TeamFourStar 1 goku, who the fuck is two gohan is stronger than vegeta and trunks 3 trunks 4 vegeta not hating on vegeta by far my favorite character but they made it clear trunks had surpassed him and goku and gohan cleary stronger
i like orchestral remixs and all but. i have watched this 7 times by now. and never noticed that during cells monolog the cell's theme is playing. I ALSO made an amv with the theme. so im very familiar with it......kaiser just use the regular version.

Can we all appreciate the consistency when they colored one of the tiles that were flying around green before cell was done
I noticed this immediately.
When this episode first came out I had to rewind a couple times because I swore I had seen a green tile. But i didn't keep watching to see that Cell makes a big deal of it.

@@TheTGOAC it's pretty well-established within DBZA canon that he gets off on animosity - go figure. He has his love/hate/mostly hate relationship with Goku, he hooked up with Bulma more or less because she's not intimidated by him at all and he loves that, and Chi-Chi isn't either so he actually shuts up when challenged. For all his ego, people puncturing that is very much a Thing for him.

I mean, there were probably gaps in the first place (Gero says "He's not properly programmed!"), then the updates that would fill in some were left out because of 18's impatience, which is probably why there are a ton of corrupted files, and then Semi-P Cell blasting him back definitely corrupted some more.

+Spencer McClue I think most of us are in awe of that genius which is why we go crazy waiting for episodes. They didn't do a one-shot parody but instead did one with strong continuity & preplanning. Many lines of dialogue are seeds they plant for future episode scenarios. Each episode builds on the last & you hear all the echoes from the earlier episodes. They planned Nappa being in the Cell Saga 8 years ago & that's why we love watching this! We want to see how they link all of this up. Trust me, many of us have noticed. We're just silenced in awe.

I love how Trunks and Vegeta start bonding over getting their asses kicked and being annoyed by Krillin and 16's bromance.
I just realized that Cell gets his telekinesis powers from Freeza since he has Freeza's DNA
Tfs never showed it, but when goku was personally training against the androids ( I think) he was able to do what cell did, but created pyramids instead of cubes
It seems like a lot of people in DBZ have telekinesis, but only use it rarely and for random things. On Namek, Goku created a hole in the ground just by looking at it when buried Vegeta and Captain Ginyu levitated the dragon balls, but we never see these abilities used again.

David Fellner I just assumed that specific example for Goku on Namek was Eye Lasers. But yeah so many abilities get shown once or twice and then never used again. Like Goku reading Krillin’s mind or Trunks’ heart.

I just realized you can actually see the one green square flying through the air while Cell is building the arena for the first time. Even a small edit like that takes a lot of time to make, but TFS still did it knowing full well that almost no one would even notice. The amount of love you guys put into this series is incredible.
Nah I thing in the original show it was an animation error and TFS caught it and made a joke out of it which in my opinion is even greater

However, nothing was looming ober him-so he chose to focus on his studies because that was his future at the time.

So, the "Why did you take off your shirt?" is my favorite joke in the episode, because of what it represents. It is basically just the infamous "Where did the Scouter come from?" joke from episode 3, just done a hundred times better.

@pbirbal4757 Both are calling attention to a weird thing where something random has happened with the editing (the scouter randomly appearing on Bulma/Vegeta suddenly being shirtless).
The difference is in the execution. The first is a dumb 4th-wall break with text going across the screen. The second is much more clever, with Krillin in-universe calling out the randomness of it.
This reminds me: I was watching the original DB series and there's a weird sequence when the gang is at Fire Mountain and Bulma is wearing the bunny costume. Her leggings disappear in several of the shots.
