Tell him my toes, my way. Legacy of the forefathers.
It's time for truckers to refuse deliveries to California . If they want to extort you, you should extort them back.
Between this and the cray cray emissions stuff they are demanding its gonna be that way pretty soon. I say do one better and shut off the hoover dam too 😂😂😂
Agreed will never happen though. Too over flooded a market, too many drivers don't care about the integrity of the profession just running the load
You're exactly right
Truckers wont get together to boycott shit. You can have 2 drivers in a whorehouse and theyd come out fuckin each other.
Everyone else comes together and get shit done. Truckers are the weakest most selfish mfs that don’t stand for nothing. One week and we would be good.
I will never go to California with my truck
Did I ask you?
Neither will I.
Every day they come out with BS for trucks drivers
LOL people still think they can call politicians to change there mind..
Cash talks bullshit walks...
Why are we still going into California
I bet there’s a lot of those sorta retired drivers that go there and spend their time where it is warm. Vacation truckers. My company has some big clients that have facilities there. I’m sure it’s part of the contract work.
Well done Daniel. Retire in peace. You earned it.
I am a Truck Driver, I refuse to go to California for no amount of money and does Truck Driver who live in California I don't understand why you still live in that State doesn't appreciate you, When you see the big company moving out that's a sign for you to start moving too, but if you still remain in California don't complain take your pants down and take it.
A lot of people can't afford to just pick up and move.
@@galactus751$20 will get you a nice size Uhaul
If they live in California they can.
@@galactus751 Bs, were truckers. Our home had wheels or we can acquire one. So that’s no excuse.
I'm losing pity for those in California. Get Out!
Facts yall in California should’ve strike years ago stop complaining you never gonna strike they just gonna keep making this laws because yall not doing anything to stop emm leave the state or deal with it you letting it happen.
That man of 40 years . Thank you sir. I'm sorry this country turned out the way it is. I'm 20 years in , the driving force is so nasty now.
More money laundering.
California is spending more than they make. Truckers are being made responsible for the governments failure
You go to the Rail yard with a new chassis They take the tires and other parts off and put old tire on it We have caught them doing it to our company chassis This port inspection just seem to be another way to scam company’s and drivers out of money
That is what truckers did to our piggy back.trailers.
Shut her down! America can’t run with out us.
What this post needs is a name and a face to the politicians that are pushing this. They need to hear directly from the people that they are effecting
They are ALL DEMOCRATS!!
Congratulations Daniel, thank you for 44 years of hard work and dedication!
Cali really wants to get rid of the life line that built and continues to keep the country going 🤦♂️
How could they even do something like this . This is bull💩
That a Old Hand Professional Truck Driver....Appreciate! 43 Years of Service...
All they do is pressure truck drivers and not shippers and brokers to pay O/O better rates
Fr!!! They need to pressure there own selfs to stop being a**holes and money greedy
this man of 44 years of over the road of hard work. this picture is a true trucker that is dressed for work.
Ok now, let’s remember that things happen for a reason. I’ve worked port loads before, and a lot of the chassis were POS! It was just a matter of time.
I am not even a truck driver and i watch this channel to find out what is going on with the supply chain in our country. I am amazed at how many laws aim to make truck drivers poor and inconvenienced and drive up cost of living. Thanks to all the drivers out there, stay strong.
Boycott California drivers still going in there
I don't understand why anybody goes to California New York New Jersey or Chicago all it is is huge tickets they're crazy for going there
@@yamama7265what's wrong with Chicago?
🤣😂🤣…really and what is that going to do and which one of you genius will organize all these unorganizable truckers?
Move from California to Texas & start up your own trucking business & takeover ‼️‼️
@@robertruschak7083 if any of them moved to Texas they cannot vote blue I will get the same garbage here they need to go red
Mafia and DOT walking hand in hand again 🤦♂️🤦♂️
From one old school to another enjoy your retirement. Thank you for driving for us.
Do your pre trips properly, don't run trash equipment like most O/O do, and you wont have to worry about this
Hell yeah brother, especially going to California. Count on going thru the fine tooth comb, you ain’t an illegal alien!
@@user-qk5og6zy5xI’m illegal driving company put me in gargbage truck I get pull over in Cali but no problems !!!
