Having dived in Mgarr Ix Xini on a few occasions over the last few weeks , it looks less like a Marine protected area and more like a dirty littered area:-( I was saddened to see broken wine bottles , plastic bags and even an entire sun umbrella gracing the sandy bottom of this beautiful inlet . Last summer I witnessed a sea horse out in the open sandy patch , adjacent to a very long chained anchor that was sweeping the bottom of the bay tearing up the very plant I've that the seahorse needs to live in . It is a beautiful area no doubt , it would be wonderful to dive it from Ta Cenc. But at 56 years of age I don't fancy climbing a wall in full dive kit as the public right of way is blocked by a close gate and all this summer I couldn't dive the bay as a movie company had taken it over :-( ,, the video is beautiful , very well made but totally idealistic and not the real representation of what is happening in that wonderful place .
Beautiful to say the least....it is more like something from a far away exotic land then my own country. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to admire such a gem.
Yes a great video but alas after the ravages of the summer with boats anchoring in this beautiful area it is a shadow of the glory as seen on this video. On one occasion I counted over 100 (yes 100) vessels anchored in this little inlet

Lovely film now can we please stop boats including Barborossa and dive boats such as Dolphin Charters from Anchoring in the "Marine Protected Area" and destroying the Poseidon Grass and sea horses with their anchor chains, and all the recreational boats from leaving the contents of their heads all over the bottom at weekends. Mooring buoys at least would be good and enforcing use of holding tanks on boats. Please don't let these inconsiderate people and their boats destroy this beautiful place.
People with boots in the weekend wreck the place, by dragging there anchors across the bottom and throw plastic bags, bottles and toilet paper in the water.
Dokumentarju mill-isbah, produzzjoni eccellenti minn kull aspett. Prosit!!

Muscat must be a a traitor. Seems he cares more about global posturing rather than preserving the Archipelago.
What a spectacle, thank you to all those that made this video and a special congratulations to the narrator.
Never watched anything like it. Very much liked.

Unknown to the locals! ??
lets hope brad pitt and angelina don't wreck it! ...
"Less well-known" was the phrase, and yes, lets hope that they will treat such a fragile place with respect it deserves.
