I'm genuinely astonished how she put in the thoughts and efforts to allign Korean to English by every aspect in detail, which is seemingly impossible to some extent considering the fundamental differences between the two languages. On top of the fact she knows the two languages extremly, the presenting skill is of the next level. After checking out some Korean tourtorials by different teachers, all so amazingly well put!! Korean ppl know their language!! However, if I were only to name one, this is it. THE BEST goes to you Miss Vicky.
It helps me sooo much that the basic word order for Korean is the EXACT same as in Japanese! I started learning Japanese first and the word order came so easily, and after this video I feel so much better that Korean's grammar is very similar to Japanese
My first language is Korean, but for the past 2 years I have been studying English. Although, this video helped me so much because my grammar in both English and Korean need lots of work. I recommend this channel as an easy but helpful way to learn Korean! Thank you Miss Vicky! ^^
Dear Miss Vicky I can’t get over how well you explain these basics of Korean word and sentence structure. I have heard a few explanations in my day, and some of them are done quite well, but you have presented these in the most logical order I could imagine, and each lesson just flowed one into the other. As you said, ‘now is the perfect time to talk about particles’; and it was! You also do not teach as if we know nothing about English grammar; which I appreciate. We are so fortunate to have you as a resource.

I started studying korean a long time ago, before there were many resources available. As a result I kind of neglected it and most of what I understand now I picked up somewhere intuitively without always knowing why things worked. I've tried numerous times to go back and study from the beginning but couldn't find anything engaging or helpful. But the videos that you make are the best I've seen, they are so extremely helpful and well explained. Most people seem to shy away from using so many grammatical terms but it's exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for making these videos, I am slowly working my way through them all now and I finally feel optimistic that maybe I haven't wasted the last 15 years of exposure to the language and actually can become fluent after all lol

as someone who studies japanese it's fascinating to see the similarities in grammar structure for japanese and korean which will hopefully make me understand korean too. but personally i find japanese way easier to learn
I've been studying korean grammar using Duolingo and i eventually got used to the construction of sentences but it's still different when you start with the basics and have a strong foundation. I highly recommend this tutorial.

I took a break recently from everyday Korean studies for about... 2 weeks? When I started again, I had no idea just how much I had forgotten. Grammar always messes with me because sometimes it changes and obviously I make that mistake (LOL). Thank you for this lesson, I'll be sure to watch your other ones too! :) UPDATE: After watching the video, I have filled out 8 entire notebook pages and I'm so grateful for this... I haven't understood well until this. I feel that I have a new understanding of Korean itself and a great hold onto the grammar. Thanks so much!
end for today's class, had fun learning this. I finished the other vids dedicated for each of these 7 basics from you vid so I understood pretty much of it, thank you Miss :P
For the first time, i finally feel like i found and actuall educational resource and not a resource that just drops some usefull phrase. Thanks A LOT ❤ it's not easy to teach this effectively. 🌾
I think korean grammar is easier to understand for people that don't have English as their first language, my first language is french and we do have a Base form too for the verbs, that changes according to the tenses and the person, also the grammar SOV is basically the same as the French sign language! :) And we do have a formal and informal speech too although it's less "strict" than in Korean
hmm i am a native german speaker and studied french in school. I agree with the tenses but most stuff is still complicated imo, since german and french are still latin based.
German is not latin based😮 like at all not even the same linguistic branch . Latin languages are French Spanish Italian Portuguese and Romanian I think and I speak the first four just fine because it was easy to pick the others if you know one since most words have same or similar root/spelling except for endings. I can't speak German at all pronunciation tongue placement are very different .
I started playing around with Korean on Duolingo, and the app doesn't tell you this. Just knowing these basic rules makes it so much easier. Thank you!
Haha yes 아 or 야 is put after a first name when calling someone. I hope this video helps you understand how Korean names work! Here you go : ruclips.net/video/SbBtQjiv4vM/видео.html
For me I jump around without meaning to. Whenever I hear something I don't know/haven't heard of yet I want to go learn it! You've helped me learn batchim and the alphabet and here you're helping me again! You're really an amazing teacher! I can't stop watching your videos they're so helpful for me. I'm not sure when I started learning Korean. But I know it hasn't been an entire year but close to! I can now read/write hangul, I can speak it somewhat fine, I know a good amount of words/phrase. Maybe even enough to get me by! Thank you so much!!
I searched everywhere how to learn korean grammer, I was not getting anything but, as i started watching your videos, I started speaking korean very well and now i can speak whole korean ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ............
I don't know how to express how much grateful I am. Thank you for this. You explained in a simple way (it's looks so easy now) that I don't feel stuck anymore.
tip for learning other languages: know the grammar of your language first i.e. the English grammar if it’s your first language. it gets so much easier to understand grammar structures of other languages if you already know some of these definitions + easier to compare and remember the grammar rules😸
I was just looking for a video to help me fall asleep but ended up learning korean basic grammar lol. this is super self explanatory and I now have a willing to learn korean
OMG!! This was the piece that I've been missing while learning Korean! This video cleared up so many things that I was confused about specifically particles, endings, adverbs and conjunctions. It is really going to help me understand and follow along with what I'm using to learn Korean. Thank you so much Miss Vicky! 💜
Thank you ms. Vicky...i like your teaching style. I am currently in kiip level 2 but it's a brain breaking for me. But it's not the case in KIIP..so, i thank you for your efforts. God bless you Ms. Vicky.