A real trucker. Thank you Daniel...wish I had the opportunity to meet you. I'm new to trucking and respect drivers like you
Sorry, I worked the port of Oakland for a year. I have seen so many Out of service trucks on a daily basis, it was unreal. I am talking about trucks with their headlights GONE!!! You could see violations without inspecting, they were that blatant.
Pier rats are under the bottom of the barrel
I just quit the biz after 45yrs..
I lived down the street from T-6 in Portland long ago..
The trucks I saw go by the house shaking/rattling made me wonder how they kept going..
Run an old j.b.hunt cabover into the ground and go buy another when it fails since it's cheaper than fixing
Ports ,,, American President line was WORST IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED BACK WHEN,, HOW BOUT YOU N NOW,!?🤔🧐
Wow when I was hauling out of the ports back in the 90s each shipping company had there own chassis and you had to pass thru a roadability inspection before leaving the port there mechanic would simply check break lights turn signals bump the tires and brake pads, cut the engine off and listen for air leaks anything found go get another chassis, and start all over, but if nothing was found they'd wave you thru back then the whole process on took a few minutes because it. was like a assembly line with two different guys on each side of the chassis with about ten lines for inspection and about twenty trucks in each line could take all day/a couple of hours to get in and out,...that's why I quit the ports in the early 90s to mid 90s...hundreds of trucks trying to get in, some sleeping in the truck overnight just to be first in line when they open up at 7:00a.m. .
It was time to shut down thea3 trucks after deregulation. Trucking was a crooked game after deregulation
It was WAY MORE CROOKED BEFORE DEREGULATION LOL……does Jimmy Hoffa ring a bell? 🤔
I would never trust a government regulation to safely repair anything. Additionally, you would have every right to sue when their attempted repair fails!
NyNj port has this already... but it isnt enforced in all ports...
People still think that California is go go place for truckers 🤣
When I was an OO I ran in and out of JaxPort. Sitting in line to check in I looked around and figured that I was the only truck that would pass a road side DOT. I had just spent nearly $5k on new tires. NO wonder the rate were low unless you wanted to run more than 250 miles away from the port. I was running Coors from Elkton VA. Most port drivers did not want to run further than Atlanta. Sold the truck in 2009 rather than try to compete with people who run junk. I support mandatory DOT every trip when you go in and out of the port. If you have to pay, pass it onto the customer.
You should have seen Port Elizabeth in late ‘80s and early ‘90s, if you ever needed a bungee cord, there where hundreds on every truck holding things together 😊
Those port chassis are trash. Everything from locked up brakes to faulty electrical. Its rare to get a brand new DCLI chassis
Shut it DOWN,
Happy retirement, Daniel, from a lady trucker in carhardts and work boots.
Godspeed, Daniel! 4 million safe miles is quite an accomplishment. Go enjoy your life!🎉
Thank you Daniel.
Make getting in and out of the ports a lot more difficult.
Good job.
That’s a trip because I agree and have the same experience as your guest. I’m also from Victorville California and used to work with the Walmart Port Project and it was a mess, especially at the Navy lot sometime.
Here is an idea, how about open a truck shop (with all the space and tools) where the truckers can train and get certified to repair their own truck and pay them for the training and work.
Corruption fucks everything up. Almost had a truck rim and tire go through my windshield from a chassis that a bearing failed.
hats of to you Dan enjoy be safe good luck No more BS drivers to deal with
Forced repairs then they pay the bill.
Everyone is extorted one way or another.
Daniel 👍 You Rock!
*YOU GIVE SO MUCH INFORMATION TO NOT ONLY TRUCK DRIVERS, YET ALSO THE CONSUMERS LIKE ME, TO KEEP US ADVISED AS TO WHAT'S GOING ON*
😻 *THANK YOU VERY MUCH* 😻

44 years . Wow
Appreciate you brother
🎉 Daniel Beumel 🎉 Happy Retirement 🚚 🚛 Brother … God 🙏 Be With You !!!! 🇺🇸 🌎 ❤
Do not go to CA
No respect at all 😟
They have been doing this for years. Back in the Jersey ports that is a common thing. Ones I can came in with a flat and the port mechanism put a drill to the good tire next to the flat one. It’s always a cash grab and our expense. That why I always made sure my equipment is legit
While everyone could try just shutting it down just like the semi truck drivers in Puerto Rico did.
