Excellent film! As someone from Scotland who loves Malta and has visited it 18 times, it's wonderful to see Filfla up close and personal for the first time. I'll look at it with different eyes when I visit again in January 2018. Thank you.
I took part in a dive around this island many many years ago with a group from Dive system's in tigne . Absolutely amazing the amount of artillery shells around there . And surprisingly one side was full of sea urchins.
Filfa was not mistakingly bombed during the war it was relentlessly used for target practice by British and Us planes and warships for some thirty years well after the war
Awesome documentary, but it's sad that there wasn't some minutes about sharks. I know Malta Airport wouldn't like to talk about these, but Filfla is the go to spot for sharks in this area, highly interesting island.
Hi Ksenya - the documentary is in fact in HD - all you need to do is click on your youtube video settings and make sure you're seeing in full quality. This button is in the settings in the bottom right hand corner :) enjoy
Thanks, MaltaAirport. I know how to change quality, but RUclips only offers 360p for me. I guess it has something to do with my Flash version or the video loading with HTML5 player.. but as you confirmed it's actually in HD, I will figure it out.
Amazing documentary. But he did not said that it was bombed by the british army as use it as a target for training. he said that was bombed from many empires. Ridiculous
Nice diversity of fish, good overall filming (but pity there was repetition and quite a lot of distortion in places), hated the soundtrack, its just so typical of a home made Maltese diving video... it also overpowers the film .. which is a shame
Fantastic footage but I find the narrator and script weirdly written to the point I find myself getting frustrated. It is like the author assumes complete naivety or maybe the target audience is 9-14 year olds. Watching a documentary on filfla I do not expect to have things like what a school of fish are or lots of other silly things explained. Nice job anyway, im sure the kids will love it.
Be proud of our jewel in the centre of the mediterranean
Absolutely stunning. Beautiful photography and a real jewel. Bucket list diving beyond a doubt.
This is a true Treasure that we need to protect at all costs.
Excellent production worth watching.
Absolutely stunning, such a professional and well shot documentary. Definitely a thumbs up to the video and a subscribe.

The teacher would probably not put it in full-screen, leave it on 144p, keep the cursor on the taskbar and not close up any annotations or ads.

Only been to the 3 main islands, never heard of this place until a friend mentioned she dived here, and there are big sharks there
yes, they dont like to admit the sharks, isnt that good for tourism :D

Please upload HD quality. Watching in 360p is a disgrace for that beautiful documentary!

One of the worlds' most massive sharks was caught around Filfla early 1987. Alfred Cutajar.
he was my neighbour, we used to buy fresh fish from his mother (RIP) more than 50 years ago.
@@carbugnov1952 Cheers. Got two postcards on this beast. Wonder what it ate in its years. Glasgow.
Mum's from Valletta : )
Filfla is the breeding area for sharks in the southern Mediterranean sea. I could watch dozens documentaries about this place.
What is that Farfara island?
Where did the remains of the Chapel go? Did it fall into the ocean or something?
it was destroyed in an earthquake in 1856
Filfla means "Peeper" and Comino is "Cumin" two amazing islands
you mean "Pepper"
What permission would be needed to dive in that area if there any?
That chapel was destroyed by bombing not earthquake according to the old people .
i counted more than 20 different creatures in this documentary. I am sure there are much more.
Amazing documentary. But he did not said that it was bombed by the british army as use it as a target for training. he said that was bombed from many empires. Ridiculous
There are in fact some unexploded bombs of Italian and German aviation on the southern side of the island although majority of the bombs are British.
So glad no trash on shores
Nearly destroyed by the British forces in the 60,s :(

Beautiful video... but Mediterranean is not at the center of the world!!
its the only enclosed sea surrounded by three continents, europe, africa and asia. so yes it is geographically the centre of the world.
