I couldn't find the second (finished) install on the socket. I've not been successful at installing the socket without taking off the faring's. I've had my fairing off a couple of times to install the fog lights, dual USB chargers and just now the Denali Soundbomb Split horn. The horn video will be up on youtube ASAP. My channel has several Versys X300 installs like full LED conversion, Barkbusters, skid plate and 15 Tooth front sprocket with rubber cushion. More coming. Thanks for your video.
Thanks for the video. You inspired me to add a socket. I got the 90 degree screwdriver at Harbor Freight as you recommended. No matter how I tried, I couldn't connect to the screw that holds the plug. I learned that by bending the transverse piece of metal under the dash, the plug rises a bit from the dash and can be unscrewed while holding the metal piece. Easy! The Kawi socket I bought for $25 has wires that are too short, so I had to use bullet terminals and short pieces of braided wire to make the connection. All works fine. Thank you again
Hi Mate, I just put the Relay on my Versys x. Have waited months for the relay in Australia. Your video was very helpful. Need to get the usb port off eBay now. Cheers, Greg
So the socket has Male 2 bullet connectors on both ends. The Bike has a female connector and a male bullet connector. Do I need to cut and splice the male to male bullet connectors?
No I didn't need to extend the outlet wires, just cut the zip ties. When making the connection it was very tight. Extending the wires would have made it a bit easier.
Hi Larry, thanks for posting the video. I am doing this on my versys 300 now, I removed all the fairing for easy access to the bullet connectors, the issue I have is that when I put a multi meter on them It only shoes 0.1 vaults?
Thanks.. but you showed where the relay goes.. then you show where plug in , plugs in, so im totally confused..??? Is there a vid on here for relay, so its 2 seprate deals.. you dont plug the new plug in, into the relay> ?? I have no clue with elec crap! LOL
If you don't want to buy a new tool to remove the cap, you can just remove the grommet the fairing clips into and use a normal screwdriver to unscrew the screw holding the cap through the hole
ha! I got 3 of those exact same flashlights. Love 'em. Tough as nails and were dirt cheap when I got mine on sale. lol Just don't drop it off the roof onto a sidewalk. trust me. :-/ LOL
Funny! Mine falls apart at will sometimes. Put it back together and it still works. One of them quit all together and they replaced it no questions asked.

Thanks Dean! I was new to the Versys in 2017. Not a lot of videos on how to install so I guess I learned the hard way! Good advice for the install!
Is there a particular relay or part number? I have the USB socket info.
You didn't show any of the install in your install video...
I used a 12" long Philips screwdriver threw one of the grommet too access that power socket cover screw, easy .
800ed! I never thought of that! Maybe I'll try that technique when I install the aux lights on the other side.
I got the windshield and fairing off but couldn't get any further. I will try what you suggest.
It worked. Thanks

Cool! Always good to save a few dollars!
I pretty much did my socket just like you did! Thanks it worked great!

Thanks for video from Italy !!!
Is the second part of your video ready, Just wanted to know how It turned out for the wiring! I do too want to install that
Enrique! Sorry but didn't do another video. The connections were the same size just needed to plug them in.
Did you have to extend the outlet's wires?

Hello are you still located in Murfreesboro, I also live in Murfreesboro and just bought a 300x have a few questions thanks
Yes, I’m still in the boro. Haven’t updated channel in quite awhile.
According to the repair manual, you need to remove a few of the side fairings. Makes access a lot easier.
Thanks diggler! I should have tried that!
Help. My versys x300 won't start ? starter relay is making a clicking noise under seat. Are they a repair video or instructions
Sorry, can't help with this one.
No idea what to do with the bullet connectors.
Thanks MrDamon! Appreciate the feedback. Will try to do better with future vids!

I can't get the bullet connectors out
