@@Ladioz You don't have to keep it minimized in settings and it would be set up to start at log on and yes you can close it after setting the fan speeds.
I think I might try this one. I used to use the one that MSI made for their motherboard but I didn't like how annoying it was to get it to open user interface screens and how often it wanted to update the software rather than let me do anything.
You can install a program like Wise System Monitor which is also free. It will put a little bar on your desktop that shows CPU and GPU temperatures on the desktop as well as temps for other things if you open the main software screen. It shows temperatures in degrees Celsius as well as a color coding. Green is best, yellow means check on things, red means it's too hot. Most CPUs can safely run at 100 degrees C at least for a bit. Better to keep your CPU and GPU below 60 C. If your fans are keeping your temps in the green zone, even if you are playing games or making videos etc. they are set correctly. This Fan Control software also shows you temperatures, but only when you have the software main screens open. Having a little task bar on your desktop showing temps, percent RAM used, upload and download speeds all of the time is more handy.
@@rohitray5947 Ya I think you need an Asus motherboard for it to work. I also just built another PC with an Asrock motherboard & can't seem to find any program to slow down my case fans.
Unfortunately mine don't speed up or down when using the sliders, despite being detected and showing the RPM. I'm using a Corsair plugin for my Elite Capillex h150i. It also doesn't work on my 6950 XT, which doesn't require a plugin to be detected. Anyone else have this problem and a workaround?
You need to buy a fan hub controller which is the main thing you need controlling the fans or straight fan bios settings. This software is pretty sophisticated without needing hardware though.
@@NeppVNO connected correct, Aero Cool use a 2 wire fan header + & - , has no PWM wire, and fan control program ONLY detects PWM Fans, the Aero cool fan controller I have has buttons on remote to adjust fan speed & lights 😜😜
Nice tools. Thanks. Does it work for the power supply fan too ?
Yes
Been using this for many years and I find it to be the best fan control software I have ever used.
Do you need to keep the software minimized or starting with windows to work ? can you close the software after setting the fan speeds?

I have the control software via signalRGB on my personal rig which has a custom Waterloop in it and use the bios fan controllers for my kids PC
Should a home-user be mucking around with the fan speed? If set incorrectly you risk heat build-up, so how do you know which is correct?
if you're not gaming or doing heavy load shit why the fuck you need this app lol. Use brain

Will this program work on laptops as well with fans built-in from the company?
I use AI Suite 3 for my fan controller & it works really well for me. :)
Is that only for Asus ?

why does the PC not have fan control built in?
In BIOS it does

Thank you for sharing
You're welcome
i have my laptop on 4 wooden 3/4" blocks with a small desk fan blowing over the top and underneath of the laptop...still running fine after 10 years

My Acer Nitro laptop has Nitro Sence. You can control the Two fan speeds from this software.👍
Don't work on some fan control boxes, example... Aero Cool, as they have 2 wire pmw fan headers, fan control ONLY works on 4 wire pmw fan/ controllers
no lol.. you're doing something wrong

does not work with 3pin fans
It ony detects the CPU and GPU fans and no others. sadly.
only recognized my gpu fan and nothing else
Game changer for poweredge servers used for homelabs…pitty its only windows based..

Anyone still use speefan? Is this better? i have speedfan still but it feels outdated but still works well and does the job
