Bought mine today! I’m really enjoying it. And I did make it to the end of your video. Haha! Thank you for the helpful video. Reviews on products takes a lot of guess work away from consumers. I'm listening to the Max right now for first time after receiving it yesterday. The black was on sale at a discount, but I love the blue so I had to pay full price for it. My rule is to never pay full price, but on very rare occasions rules have to be broken. It sounds excellent as it should being Bose. It is basically the big brother of the Flex. Bose has created a masterpiece of excellent sound and power. The extended battery life was a necessity for long listening sessions. Bose claims twenty hours of of battery life, but manufacturers claims are at low volume. I am going to test the twenty hour claim at normal volume. Well done Bose because you have knocked it out of the park with the Max.
I love the bose MAX. It is overpriced but it's BOSE. It expected. It's an INCREDIBLE speaker. I been enjoying mine a couple weeks now. I use it without the EQ and love the sound. Very smooth and full. Very nice solid build. Clarity is very nice. No regrets on my purchase. WOULDA been more reasonable for maybe 325$- 350$. But still love it. If can't afford the bose max , my second favorite speaker is the soundcore Boom 2. Very bass heavy for its small size and only 130$ .

Hi Danny, after watching your videos several times, I finally pulled the trigger on the Bose Soundlink Max! I just ordered it through your affiliate link to Bose. Thank you for your videos and for doing all the research I really appreciate it. Aloha and Mahalo from Hawaii
Hey Danny, extremely helpful and descriptive review on the Max. I purchased two micros for the stereo set up (totally okay for their size) and the Revolve II (disappointing in its lackluster performance). I have two Soundlink Mini bricks and they are still reliable. I also have a soundbar for streaming video which I still love, six years later. I finally wore out my Soundlink mobile (the silver rectangle) which was my absolute favorite for its bass and crispness and clarity of the higher range but mostly because, even at max volume, it sounded great and didn't distort. With it, I was the "DJ in Charge" of playing the music at many get-togethers with friends and family. Everybody complimented me on my silver rectangle and they couldn't believe the beauty and largeness of the sound coming from such a small speaker. Since it stopped working, I have missed it tons for the quality of the sound. I tried a Sonos and it was good. I tried a Marshall and it was good, too. But I really miss my silver rectangle. Now that you have reviewed the Max in this video, it looks like I may have found the true replacement I have been looking for from Bose. Thank you for posting such a detailed review about the Max and its functions. The comparisons you demonstrated with other comparable speakers including the ones from other brands was a genius move. Those comparisons are brilliant and were total eye-openers. I have been a Bose loyal customer since forever that I have never really been curious about their competition from other brands. Your demos totally blew me away. I mean, I'm still on board with the Max because of this review and I think it will finally cure my sadness over losing the rectangle, lol. However, I very much enjoyed those side-by-side comparisons, very impressive information you are providing here and entirely convenient. So glad I don't need to go out unnecessarily and spend money on various models to hear these speakers for myself. You got my "Like" and subscription and wow, you are totally worth it. Keep up the great reviews and your informative, exhaustive, and helpful videos. Gonna go get me my Max now! Peace, DP! -cf

You're a legend for what you provided in this video. Honestly speaking, I'm not into much music, but I appreciate high quality. For me, when it comes to sounds, I always thick of Bose. That's because I grew knowing that Bose is best in this sector, so now I'm planning to buy my 1st ever speaker to enjoy listening to music and other staff like podcasts, but still want it to have a microphone built-in so whenever I receive a call I don't have to look for my phone or even hold it. Thanks for this comparison. I do own older boses items: the wave system and also a soundlink 2 speaker. I like them all but I am very much tempted by the power and comparatively small size of the max.
Thanks for the Bose star 😉. The Max sounds impressive but I am very happy with my Flex, which still amazes me just how good it is for such a small speaker. Keep up the great work
Whenever I buy a Bluetooth speaker, I always end up viewing your videos and your conclusion really enlightens me about the product very much. Thanks Danny! 😊
Have been eagerly awaiting this review since the max came out man! Thank you! Definitely interested in the max but waiting for a price drop and for them to be able to stereo pair. I feel like 2x bose max in stereo might be the best mid sized set up you could get. My 2 hyperbooms in stereo still reign supreme, but they are very difficult to travel with
i watched the whole video and it was my first time to watching you. but you do a great job of giving every speaker a chance to play allowing us watchers to be able to determine what kind of speaker we want because we heard ever kind play it so it wont take us 100 otha videos to determine what kind we want. You made it nice and simple by playing them all. now we know the exact one to choose. you should add the price of every one tho that would help alot and keep getting groovy while listening to the music your moves might be a little cheesy but who cars you killed this video
You sold me to a soundlink flex which I absolutely love, and now you are about to sell me a max... Good job Danny , good job. Those brands will soon start sending out to you , dont worry. Love your reviews.
