    Notes & Corrections ✅
    * 03:45 The correct pronunciation of the English word “ignore” should be “ig’nore,” not “ingnore.” It wasn’t a proper comparison with Korean ㄱ받침 + ㄴ consonant assimilation, so please disregard this word!
    * 22:40 Actually, the fully standard pronunciation of the combination ㄴ받침 + ㄱ consonant is literally "ㄴ + ㄱ." (For example, 한국 and 전국's standard pronunciations are 한국 and 전국, not 항국 and 정국.) However, when many native speakers pronounce this combination, the ㄴ받침 often softens, resulting in an "ㅇ받침 + ㄱ" sound. This should be understood as a common way native speakers pronounce it, rather than a standard consonant assimilation phenomenon.
    * The same applies to these combinations 33:32 ㄴ받침+ㅁ, 35:54 ㄴ받침+ㅂ, 38:38 ㄴ받침+ㅎ, 58:16 ㄹ받침+ㅎ, 01:02:05 ㅁ받침+ㅎ : they are more of a common/comfortable native pronunciation, rather than standard consonant assimilation phenomena. Their standard pronunciation should be literal pronunciation, pronouncing them as they're written.
Even though the aforementioned combinations are not the standard pronunciation, many native speakers pronounce them as shown in this video, unless their jobs require them to pronounce everything accurately. Therefore, knowing this can help you get used to the most common, real-life pronunciations better.

Oh my god the effort you put in your classes is amazing and impossible not to show appreciation. I didn’t even think I would continue when I first decided to study Korean but I am glad that I found your channel from the first beginning. Otherwise I would have quit. They always say that Korean and Turkish are grammatically similar so I wanted to give it a go. However the alphabet seemed really difficult to me at the beginning. Thanks to you I didn't stop and now I have just started to associate some phonetic rules with ours. For instance consonant assimilation is something we have in our language as well. I don’t need any explanation for that since as a Turkish native speaker it is almost impossible for me to put it in a logical way but I know the reason and I believe in Korean it is more or less the same. So I feel connected. Keep up the good work. (If you still continue doing this job :)

너무 감사합니다 선생님 Even though I have completed all of my lessons, (2 levels of beginner terms and 3 levels of intermediate terms about 2 years ago from now), I'm struggling with all the pronunciation rules (and other Korean language related stuffs as well and I'm still not ready to move on to pre-advance lessons) as my school didn't give such a detailed examples lesson or not much examples were provided as each lesson was very rush and I'm so glad to have come across your video explanations / lessons. This is really extremely helpful & useful! 진짜 진짜 너무 감사합니다 고생했어요 선생님! Really feeling grateful to you and appreciate all of your time and effort! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😄😁🤓
