Not sure but the new replacement fan didn’t have the shorter pin. I’m thinking since it was an open box someone threw the wrong hardware in the box. I bet though as you said the pin could have been used to extend or add a rod.
@@shivamgandhi5779 I do plan to install another smaller fan which I already have wires ran and box installed towards front of garage. I do get air movement through out the entire garage with just this one but yes another fan will definitely help in the winter to push the heat down.
not quite enough space due to my garage tracks towards the front. I also had to deal with my ceiling light placement that runs down the middle. Probably end up with a 6’ fan just haven’t found the right one yet.
Still working great! It ran everyday this past winter and made a huge difference in moving the heat. Right now I only turn it on when needed but works every time and really makes it comfortable when it’s hot out and I’m in the garage working. No regrets on the purchase or cost. Appreciate you asking and thanks for checking out the video!
Thanks for the heads up and tips Joe, I ordered and have 3 of the exact same fans to install after my building is finished.
Awesome! The fan was definitely with the hassle for me. Once you get one up the others will be easy. Appreciate the comment!
I wonder if that short pin was to connect only through the down rod to a second (optional?) down rod and not through the motor unit?

Lookin good Joe!!
Much appreciated! Thanks for checking out the video!
The nice thing with HVLS fans is they don't cost much to run but put off a lot of air.
Definitely correct! Been running all winter and haven’t noticed anything on my electric bill.
Is one fan enough for that big garage?

@@journeys-with-joe why not install the same fan?

You've had the fan up for a bit now, what do you think?

What size is your building? Wondering if I need 2 of them for a 48 x 60 x 16h polebarn?