I still have my Bose Smart Speaker 500 since 2018 and once you put it near a wall it sounds amazing. I also use my smart speaker 500 for movies like John Wick and its amazing.
Hello Danny..love your style and honest reviews , dedicated effort to lay bare pros n cons of speakers..after countless you tube reviews (yours including) n several visits at retail outlets , I chose Bose soundlink Max..I am a fan of JBL..i had charge 4, gifted to my son , who is overseas, then bought charge 5 (recently)- camouflage, a beauty n equally good on sound, but again ended up gifting to my nephew(cldnt upset wifey 😅) , was yearning for finally one for myself..I almost ordered camouflage Jbl extreme 4 basis youtubers, but chose to cancel n visit retail stores for that first hand experience. I couldn't find extreme 4 but listened to extreme 3 n it was a let down. I listened to Marshalls too first hand. Acton 3 was great but wired only, stanmore , woburn ,tufton were good , but hefty n not portable.. it was a close call between, Middleton n bose Max.. Middleton matches bose a lot upto 50 %volume in terms of bass plus that cool retro look n those easy knobs , to control bass , treble ..but..at more than 50 % volume, Max blows Middleton in terms of depth in bass while still retaining clarity..What finally, swayed my decision for bose(a first) was everything best /decent at so compact a package..Smaller things get used most ..n max is like omnipotent toy..to entertain you ,be at beach,, party , in a room or a open terrace..its difficult to ignore, if you can pay its premium. The dusky blue blue colour has a killer looks..i have a stationary lg boombox OM 4560 at 220 watts (still crisp n doing great )n bose tries to challenge its hegemony, that is its USP , being second to none..but frankly , Yes LG scores more being big on RMS n girth. At end...keep on doing the good work..we always support you. With Love, from Mohit- India.. apologies for a longish monologue
great review style and made me chuckle, thanks! Checked the video cos BOSE is upgrading me for free from a Sound Link Mini II to the Max as a part required for the repair cannot be sourced at the moment. Look forward to getting this box priced more than double, originally triple, of what the unit in repair cost. Feeling lucky this week 😄
Stayed until the end (like always). You’re the best man! Thank you for helping us to make wise purchases 😊❤ And we really feel your passion for what you do…in each video. It’s really inspiring. Cheers from Switzerland
Nice vidoe, good move to add in some 'unrelated' options (to the title) as a way to help everyone adapt their listening ears to the potential coloring of the audio from RUclips's compression / recording equipment and processing etc. Nice effort!
I love the montage of various speakers during the audio test. I'm still impressed by the Soundcore X600. I have two Motion+ paired in stereo. Love them, sound is amazing, but I wouldn't mind a third speaker to move around more. Will keep my eyes and ears open.
I myself have the Bose Soundlink Flex, and have had it for years now. Regarding Bluetooth speakers, I’ve had a very good experience with Bose. Because I’m watching this video with my Bose Soundlink Flex, I’m getting a pretty accurate audio representation of what you’re hearing. I won’t own their soundbars though. As Bose’s Atmos soundbars don’t have HDMI in. As a result, they’re not going to be able to run DTS audio via eARC. As that requires your TV to be able to process DTS for passthrough. As I have a Panasonic DP-UB420 that I output the HDMI audio only to my Sony G700 and get up to DTS X and Atmos audio downmixed to stereo. I have a second HDMI connected to my C2 OLED with a video only signal. As my soundbar does all the audio processing. No passthrough needed. I plan to upgrade to VIZIO’s 5.1.4 Elevate.
Hey Danny hope all is well? This is the first time seeing one of your reviews because I was interested in purchasing the Bose Sound link Max and your video pushed me over the edge, and I just purchased it because of your review. I actually have the Bose sound Link 2 version and love it but the Max seems to have way better bass and much louder plus I got it from Best Buy brand new for only $299 saving $100 dollars. Your video was awesome, and you explained everything in detail making all that you said very easy to understand. I am a fan and will follow you because I am always purchasing the newest series or models that come out. For example, besides buying this speaker I also bought tonight the new Apple Airpods Pro 2 and 1 month ago the new Apple watch 10 series 46mm case with cellular and last week a new Lenovo Laptop so watching your videos will be very advantageous for helping me a lot. Like I stated I like how you go into detail and how you make it easy to understand the item you're reviewing. Thank you, Danny, for sharing I look forward to seeing what you come out with.
