I watched the Owens QB high school highlights and looks like he's always thrown the long ball well. This kid has as a arm and size.

@@G--Mann For one Michigan just looks like a complete Football team. Texas defense is non-existent, Michigan has the best defense in the country. You can’t pass all day against Michigan they’re too skilled and well coached, then you have to stop their run game which no one has figured out how to do. Lastly Texas has been losing to Washington the past two years…Michigan has been dog walking them since 21

Only question will be the defense but this performance needs to be taken with a grain of salt since they sat 6 starters on that side of the ball.

Based off last year, Texas Ceiling: 12-0. Floor: 9-3. potential losses: neutral vs OU, vs UGA, @ TAMU. given a lesser SEC schedule, I don’t think any other team will have a drastic improvement to challenge Texas. the only away games they can feel “intimidated” is Ann Arbor and College Station, but they should have no problem with those teams.

@@bool_aid_man510 considering Michigan is now on probation, it's hard to predict which team will be there. Will most of their players stay or not? Hard to say right now. A&M hates UT more than the other way around, so they're going to be amped up to play. If we were talking about a more neutral team like Florida, then I'd agree with you, but it's the Aggies.
I'd also say don't mail in the Arkansas game either. They hate UT as well.

Owens graduated early from Cy-Fair high school where he was a three-year starter. Last December the Touchdown Club of Houston proclaimed him the area's offensive player of the year. He completed 72 percent of his passes for 3,333 yards and 43 touchdowns with three interceptions in his final season.

As a Peyton Manning and Colts fan I came by to see how Arch was doing. Arch looks great. I am unsure about the Texas backfield. Need to see more.

spring game and Ewers only had 2 drives. There were a few times where the defenders stopped going when they got close to Arch (and the other QBs). Not trying to discount Arch's skills or anything else, but I recall a lot of people saying a lot of things about Murphy last year and then when it came to game time (when Ewers got hurt), he played ok, but wasn't to the level of replacing Ewers.

If you watched that and thought the secondary was going full speed you need to rewatch it. And whenever the defensive line has to give up before the get to the qb you don’t get the best idea of how the pass rush will affect the games. Not saying Arch isn’t great but whenever you basically have all day to throw you’re gonna connect on shots downfield

As a fan of Texas I more closely follow the team and from I’ve heard from reports and our coaches is that our secondary has taken a major step. Could it be bad? Yea of course but I want to see what they look like week 1 and then against Michigan before I start calling them bad and wanting answers from the coaches. I watched a Taffe pull up and literally drop to the ground to keep from hitting blue on Arch’s second touchdown.

I am a long time sooner fan who lived in Ann Arbor and I have to say Texas the team who has to worry Michigan is light years better check who left for the draft and who left that team. Also check who was last years champ and who maxed out and still couldn’t cut it. Oklahoma Georgia and Michigan at minimum going to smoke that pack. A&M likely as well. That #15 kid seems to be the only one who faced the defense when they actually tried. The #16 kid gonna be shocked if he ever gets into a game situation when the defense doesn't want to lose. Just how it looks through unbiased eyes.