Grammar and vocab are my weakest spots when it comes to learning Korean but this video has helped a lot more than my one year of Korean language class. The class did help jump start my Korean language journey but this clarified some things that confused and got me excited for learning Korean again hopefully in a more effective way. 감사합니다!

You are the best Korean Teacher.... my Korean is really improving..... 감사합니다!
At this point I don’t even know English anymore because I don’t even know basic English structure even though IVE ONLY SPOKE ENGLISH MY WHOLE LIFE
same i thought the to be thing only applies in spanish
This is so very helpful. I take an online class but they don't go in depth with these explanations and this really helps me understand the "why".
miss vicky! your explanation is always easy to understand and organized. do you consider opening 1:1 class?
Wow this is absolutely fantastic! It’s exactly what I wanted to know - an overall summary of Korean grammar. Thank you!
You're very welcome and I’m glad it was helpful! 😊
23:43 but then when we fusion hajiman with work it's not "polite" anymore because there is no 요 at the end ? IDK I'm lost 😭😭
The second part of the sentence has the 요 which still makes it polite.
Its only at the end of a sentence
i've been actively learning korean for a couple of months but nothing has helped me as much as this study guide! 선생님 감사합니다!
11:14 would you please make a video about this in the future?😅🖤
For the first time, i finally feel like i found and actuall educational resource and not a resource that just drops some usefull phrase.
Thanks A LOT ❤ it's not easy to teach this effectively. 🌾
i wish my physics teacher use the same methods
YAY!!!! THANK YOUU!!
Probably one of the best descriptions of adverbial phrases I've seen. 감사합니다
Actually, tenses aren't that important in Korean language compared to euroepean languages.
hmm i am a native german speaker and studied french in school.
French grammar is hard a little bit
Korean is structurally really similar to Turkish which makes it easier for me! Thank you for your videos! I'm learning A LOT, love you :)
My dyslexic brain is fried, I find degree level accounting easier. Still going to push through
I started playing around with Korean on Duolingo, and the app doesn't tell you this. Just knowing these basic rules makes it so much easier. Thank you!
I was seriously into the lesson until you said "Bangtan Sonyeondan". Anyway this video super helpful. Thank you very much. 😊💜✨
A million thanks to you Teacher. You are the best.
Your explanation is smooth like butter. Super easy to understand.
Teacher, I have a question... my Korean friends always call me like that: 혜원아 what is this 아 for? Idk why but it sounds so cute for me hahaha 💖

I have searched and watched many youtube videos and THIS IS THE BEST.Thank you very much for taking the time to explain in details.
Thanks for this video. I have been studying for a few months now, but this review of the basics really helps.
tip for learning other languages: know the grammar of your language first i.e. the English grammar if it’s your first language. it gets so much easier to understand grammar structures of other languages if you already know some of these definitions + easier to compare and remember the grammar rules😸
thank yew
I was just looking for a video to help me fall asleep but ended up learning korean basic grammar lol. this is super self explanatory and I now have a willing to learn korean
OMG!! This was the piece that I've been missing while learning Korean! This video cleared up so many things that I was confused about specifically particles, endings, adverbs and conjunctions. It is really going to help me understand and follow along with what I'm using to learn Korean. Thank you so much Miss Vicky! 💜
Thank you ms. Vicky...i like your teaching style. I am currently in kiip level 2 but it's a brain breaking for me.
I am an English teacher back in the Philippines that's why i like your teaching because that's should be the way to teach korean language for beginners. But it's not the case in KIIP..so, i thank you for your efforts.
God bless you Ms. Vicky.
Thanks!
Comprehensive video. Highly recommend for sorting out the basics.
I don't know how to thank her... this resource is a God send. Thank you Vicky, Love you always!
All I can say is that I'm glad that I subscribed to your channel! I'm currently studying Korean language to pass my EPS TOPIK. Thank you very much for making these videos! Totally helpful!
Grammar and vocab are my weakest spots when it comes to learning Korean but this video has helped a lot more than my one year of Korean language class. The class did help jump start my Korean language journey but this clarified some things that confused and got me excited for learning Korean again hopefully in a more effective way. 감사합니다!
Not to sound rude but what is there other than grammar and vocabulary?
Finally someone who recommends really good stuff to us understanding Korean sentences making
I love how clear and easy to understand your videos are! I’ve been learning Korean for about 8 months and sentence structure is something I’m having a tough time with but your video made it easy to understand and follow. Thank you so, so much!