I’ve been a good boy this year. That’s easy at 66. I would love to hear it at a distance. The only kinda music I play is LOUD ! I have good hearing, and I crank it up. Screw the neighbors . But I think they like my music when i’m in the yard ,or garden. They still wave. I think I see 4 finger and a thumb. They might be waving with one. lol You have convinced me that one Bose Max will be under my Christmas tree. And I will act surprised to everyone when I say, “who got me this “ ? At Christmas I never get a bad present. I gift myself ,it’s in my budget. lol. Bose makes some awesome stuff. But why are they so proud of it? Great video guy. I Liked and Subscribe. Hoping someone will slice one in half one day so we can see the chamber secrets
I listened to the Bose Max yesterday in the shop and compared with others, this one really sounded the best to my ears. I am also playing a lot of classical piano and classical guitar and prefer to have a bluetooth speaker that will be used with that kind of music. Only I was a bit shocked about the price because then you have other speakers to compare which I didn't do yet, at least in that price range of the MAX.
Great review! You’re funny! Bose has released a firmware update so you can now pair two Max’s in stereo. I have 2 flex’s already and given the price of 2 Max’s I might wait until they’re on sale.
Good review, I like the way you compared the other Bluetooth speakers. I recently bought the sound core x600 and really enjoy the sound. However, the x600 does not perform well at Max levels. That being said, I'll always go for the best value, so thank you for easing my mind that I made the right choice.
I feel bond. James bond. ❤️ I am pleased with my 2 Bose Flex in stereo mode. Breathtaking. The stereo setup is actually easy and fast even though I use the buttons. I never use the app, i dont want it and ive heard its bad. Thank you for guiding me to buing 2 Flex! Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪🌈
Nice review with lots of variation. I had the Bose Soundlink Max for a couple of weeks and compared it to the HK Onyx 6, Tribit Stormbox Blast and the new Soundcore Boom 2 Plus. All of them are great speakers, but all cheaper than the Max as well. Needless to say the Bose went back as it couldn’t outperform the Onyx 6 in bass extension. The Bose distorts the bass at higher volume. I also find it odd that Bose gives no power figures. Any guesstimates? How do you feel it compares to the Tribit? I actually bought the Tribit based on your review and others recommendations. Anyway, keep up the good work!
🤔 I’ll have to give that song a listen. I have been testing on a variety of music from pop, jazz, r&b, lofi, classical and hip hop. I have noticed a trend in Bluetooth speaker that the genre of music really can make or break its performance. I thought the Tribit was hands down unbeatable, but listening to the Boom 2 Plus today for extended periods really is solidifying it as a contender listening to the same tracks.
if this thing didnt have an aux port i would never consider it, but its inclusion makes this really seem like THE perfect portable everything speaker. and it really seems like the best sound at that size
I suggest that next time you could sound test the Bose Soundlink Flex pair lying flat. The Bose Soundlink Flex has PositionIQ that adjusts the EQ based on its orientation be it horizontal, vertical or lying flat. I prefer best when I play both of mine on stereo lying flat - it makes the base sound and feel much louder.
I just got it 2 days ago. I have 2 flex and when I compare them in stereo mode vs Max I would say that they are loud same, but Max sounds more clear and wide open than 2 flex, so for me 1 Max is better option than 2 Flex, especially if it's used for home mostly.
Danny. Can I get away with just the "Flex" for right now? Just running it off my phone for now? Will it do the trick? I have other Bose Products and they are all "top of the line"! Just don't have an extra $500 to spend! I think one (1) Flex will do for now? Thank-you for your time. Good review. The Bose really is the "top of the line"! Just can't always buy the "Caddy"! Peace out Brother!
The flex is fine! The size dictates a lot more of the sound than the brand. Some will say max is the smoothest, but you still are getting a hell of speaker with the flex.
@@hansroemer8782 Danny! Not sure you got my other question? Because of hearing issues, I tend to look for sound that I can manually adjust? Does Bose have that anymore? In the truck I can still do everything to adjust the output!
Totally worth it compared to the others. I heard real low end puch from the recording of the SoundLink Max, non of them gave me that same feeling I had when listening to SoundLink Max. Although, I still think a SoundLink Flex or two is just enough if you don't have the money for the Max or if you're just looking for maximum portability...
You did a really good job. I am looking for a loud portable speaker to wear around my waist when I ride my bike. I will Velcro it to a belt! The Middleton sounded really good too!