Hey Daniel. Thanks for your service. God bless you and enjoy your new freedom.
I've been driving 13 yrs for America, and the trucking industry. As far as this topic, I personally have driven in many different areas of CA. In retrospect and witness to these container haulers, the whole thing of these trailers, there's probably 70% of these trailers, rolling down the highway and no lights, no lights @ night, tires smoking on the hubs, brakes smoking, and other things you just shake your head at amazement. So, regrettably, every CMV and driver will either be up to a passing inspection of whatever level inspection or it doesn't. If you don't have your shit together, that includes the port CMVs, they will need way more work than the long haulers. They will either have their lights, signals, brakes and etc fixed, or tickets. I have no violation in 13 yrs. I do my pre and post inspection. If you have your equipment up to regulations, you have nothing to worry about. About time, that the port drivers are held to the same expectations as any other drivers. They worry about cost, because 90% of the trailers are not going to pass. This whole video talks about how this is going to be a problem or cost this or that. I go through many scales and as I said, if you have your shit maintained and up to the regulations, you do your inspections, you have nothing to worry about. Simple shit to understand. If you don't, break out your wallet, no matter CA or no CA ticket, you are absolutely getting the ticket if you are not doing your job as a driver. The end.
Alex, as I said before they are going to regulate owner operator right out of business because they know that they impose anything they want because we will not pull together and stand for anything positive, and once the regulation is applied it want be retracted because there is to much easy money to collect all in the name of safety and it will only get worse because we will not stand together. The most powerful industry with the weakest professionals.
i refuse all loads to cali..i had a dispatch try to force me to take a refer load to cali found another driver job the next day paying more..refuse all loads to cali period!!
Thank you for your service Daniel but I need my flip flops so I can sit in that truck all day. 😂😂😂
#FJB
If they don’t like your equipment, they only recourse should be they don’t put a container on it
Leones Express those people scam owner operators with pay stay away from that company
You even have any oil on your engine and Dot has you down for the day or longer you don't go until it's fixed
Unconstitutional
That is correct. It should and is unlawful to seize someone's property. Private companies cannot do that. That is theft
Hi Alex
Some of this coming about cause of these new/foreign trucks drivers. Just like just 3 days ago. A foreign guy could not slide tandems on trailer at his pickup. Guard refused to let him in. He got angry. Later found out breaks are not working on the trailer. Guard said he still wanted to be loaded. Said he did not want to leave. Saw the guards escort him off the lot. Said just hold him up call the cops to get a dot cop there and as soon as he hits the street he is fair game for dot cop. Said that guy deserves to be caught and possibly have license revoked. No reason that guy should have been still wanting to load 44k on his trailer with no working brakes!!!
Another way for this administration to put people out of business! Road warriors are no more
I work at those places an the union doesn’t even fix their junk. This just a money grab before you exit
Chp has been doing inspections outside the terminals for decades already and on busy streets
I'm hoping they give the group discount since all inspections and repairs are on-site.
Congratulations Daniel 🎊 👏 Enjoy your retirement.
Oakland ssa some time is no parking at trouble if you park next to other truck the is not mart on floor you get suspended for 2 weeks
Alex!!!! Daniel is spot on!
If they keep on messing with us as truck drivers, we are going to refuse all of us to go to the cross. The state line of California and the people is going to start going hungry thirsty enough is enough. That's why I refuse to go to California and it's going to get to the point that we are all going to refuse to go into California. It's stupid. Maybe we need to stop going to California for one week and I bet the rules will change. That's just my comment. I will refuse to go to California for no more loads in or out
I pulled loads out the terminals in la n long beach and i tell you this all the junk equipment belong to the terminals the chassis that belong to companys get a 90 day inspection and are road worthy. The terminals and all those lazy workers that work for the terminals are nothing but thieves
Congratulations, Daniel, on your retirement! May you enjoy it.
Thankfully, my husband is a company driver and doesn't go to the ports. He absolutely hates going to California. He will when he has to, but he will only drive at night there.
When are drivers going to stop delivering to NY and California????
