    Great video, I like your approach of showing all the parts, tools required. The camera angles and lighting made it easy to see. I’m sure SW Motech is grateful to see your video out here. Happy riding!

    Super happy you posted this! I thought the fairings had to be removed to install the SW Motech bars. I’m glad they use the factory mounting locations. Cheers!

    Great video as always. What made you decide for the SW Motech bars instead of the Kawasaki original ones?

      Liked to look of them, Review on the product, looked more sturdy less bends & weld points.

    That 14mm lock nut for the engine mount is NOT coming off. It's on there so tight, I bent a ratchet extender trying to loosen it! 😢

      Try support the engine with some blocks to see if it removes tension on the bolts.

      @@DodgerMohr I'll give that a try, thanks for the tip!
      Your videos have been super helpful, got my first bike, a Versys-X 300, a couple weeks ago, and your videos are the best I've found for installations!

    Have you noticed an increase in the engine vibrations after installing the crash bars? I have a Versys x 300 and installed the sw motech crash bars about a month ago, since then I have notice increased vibrations in the 6500-9000 rpm range. This is my first motorcycle and I’m not sure what is normal and what not. Also I am not 100% sure that the vibrations appeared right after installing the crash bars because I have been riding slowly as I learn and usually shift before 6500rpm. However I have taken the bike to 10 000rpms in the past and I don’t remember the handle bars vibrating this much.
    PS. At the same time I also have installed the sw motech hand guards, which require the handle bar weights to be removed. I understand that this also might be a factor.

      I don’t think the Crash Bars would be the cause of vibration at high rpm. The hand guards might be the cause. Did the SW motech hand guards come with bar weights?

      @@DodgerMohr The sw motech hand guards come with handle bar end weights, but the weights inside the handle bar itself are not replaced. Regarding the crash bars, my installation didn't go as smoothly as yours. I had to knock the engine bolt out with a hammer and after i removed it the engine fell about 5-10mm, and the holes were not longer aligned. I had to lift the engine a little to put the new engine bolt. I'm not sure if this is normal.

      Yeah. I was wondering if the engine would drop a few mm when I replaced the engine bolt, luckily it just pushed out with no effort. Not to sure what is causing the vibration especially since you have bars weights installed with the hand guards. I can’t imagine the Crash Bars would casual the vibration, a little bit of drag maybe.🤔

    Hi do i need to support the engine while im removing that long screw that holds the engine?

    • @DodgerMohr
      @DodgerMohr  Год назад +1

      I don’t think it is necessary, but I would most likely place some blocks for peace of mind.
