One of the best Eagles draft picks of all time. We like AJ, awesome trade but we will not be in the SB without Devonta Smith. I hope he is an Eagle for the long haul.
Watch out now, hell have at least one big catch in the bowl next weekend. Hes Underrated, they run the ball so well hes rarely called upon.- not and eagles fan
Same with Desean. I never saw a smoother combine gauntlet. I almost blew a gasket when they traded out of the first than used their first 2nd on the Notre Dame kid but thankfully they got him a few picks later.
That's good that he wanted to get his degree. Football doesn't last forever. He sounds like a good kid too. Smart move. And I'm glad to have him on the Eagles. I was a little worried about his size at first. But over the last two seasons he's definitely put those worries to rest.
Ive never seen a single player (Maybe other than Vince Young) take over a National Championship game the way he did his senior season for Alabama. They created the offensive gameplan around him and they just could not stop him - short of his thumb getting injured. Unreal talent
After I watched him torch my Irish in the playoff I knew this kid was special and needed the birds to draft him… needless to say tears fell that night and he’s been my favorite eagle ever since. Approaching all time favorite eagle status shortly already.
That guy is nothing but bone and muscle. He knows how to minimize damage and on top of that he is a tough guy. He never misses a game and rarely misses a play
Why are your prayers trash? Like at what point in Devonte whole football career has durability been an issue? It's been 4 years college and 2 pro so where are the durability concerns?
Slim Reaper baby. I think Smitty is going to have a big game on Sunday. They will probably pay more attention to AJ which is fine because Devonta is just as dangerous 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🏆🏆🏆
The ball is gonna be run to keep Chiefs offense off the field and the clock running. Eagles pass against running teams and run against passing teams after they secure a lead.
Kid has the best body control I've ever seen. It doesn't matter if it's 60 yards down field, he's twisting his body and high pointing it at full speed.
Nobody remembers the Alabama connection between Hurts and Devonta. They talk about Hurts and AJ, but like Stephen A said when they drafted Devonta - Hurts will be throwing to a known commodity because they've played together. This team is electric and there's no doubt Devota's a huge part of that.
@@matthewswope87 Where? One third of Devonta's highlights I'm hearing the name Hurts. I'm not saying they played together forever, but they played together more than anyone else that's on the team right now. Not counting AJ because they never played together in college. They practiced together at Alabama (though less so since Waddle was there). I'm not discounting what you said is true, I just want to see the video for myself if you can find it. I have no life and watch every Eagles video imaginable, and I've never heard anybody mention them playing together. All I hear is Hurts and AJ. I don't know why I'm bothered by it, but I am :/
When Devonta came to Alabama as a high school senior for a recruiting trip, Jalen Hurts was the player at Bama he was assigned to. They spent the weekend together. Jalen tells about how he personally like to practice rather than go out on Saturday nights and would go to the football facility to work out and throw balls. The SAturday night Devonta was with him, he asked him if he wanted to go out like the other recruits, Devonta said, nah, I’d like to go work out with you. Jalen said they went and spent hours throwing balls and getting to know each other. So while they did not play their entire college experience together, they became friends even before Devonta arrived on Campus the following year.
The #6 never looked, performed or made demands like a Boss🤣so Good..He always comes to work ready💚 The sound of his voice "Ay 30 minutes 30 minutes" That's my son🦅 God Bless you Devonta I wish you Peace💚
The Philadelphia Eagles draft pick of WR Devonta Smith. Was a very good pick. Because, we really needed some good WR , that can catch the football. Because, we don’t need any more excuses why they drop the football.Especially, when they was so wire open. Let’s go Eagles. And now win it all.Go Birds.
In 2023, I'm confident Devonta will have a better statistical year than A.J. Brown and people will start to question who is the true #1 in Philly. Devonta has been more active in the playoffs so far. I understand that Smith benefits from Brown being on the other side, no question. But Smith had 916 yards as a rookie on a fringe team with a project QB. Dude is gonna be an all-timer.
Jalen already said and his receiving corp already said stats mean nothing and that the main thing is the main thing....RINGS. Ask Marino Fouts and Kelly about stats versus Superbowl wins.
He is old school like Jerry Rice and dependable like Gronk. T. Kelce is great but nobody usesd the sidelines like Gronk and D. Smith mimics that strategy. It gives the quarterback a better target framing and reduces opportunities for interception.
I’m happy that he finally got his break out here it was a bit disappointing on his rookie year because I expected so much from him and Ja’Marr Chase even though Ja’Marr Chase didn’t went to the Super Bowl he stood had a better season than Devante but he’s only gonna get better from now after this he almost has the season like DJ more less touchdowns and more receiving yards But when Philly uses him more in the end zone he be a really good receiver hopefully he stays in Philly for a while And for years to come
@@mathewkeen2356 yeah he had 900 But only five touchdowns That’s why I feel like his rookie season was OK wasn’t spectacular like Ja’Marr Chase rookie season

He actually is good why hate? He’s pretty underrated even more now that aj brown is here which I’m not complaining of having but people like u don’t see the talent he brings he had a good season 1k yards! second season in the nfl he doing good though

He’s broken multiple tackles and even 2 on 1 Defensive