Only 2-3 ports actually check chassis , APM , TTI , & EVERGREEN. All other ports let you slide out, in other words it’s good but it’s bad for the one that have they’re own chassis. It’s always best to have a port chassis they fix lights , tires , b.i.t ect.
Sounds like a move to pressure folks into renting chassis from their large contributors.
California loves to ruin your name but when your name matters and the lies are always lies, big dawgs come out to protect ♥️
44 years. And this is how America thanks him? What a shame.
Why should it be just up to the owners to inspect the vehicles do you really think that if they see something wrong they're going to just stop driving. Drive 40,000 lbs, down the highway at 70 miles an hour isn't a good scene if your truck is not safe. It shouldn't just be up to the truckers to make that decision if your truck is not worthy of the road too bad for you,,, fix it
How hard is it to keep a chassis in good working order
I'm all good with the inspection going in, and if not worthy, you don't get loaded.
That's perfect you don't get loaded. That's the way it should be but not to see somebody's property.
DOT LIKES TO INTIMIDATE WHILE THEY ARE HOUSED, PAID TO DEAL WITH EXPECTED THINGS..aka no brain work….DOT LIKES TO SET YOU UP TO FAIL IN EVERY WAY DOT IS NOT SAFE FOR US TRUCKERS.
Geez man ‼️🙏God help us 🙏
Stick together? Never happen!!! 😅😅
This is another way to screwed with owner operators got 43 years driving with nothing on my license or tickets I don’t need a port person who doesn’t have a clue inspecting my equipment and ripping me off and this will also effect supply chain as it will slow down the process any pier work is bad enough with wait time so good l getting you goods also will effect or work time especially with elds these morons will stop at nothing but what the hell cause if they inspected it and it is good and you leave and a wheel comes off they are responsible let’s see how they like that law suit
Salute Brother Daniel , you be back in a drivers seat , I chose mixer truck , local work and keeps ya moving, playing in the mud . I am enjoying it , Good luck , and give it a year or too then come on back out and play .
I don't see how those drivers that run out of the ports in California even survive while dealing with so much bs.I would have hauling containers a long time ago in California just because of all the delays.
It's a really good question. Many of us are Going Out of business.
Starting with owner operators. Sad to say. I can count at least ten that I know. And not to mention the company owners at this duspatched to multiple trucks. You might be next.
i live outta in cally in 1986 to 1994 and talked to those container giuys alot, the rates where bad then, and a lot of crap trucks and trailers running the roads back then,i wouldnt run cally ever, ab5 and smog crap they can keep it
I quit going to CA when they made it 2where I couldn't rest outside of town
Daniel salute🎉
It’s good I use to drive Intermodel 90% chaises are no brakes and landing garages are sassy no one wants to fix only drivers are struggling
Don't really have to stay and California to be a California taxpayer no bs smh
People should go to good old Mike Gibson house and protest on his lawn
I feel bad for drivers that have to operate out there with the current environment. But that’s why I stopped going out there about 4 years ago. Good luck drivers.
😅 glad you're still fighting for the drivers. But let me show you something interesting. Please Google image of a bad truck chassis. And send me a link to that picture. Because unfortunately I can't find one. The reason why I'm putting this out is because the chassis is the frame of the vehicle. If that were to get damaged torqued or anything like that it would be automatically deemed a total loss. To force a chassis repair on an unsuspecting driver. Even if he's the owner operator. Is definitely 100 % cash grab on the ports that run the containers and they're looking to make extra Revenue while making trucks wait at the Docks like Taxi cabs.
I'm torn about this inspection bill. A lot of "can haulers" are on a shoestring budget. That already is tough. However, I've also seen trucks in conditions and with tires that I would not let my worst enemy drive. So what's the happy medium? Now, if you don't own your equipment, you can refuse to drive. But that often puts the driver in a further bind. Ultimately, and regardless of who owns what, the operator will be the 1st to go to prison for operating that unsafe vehicle.
I get what he’s saying, but I’d rather the port check the chassis and not get a ticket and not get a violation rather than the police check in my chassis. I’m out of New Jersey and they already do that there the chassis if somethings wrong with it, you pay to get it fixed and you’re on your way. At least you know your chassis good for the road you gotta fix it anyway as long as you got a good chassis, they don’t even pull you into the check.