Thanks for the review Danny! I just ordered my bose max and while I am excited/eager to test out the speaker. I just can't get over the current price of $399.99 + tax. I'll probably enjoy the speaker but probably not enjoy as much if I see it go on sale :/ either way GREAT video!
@carlosalonso3177 that makes perfect sense and it was also painful for me at that price! But sometimes I just start smiling because of how well it produces some music.
I have two soundlink flexes and just bought the Max and I would say the two flexes and they are nowhere near the sound of the max. I’ve always been a fan of the flex and still love them, but the sound is not comparable to the max. Having separate tweeters in the max really opens it up. I can’t wait to be able to pair them.
Have an original BOSE SoundLink Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker 404600 and I think that the new SoundLink Max will be my next one. Thanks for the video.
Soundcore x600 in that comparison definitely had the louder soundstage, and clarity was certainly clearer than all the others. Is it possible to post watts for all speakers that you compared in this video? Your honesty and well created videos helped me to decide on the soundcore 300. I really liked the sound of x600 cost is double the price of soundcore 300. Do they sync together if you have both? In my opinion your comparison videos are the best, especially that one with your Dad. Keep up the good work..
The strange thing is, that when using the AUX input you have latency of about 150-250 ms. I didn't expected that, because my old Soundlink 2 does signal transport perfectly in time!
I love Bose Flex, Have 2... Sounds Great Alone or When Paired Together... I will get Max eventually... Because sounds even greater in reasonably portable size... However, cannot see carrying Max around when true Portability & Compactness Is Necessary... I think Prices will come down in next month for Thanksgiving & Black Friday... I Could Be Wrong, But I Don't Think Max Has Speaker Phone Which It Should... Flex Does Which Is four times less expensive...

You made it nice and simple by playing them all. now we know the exact one to choose. you should add the price of every one tho that would help alot and keep getting groovy while listening to the music your moves might be a little cheesy but who cars you killed this video
@krispy_woodwrldgg6890 🌟 thanks for watching and your feedback! I'd put a price but they constantly change them!
Bose sounds great with nice depth and wide soundstage 😊
You sold me to a soundlink flex which I absolutely love, and now you are about to sell me a max... Good job Danny , good job. Those brands will soon start sending out to you , dont worry. Love your reviews.
I have my bose soundlink 2 .
Also today a great and good sounding speaker with a nice style .
Greetings from Berlin Germany
Liked the way you compared the speakers taking pain to edit .Great work, thank you
I still have my Bose Smart Speaker 500 since 2018 and once you put it near a wall it sounds amazing. I also use my smart speaker 500 for movies like John Wick and its amazing.
I mean this as nicely as possible, but if you think that is amazing.... You really need to try a proper set up.
Thank you for your time, effort, investment. I enjoyed your presentation. Good stuff to consider!
Middleton matches bose a lot upto 50 %volume in terms of bass plus that cool retro look n those easy knobs , to control bass , treble ..but..at more than 50 % volume, Max blows Middleton in terms of depth in bass while still retaining clarity..What finally, swayed my decision for bose(a first) was everything best /decent at so compact a package..Smaller things get used most
..n max is like omnipotent toy..to entertain you ,be at beach,, party , in a room or a open terrace..its difficult to ignore, if you can pay its premium.
My favorite channel to view before purchasing a speaker! Great content 👍🏽.
Thanks for the review! Really enjoyed that you compared it to other makes and models
You made me buy Max, it was a good review (fr. S.Korea)
Danny, Andre here, so I love your channel, keep it up.
great review style and made me chuckle, thanks! Checked the video cos BOSE is upgrading me for free from a Sound Link Mini II to the Max as a part required for the repair cannot be sourced at the moment. Look forward to getting this box priced more than double, originally triple, of what the unit in repair cost. Feeling lucky this week 😄
@@AverageRecords wooooow they are hooking you up! Thanks for being here 🌟
Stayed until the end (like always). You’re the best man! Thank you for helping us to make wise purchases 😊❤
And we really feel your passion for what you do…in each video. It’s really inspiring. Cheers from Switzerland
Great review 👍The explanation on the comparison with other speakers is really helpful for making a choice.
Thanks.

Yep I watched the whole video and subscribed. Great job. Mine just got delivered today and I love it!
Btw… I also own the Middleton and the Motion 600. The Bose is much cleaner to my ears.
🌟 nice thanks for watching this. And that is quite the collection.
Nice vidoe, good move to add in some 'unrelated' options (to the title) as a way to help everyone adapt their listening ears to the potential coloring of the audio from RUclips's compression / recording equipment and processing etc. Nice effort!
