Seems like a fun project. I've tried several times to hook a refrigerant compressor up to a free to me shop compressor for about a decade now. Done it with different compressor, different electronics, different pressure cutoff styles. It almost always amounts to that one way valve interacting with the control unit incorrectly. Sort of disheartening in a way. Well I got a deal on a cheap Harbor Freight unit. Can you believe they eliminated the feedback entirely and just have that line crimped and bleeding slowly? I'm appalled at how simple and elegant that solution is. If only I had that idea ten years ago! Comparing that brute force unit to the "silent" compressor is interesting. The silent one pulls almost half the power, but is only a half minute shorter filling up from empty. I'm happy with it.
in what way is the compressor too small? is it psi or volume. Did you consider linking 2 tanks together to double volume. how many amps will those 4 motors draw ?
Hi Rob, I found that with 2 motors, there was not enough volume to use a spray gun for any length of time so now I have doubled the output. Part 2 is out next Saturday.
3 is longer than 8. no drama! Cap: 20 uF is 20 Microfarads. 450v.

It's 20 microfarads with a plus or minus tolerance of 5% and a max operating voltage of 450V AC.
Great channel and great project, I've got the same compressor, looking forward to seing how it performs when Its done.
Thanks 👍
