All bad. Trains (with gate fee per person) are expensive and have long wait time off peak, taxis/ubers are expensive and there is no good road from airport to city at all (I do know, I live 500m from International). Do not come to Sydney, everything is bad here! Train is better if you are alone, at daytime, with light bag only and go to somewhere right near station (especially eastern like StJames, CQ - good finish point to measure will be St Mary Cathedral, hotels on Pitt st or our beloved NSW govt building). Taxi is much better if you are in group, with baggage and want to get a bit off the station, for example to Pyrmont (The Star or Ibis DH). Hello HW, I thought the whole point of an Uber was you book it and it arrives to collect you: not to turn up at the airport and take the first in a queue! We got a taxi when we arrived mainly because after a 30 odd hour trip from the UK (inc 5 hour stop over at Hong Kong) we just wanted to get to our digs in the CBD. Next time it will probably be the train as most hotels are within a short walk from any of the train stations.

@@vinbar35 I normally take Uber to and from Airport when I go OS. It used to work like that. Book and then goto pickup and wait for number plate to appear. Not sure why they changed it. Hi HW, You can catch a taxi from our train station in seconds, as soon as you leave the train station. The buses are another thing, there is a bus driver shortage, but all buses running to the hospitals are more frequent. Regarding UBA, they are not frequently seen where I live. Buses are cheaper, taxis have a standard price. Very interesting video. Thank you for your research on this subject, as visitors to Sydney, will find this information useful.
