I lost a couple golden pothos to *trauma*. My ex roommates cat brutalized the first one(he let the cat into my room. Cat tore up my ivy [charlie], another viney plant with heart shaped leaves[Harry] and a pothos I spent a year nursing back to health and viney drapy glory [Tabitha] and the dude didn't even apologize), my (recently acquired) kitten got the second one. Just went to town on her while I was sleeping. So now I just keep cacti in my house and everything else lives on the porch because Cats Can't Be Trusted I did wind up with something like six pots of Oxalis triangularis entirely by accident (they just keep happening. They happen so much. Oh my God. I keep having to split them up because they don't stop. They're just happy little fuckers)
Watch out what plants you get with a kitty especially since yours seems to like chewing on the leaves. Most plants are toxic to cats. A Pothos can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and some other symptoms. My cat got into my pothos a puked for a whole day.
@@yourfisharemine yeah, I'm usually very careful with what they're allowed to be around. My older cats know not to eat anything but the cat grass, but the kitten still has a lot to learn. But. Well. She's a kitten so I can't expect too much, you know?
This reminds me of when I had my mom watch a plant of mine while I was moving to a different state in the dead of winter (didn't want to cause my baby any trauma) and she let CATS into the room with her. Well... R.I.P. Imogen. I will always remember you, my first plant baby. -- Oh and then my mom just bought me a random plant to replace her from the grocery store. I would love higher humidity in my house for my orchids but on the other hand I also like not having toxic mold growing in the corners #temperateclimatcantrelate
You could maybe seal the wood of a china display cabinet and increase the humidity in it only. It's not airtight, but if you placed a small dehumidifier elsewhere in the room, you could perhaps get a mini greenhouse type thing happening? They make special LED lights for fishtanks to help live plants grow. No idea if that could work for nonaquatic plants... but LEDs don't get hot. I'm definitely not a plant person (I once killed a cactus).. so keep that in mind, but in theory it should work humidity & mold wise.

Hello: Humidifiers are excellent for plants, but they have a tendency to warp furniture (antiques). I learned the hard way, so I just put trays and bottles with water around my plants and it seems to be OK. Can you make a video of your hoyas, and if you have eppies, please make another video for us. Thank You.
It might depend on how dry the air is to start out with- I live in a basment and have to run a *de* humidifier to get the humidity to 50 or lower (because of mold issues). Her air much be hella dry to start out with if they need help to get it to 50%
I love this video you're hilarious! I'm a subscriber and I can't wait to do it day where I watch all your videos! I love all the plants in the background! I'm new to RUclips in the past year since I got rid of cable. RUclips is my entertainment Channel and then I realized that my love of plants could grow and my knowledge of plants could grow because of you too... And by the way I was able to fix my Keurig or not fixed but use my Keurig coffee maker because of RUclips when it wouldn't close!!! I needed my caffeine... So I've learned the names of many of the plants that I've loved but didn't bother to learn the names. I love gardening I love growing my house plants I'm 70 years old and I can't believe it I started my own RUclips channel. If you'd like to find me the name is Kathleen Murphy and plug in the word orchids coleus philodendron houseplants and you'll find me. I just started growing orchids are collecting them I should say in October or November and I now have over 40 phalaenopsis or at least I have 40. Hard to count them now that summer on summer vacation outside because they're not blooming. I'm going to do a video on my alocasia and colocasia another words elephant ears have quite a few varieties this year. A video on my five gardenia trees and how I've managed to keep them alive over three Winters. My coleus video shows all the coleus then I grew and brought it up from just five mother plants there must be a hundred of cuttings or more and I was able to grow. So please come to my channel and leave some comments so I can grow my channel and I look forward everyday to see if someone left me a comment. And thank you so much in advance for coming and subscribing and maybe clicking like and absolutely positively leaving me of comment. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and the bottom of my plant parts or maybe I should say from the bottom of their Roots we thank you
Shyan Walters there’s actually no objective ‘perfect’ english and the majority of linguists would agree that standard english only has the purpose of educating children to the same written standard rather than spoken, or to be used in informal contexts! the way those 13 year olds speak, if i’m assuming what you mean correctly is actually a new dialect that is emerging as a whole new form of english called mle and it’s not wrong at all, it’s just the evolution of language! (it’s just something i’m really interested in this isn’t a personal attack haha!)
Thank you RUclips recommendations! I will now binge on your channel and learn more about plants. I want start buying plants soon and I don't know where to begin. I need all of the luck in the world.

