    I had both JBL Clip 4 and Sony SRS XB13 in hand. I feel a bit opposite, it's the JBL that makes me feel there is a curtain in front of the speaker. I think it also depends on what type of musics, for human voice, the Sony has richer, fuller and more defined sound in mid-to-high frequency, but the JBL has much solid bass and vibration. I listen more human voice music, so I decided to keep Sony XB 13.

      Bulshit, the xb13 sounds poor and dull(hollow). It only push bass but it's not enough to sound good. The GO3 sound more live and have much more rich sound.

    I'm not a fan to either of these two brands, but man.... Just because you don't like Sony it doesn't mean their products suck, every brand comes with its pros and cons. For example Sony speakers have much more cleaner sound compared to JBL. And JBL have better bass sound than Sony. After your review I watched like 5 more reviews for the same Sony speaker. And everyone says that this speaker is pretty decent.

    I heard them in real life, and also in this video and many others on youtube, personally I prefer the sony sound. Even in this video it sounds better for me. yes at 50% volume the power difference is huge and the sony sounded too weak, but that is just the way it is set up, at 75 and up the volume came much closer and it sounded better than the jbl in my opinion. After hearing many in real life, I went for dual xb13 for stereo sound at 30% discount, got the 2 for about 90 euro. So far I don't regret it. My second choice was the anker soundcore mini and third jbl clip 4

    I don't know about the JBL GO3 speaker. However, I do know, that the JBL clip4 can not be used by someone like myself who is totally blind. There is no way with the clip4 for someone who is blind to have any indication of the battery level the speaker is at, so knowing when to recharge the speaker would be very difficult or impossible. I don't think the Sony XB13 gave any tone when the power button was pressed to indicate whether the speaker was either on or off. This would also make me reluctant to purchase the XB13. The next time someone takes me to a best buy, I'll have to see if someone will let me check out a demo model of the XB13.

      Copyright music prevents me from using most music other than those available through RUclips bad copyright free music. Not a lot to choose from with actual voices that’ll make for a good sound test
      I’ve already had companies claim revenue from older speaker reviews because they owned the rights to the music.

    About a month ago, I bought two XB13 speakers to pair and use specifically with classical music. I have to say, I was very disappointed. I completely agree with you about the "blanket in front of the speaker" sound -- even with classical music. I was especially disappointed because I have used my two SRS-X11 speakers for years and loved them (until they stopped connecting to my Mac). Here's the thing though: The XB13 speakers are very easy to pair to create a stereo sound (as advertised) and they work great from my Mac. Originally, I tried JBL Flip 5, and they didn't work with my Mac at all -- the app was only available for IPhone. So, I'm sort of stuck. (Not sure where to turn next. Will the XP-23 pair for stereo and work on a Mac? Not sure.) Thank you for the review though. I'm glad to hear it wasn't just me who wasn't crazy about the XB13 sound. I really wanted to love the Sony speaker but just didn't. (Oh, and I know neither of these speakers is GREAT for classical, but I use them to select takes from classical music recording sessions, so I need crispness and clarity, but not the world's best sound. Up until now, I've always loved Sony, it's not too bass-y) Thanks again for the great review!

    • @noelinma8838
      @noelinma8838 2 года назад

      @@ramli1111 I *think* it is actual stereo (NOT both speakers playing the same thing). The speakers aren't great otherwise (not a great clean clear sound), so I'm not 100% positive. But, I'm pretty sure it's a real stereo function. What was key for me was that I could control them from my laptop, not just a phone app like most of the other bluetooth speakers that can be paired to stereo.

    • @borisdjurkovic3225
      @borisdjurkovic3225 2 года назад +2

      @@ramli1111 as far as i know, bluetooth is a point-to-point protocol, so how they made it work on two devices with two different signals (as in stereo) at the same time i have no idea. I doubt it is a real stereo...i guess the second speaker pairs to the first-one, so the signal (the actual sound) must be the same as is on the first speaker. Unless the stereo that comes from the computer gets somehow decoded in L+R on the first speaker the moment you pair it with the second.