I have been waiting for this Bose review. Nice man!👍
Thanks for stopping by @nikinsk
I love the montage of various speakers during the audio test. I'm still impressed by the Soundcore X600. I have two Motion+ paired in stereo. Love them, sound is amazing, but I wouldn't mind a third speaker to move around more. Will keep my eyes and ears open.
7:32 - *I did stayed till the end and I absolutely loved your videos. I always watch your video before buying any speakers* 🔊❤
I made it to the end of your video. I heart you and I miss your dad. (I watched him on 2 previous videos)
Thank you, Danny, for sharing I look forward to seeing what you come out with.
thank you for being here and sharing with me! I really appreciate your feedback and bose journey :)
Wow you did great job man really helpful comparing
I'm glad to have discovered you!
Fantastic review, super helpful!
dude you are a great presenter. love the comedic style and videography. Really inspiring work and nice comparisons. I think I will get another Flex.
😢 aw thanks man. That's the nicest thing I've heard on the channel in a while! Thank you.
They might be waving with one. lol
You have convinced me that one Bose Max will be under my Christmas tree.
Stayed till the end great video thanks and keep it going!!! How did you edit for the songs to match so well???
🌟 for you! I just sync it all in post and have my little flow. Hurts my hands to cut it haha
Stayed thill the end! Nice attitude, keep up the good work!
Great comparisons! I wish Bose would enable multi-speaker pairing. Max + two Flex’es as stereo channels would be such a killer combo.
That would tear space time and be too good. We aren't allowed.
I literally had a dream about that. Lol. My Goodness! Stop it. 😳😂
Thanks for the reviews, very helpful
Great review! You’re funny! Bose has released a firmware update so you can now pair two Max’s in stereo. I have 2 flex’s already and given the price of 2 Max’s I might wait until they’re on sale.
_I agree with you. Two soundlink flex are better than one soundlink max. I enjoy the stereo sound of it_
Good review, I like the way you compared the other Bluetooth speakers. I recently bought the sound core x600 and really enjoy the sound. However, the x600 does not perform well at Max levels. That being said, I'll always go for the best value, so thank you for easing my mind that I made the right choice.
It's all about the bass. Bose has that mastered! ❤ 💯
I have few Bose speakers 19 to be exact lol
couple are flax and I’m interested in this new speaker thank you so much I have made it until the end. 😉
Is most RUclips music in stereo and does the link stay up for you? Mine kept crashing.
I think I prefer the bose over the tribit blast... I've heard "poison tree" that sounded terrible on the tribit but good on the bose.
I’m a guitarist and Marshall tube amplifiers are the OG. Totally different animals though.
I just got it 2 days ago. I have 2 flex and when I compare them in stereo mode vs Max I would say that they are loud same, but Max sounds more clear and wide open than 2 flex, so for me 1 Max is better option than 2 Flex, especially if it's used for home mostly.
Definitely felt the bond. I'll happily take my Bose star, thx. LOL
I was thinking about getting the Bose. If I decide to, I will wait until it goes on sale. I have a Motion a x600 and I love it!
Good choice! I also love the x600
I got 1 open box for 217 from Best Buy man this thing sound is amazing
Totally worth it compared to the others. I heard real low end puch from the recording of the SoundLink Max, non of them gave me that same feeling I had when listening to SoundLink Max. Although, I still think a SoundLink Flex or two is just enough if you don't have the money for the Max or if you're just looking for maximum portability...
You did a really good job. I am looking for a loud portable speaker to wear around my waist when I ride my bike. I will Velcro it to a belt! The Middleton sounded really good too!
The Bose sound signature is awesome❤.
Thanks for the video.
really good straight to the point review. thanks!
Soundcore x600 in that comparison definitely had the louder soundstage, and clarity was certainly clearer than all the others.
Is it possible to post watts for all speakers that you compared in this video?
Your honesty and well created videos helped me to decide on the
soundcore 300.
I really liked the sound of x600 cost is double the price of soundcore 300.
Do they sync together if you have both?
In my opinion your comparison videos are the best, especially that one with your Dad.
Keep up the good work..
Good review. Thank you, Danny
Great review! You've very thorough. I've been considering this speaker even though I already have the the flex, micro and revolve.
@@KentAdkins-r5q thanks! Now I've planted the seed for the max I'm sorry.
Thank you for this review !!🎉
I stayed to the end of the video and I think you should do more videos like this!
🌟 thank you! I've got more speaker things coming up
The strange thing is, that when using the AUX input you have latency of about 150-250 ms.
