- HW heads down to beautiful Bowral nestled in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Bowral is a short 1 & half hour drive from Sydney. Come for a walk around the various businesses and places transforming into the Regency period of British history. Colourful floral arrangements and decorations all over town. HW visits cafes, antique shops, historical houses, bakeries and sweet shops.

Very nice walk, loved looking at the shops & cafes. Bowral looks a nice place. Bridgerton must have been very popular in Australia, the Press Shop made a big effort & the coffee looked good too.

The antique shed was similar to a scene in Bless this house film, where Sid James wife was renting a stall inside.

I found a copy of Bless this house, the complete series in CEX, fairly priced. HMV are putting classic films and series on Dvd.

The only thing i heard about Bowral that ive heard for years that theyre most famous for is Tulip 🌷 time in September and Early October! Here in Canada 🇨🇦 they have a festival in May for our Tulips 🌷!
You’re right there is a tulip festival each year. For most Australians Bowral is the town our most famous cricket player Don Bradman grew up. A cricket ground and museum sits there in his honour. The other thing it’s known for is holding holiday houses for Sydney’s wealthy.

Two things i didn't expect: a regency period tv series celebrated in rural NSW, and kumquat alcohol. Why do I think the second is more reasonable?
