a given year is not usual but it's not enormously unlikely either.

Kentucky went dry to wet, then Texas went dry to wet, what's next CA?? Plus nonsoon season this year was a monster... And NO hurricane this summer is very weird
There was a massive sand cloud blowing off the Sahara Desert across the Atlantic that prevents hurricane formation. Unfortunately it looks like that sand cloud has cleared up and there will be new hurricanes forming soon.
I thought climate change was making kazillions of hurricanes. Must be climate change that's sparing everyone from them now 🥳