Because of Jenna, I'm going to get some plants. Laughed at the corner bit because I'm going to put my plants in one. Don't worry, there are two large windows in the corner. 😊 Love your productive tips!
I do not move my plants!! They hate it!! I’ll do a new specimen in a different location to see how my light treats a species. A house isn’t a home without plants and I’m frequently amazed how many people are turned off/creeped out or just generally annoyed by plants. Two kinds of people: the good ones and the bad ones 😂 I was so proud of Jenna but again, I’d expect nothing less of a person who is generally conscientious and compassionate. There’s that ongoing joke about what she’s going to mother to death next! I remember an old video of hers called I hate being a grown up and she had TONS of dead plants and I swear there was a quick cut to a bag of potatoes with healthier roots than her pile of corpse plants!! She’s really grown up and is such a wonderful 32 year old lady. Your review was awesome and I hope she sees it 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻 EDIT: I subbed because your content and editing are GOOD

Youre so chill. Just found on recommended. Will sub!
I'm a 32 year old lady in a 40 year old man body. These videos are precisely for me.
rivahkillah, I welcome everyone ❤️
I'm so happy to see someone react to her video, cause honestly Jenna has opened the door for me regarding keeping plants. Wanted to see the input of someone who's more experienced. Now I have a channel to bingewatch lol
Meggiez, yes! BINGE
Hello: Humidifiers are excellent for plants, but they have a tendency to warp furniture (antiques). I learned the hard way, so I just put trays and bottles with water around my plants and it seems to be OK. Can you make a video of your hoyas, and if you have eppies, please make another video for us. Thank You.
Loreta Julian thanks for the comment. I will definitely be making more videos. Also, sorry to hear about your antiques.
Loreta Julian I also keep all my propagating cuttings close to groups of plants! Easy way to have a body of water near by to provide humidity
@@entitled_little_cat Hi Maddie. So nice of you to respond to my reply. It is the first time this has ever happened. You are the first!!! Loreta
It might depend on how dry the air is to start out with- I live in a basment and have to run a *de* humidifier to get the humidity to 50 or lower (because of mold issues). Her air much be hella dry to start out with if they need help to get it to 50%
wildhearses they live in Southern California where it’s typically quite desert-like, so it is hella dry!
I thank you from the bottom of my heart and the bottom of my plant parts or maybe I should say from the bottom of their Roots we thank you
"what plants do best where" not proper English... but it still works because English isn't real and therefore has no rules :)
English is a language. American-English....not so much
Shyan Walters you’re not wrong my dude!
@@MsMimi127 Sorry but if you'd ever met a 13 year old boy from East End London you'd know that your statement is entirely false
@RUclipsr91 it is fine English, not proper English. That's fine though cause it still works so no biggie
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this, will now totally continue to watch you talk about plants that I will never be responsible enough to take care of.
Thank you RUclips recommendations! I will now binge on your channel and learn more about plants. I want start buying plants soon and I don't know where to begin. I need all of the luck in the world.
Shout to florida for always being humid as hell. Terrible for my hair awesome for my plants
Erica Elizabeth, Florida weather is where it’s at.
omg that self roast at 9:28?!! that dry dry humour got me hahahaha xxx
You are hilarious! This is the best reaction video 🙌🏼
Aww, thank you!
How I came across your channel, I have no idea. But you’re really funny and I love the editing ❤️❤️❤️
Haha! Thank you!
A POTHOS ! HOW?!, i however am a firm believer in finding a plant that fits in a low light spot, i might try a calathea, saying that a pothos should have been fine there 🤷🏽♂️ HAHA
Calatheas are champs
Maybe a kalanchoe?
this is my first vid of u i've ever watched n i already know....ur vibe sir,,,,, impeccable. love it
YEESS, Loved thisss! You're precious. Btw, you were on my font page in recommended right when I opened youtube today :) congrats beautiful!
NEW SUBSCRIBER FROM JENA!!!! You’re awesome and can’t wait to watch all your videos now.
I don't really watch reaction videos, but this one was cool!! ^_^

I really love your music from the mii. I also enjoy how your voice is so nice, clear and soft so thank you 🙏 👂🌱 ❤️
Awww, thanks Olive
this was in my recommendeds and can i just say I LOVE BUSTER OMG
Buster loves you too!
DouTube, is Buster a Tibetan Spaniel? He’s adorable.
Lmao I love your laid back , chill but professional vibe 😍 new sub here!
Because of Jenna, I'm going to get some plants. Laughed at the corner bit because I'm going to put my plants in one. Don't worry, there are two large windows in the corner. 😊 Love your productive tips!
YES CORNER WINDOWS! Thank you! I appreciate you!
This video has the perfect atmosphere
I do not move my plants!! They hate it!! I’ll do a new specimen in a different location to see how my light treats a species.
A house isn’t a home without plants and I’m frequently amazed how many people are turned off/creeped out or just generally annoyed by plants.
Two kinds of people: the good ones and the bad ones 😂
I was so proud of Jenna but again, I’d expect nothing less of a person who is generally conscientious and compassionate.
Your review was awesome and I hope she sees it 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
EDIT: I subbed because your content and editing are GOOD
Kate, thank you for putting so much thought into your message. I truly appreciate the feedback and stories you have to offer. Thank you for subbing and appreciate the hard work that goes into filming!
