    Commercial pig farms will bring in dangerous practices like use of chemicals. Let the small-scale farming continue biko.
    When Nigeria was great, it was small-scale farming that made us great.

    Yes ooh Dawaki is one biggest market for women in Jos,they trade pigs and dogs ,monkeys,strange animals that u can't just find.

    I see a way govt can help increase the production of food and get their own which is the tax… they just need to build structure getting the market convent to be able to trade well and rank in tax for the government

    David yoi see in this life, people should be made to live and do their things according to their culture and religion belief..some were saying many rubbish about the dog market but here they are happy about this pig market.     Sir the biggest pig market in west Africa is Tunga at Kafanchan every Thursday Kafanchan is in southern part of Kaduna just 1hr:30min drive from plateau state

      WHY IS A PIG MARKET LOCATED IN A NORTHERN PART OF NIGERIA???ISN'T NORTHERN NIGERIA MOSTLY MUSLIM???ACCORDING TO THE KORAN,MUSLIMS ARS NOT SUPPOSED TO EAT PIG MEAT(PORK).

    Wow, I never saw this when I was in Nigeria because pork is forbidden in Islam. Only saw wild pigs! And here in Canada mostly women grow goats in their farms and men raise pigs. :)

      Your "forbidden in Islam" applies to communities where Muslims dominate numerically. Not in Plateau State and not in most parts of Nigeria

    I was born and raised in the U.S. I have been married to a Nigerian for more than 20 years. He eats pork sometimes but out of the 100 or so Nigerians I know here, they All say they never eat pork so I am so surprised to see this.

      Lol... some do eat and some do not, depends on the region in Nigeria the person comes from. Those from north mostly don't, some from the south don't and some do eat it .
      Me I eat it sometimes...both pig and even dog , sometimes
