In the UK, you have to have a degree specifically in Social Work to be a qualified social worker. For example a; BA Hons in Social Work (full time, 3 years)

I have a question regarding becoming a social worker. I am a criminology student and I am unsure whether I can become one via this degree?
    Thank you

lkangel Yes, you can with any bachelors. You would have to apply to the MSW program and go through the admission process. Not having a bachelors social work just extends your time in the Masters Program. If you had a BSW and you're admitted to the MSW Program, you would come in as an advanced student and only have to do 30 hrs instead of 60hrs.
