First time subscrber. How awesome that our people are now able to tell our own stories without the bias of Western lens. I have travelled a bit around our continent and the thing that amazes me is how diverse it is.
I have been to the Amazon and it was awe inspiring but then you know we have the DR Congo rainforests. I have seen Niagara Falls and then in my own Zimbabwe we have Victoria Falls which is even mightier. We truly are blessed with everything in Africa. We just need peace and better leadership.

An American priest & his wife were in Kenya assisting with missionary work due to the drought. The couple mentioned the folks living in that area in Kenya, did not experience depression like Americans. They said they felt blessed just to be alive. Look how much depression effects folks in the west, who feel they "have it all" & say how bad they feel for folks struggling in Africa.
You see more smiles in Africa than any other continent.

What makes you unique is that you know there are many youtubers doing almost the same thing by enjoying themselves in the city and I understand thier messages Africa has been painted in a bad light for so long so people are tired so they where trying to change the narrative by showing the world the good and the bad side of Africa by Africans not not by the ones who made Africa this way in the 1st place' so you choose to go the hard way and by showing the depth and the different part of Nigeria' I say thank you.

Everybody knows that Africa is beautiful and a treasure. Just because of that others are doing their best to take her from africans. For example ezploiting the continent and westernizing it. There is now a gay movement but no peace, job, roads,clean water and so on for african people…

I am African American and on my Gullah GeeChee paternal side is Igboo, Nigerian. I was able to trace that in one day, when I met my Great cousin on this Island. We are one of few African Americans who were isolated during SLAVERY and were able to then and now, still speak the West and Central African language with English, African traditional food, spiritual customs and making baskets...etc.❤😂🎉😅😊.

Second, it’s amazing how this continent is beautiful and the people who leave on it - in their diversity - are similar or share a common thread… If you blindfold me and drop me in these parts. I would start looking for my village because of the many similarities😅. Not only in landscapes but foods, hospitality, traditions etc….The more we are told that we’re different a people, the more we must discover that we’re actually from the same Mothers. I’m from Scotland we have the same stones as you and ours go under the sea and connect with the ones in Ireland. We also have a giant foot print in the hills across from my house. The story goes that when the ancient kings were to be crowned they has to have one foot in the foot print at summer solstice and kneeled facing the rising sun.
Heard of Giant's Causeway (if I read you correctly) but NOT heard of the "Crowning Ritual" or the footprint. Will try to find information on it. I presume you know of the "Grave of Scotia" which is something I heard of only in the last two years.

As a Congolese woman raised in France, I used to work in Nigeria, in many places such as Abuja, Jahun, Maiduguri, Monguno....I was always amazed by the landscape, the various cultures, people are nice and proud to be Nigeria. How we conduct and behave to foreigners in our land and abroad matters. Everything will fall in place in due time. Hi, I'm very grateful for coming upon ur video. I'm Native American of the Shoshone-Paiute tribes. I love seeing ur beautiful country, especially beautiful ppl. Watching u drink natural water is refreshing. The water on our reservation has been poisoned by an old mine that's about 15 miles south of our reservation. I remember when we were kids being able to drink the water from the natural springs n swimming in the river that runs thru our reservation. It's such a great shame how ppl have caused too much destruction to our Mother Earth. It's truly sad that our ancestor's lives were violently taken for that, only for the beautiful precious lands n environment to be destroyed.

The landscape is breathtaking.
This video brings back memories to me. I served in Taraba and wish I visited Gembu. But I couldn’t as Gembu was about 11 hours from the village where I served. Good job 👏🏻
I love this documentary cos it made me remember my NYSC days, I served in Taraba state, and twice went to Gembu during the Census of 2006. Their grasses are green all year round, the roads are all hilly, and I think it's the coldest town in Nigeria. You can hardly see air conditioners there. Food is generally cheap, and so also honey, cow, and fruits, especially mangoes. Their main means of transportation is the bike, although some cars can be seen those days. Still remember eating Kumbi soup, and a lot of suya. I will definitely find my way back there one day, God willing. Kudos bro.

I believe that there are additional footprints that have been wiped away by the wind and water. As you can see, the footprints you’ve found are most likely clay that has weathered into rocks over time. What an amazing discovery!!

Despite certain western sources try to paint a bad light on African people especially Nigerians (there are some bad appless too, sadly) I found them as a people with intelligence and good manners.
Nigerians, Ghana, South Africa, Mali, Ethiopia and there are so many other african countries with great resources that have been victimised by western countries by so long.
Hopefully, the giants within every heart of African people will rise again!💪💪💪
