Kirby's Return to Dream Land is my favorite c: There are a lot of reasons why though, but I do plan on making a video eventually explaining everything.
POV: you were watching this and midway wondered why the mural didn't go beyond return to Dreamland and then realized that Kirby's 20th birthday was in 2012
It's gonna be Kirby's 30th anniversary in less than a year and this is STILL an absolutely gorgeous piece. 10 FREAKING YEARS and it hasn't aged in the slightest! Absolutely incredible. Edit: THE TIME HAS COME
I was around 12 or 11 when I first saw this video all those years back and it blew me away. At the time I was just an up and coming amateur artist, still sort of am but I've gotten better. This was in a time where I was at a very low point, my unsupportive and abusive family would discourage my art because my mom believed it would go nowhere (she still does), but this showed kid me that the more I grow as an artist I would eventually make something as great as this. I would watch this video all the time because it was that important to me, not only as a kirby fan but as an artist, to see how lighting works, to see how to do backgrounds, I love this video so much and it has helped me grow a lot. Now I am 18, turning 19 this year, trying to make a career out of my art while also looking for a job (and struggling). I got this in my recommended after going on a kirby binge due to me being back in a familiar feeling of hopelessness I did back then, and it made me cry. This video and your other videos (whether it be your other speedpaints, your let's plays, or even your analysis of the references in return to dreamland) have helped me out a lot and made me grow as not only an artist but a person as well. Thank you for these videos, and I only look forward to your future stuff
Just Coming back to my childhood. This is what really pushed me to become a better artist. And im still trying. thank you for making this amazing mural!
If he did Triple Deluxe, Rainbow Cure, and Planet Robobot, that means that would be Kirby's 24 Anniversary. And the title says Kirby's 20th Anniversary. Know your facts

I hope one day to be able to draw like you!
I honestly don't stick around for speed paints, but dear god this was awesome. One of my fav franchises, and the idea of having an expanding piece detailing all the major games was great. I think I know what series we'll be filming next!

You bet that I hope the Kirby saga lives on forever as it is. After all, the Kirby saga has gone really far and it would be a huge waste to throw all that progress down the drain by making either a terrible game or a finale to the saga.
Yeah, Kirby is, in my opinion, one of the best series of games Nintendo ever made. Not only because it's good but also because it's memorable characters and bosses, awesome music, the gameplay isn't repetitive AT ALL; also, it's one of the only videogame series that gets better and better with every game, learning from its mistakes and being innovational with its bosses, but also bringing nostalgia to older players with the older foes, like dark matter. But no matter what, fucking Mario gets all the recognition.

@@Mommavery 2012 wasn't so long ago, personally... So unless he (or she?) Was like, between 12 to 18 years old at that times (which i found very unlikely here), that mean's he is still probably (kinda) little. (And by little i mean less than 18years old obviously..)
That was..... AMAZING!! You are a true Kirby fan! I sat around and just enjoyed all the memories I had while playing these games! They made me soo happy! You just earned yourself a sub and a fan!
I’ve always drawn but never took it super seriously; but then I saw this when I was 9 and I was so shocked at how good this was. I was a massive fan (still kinda am) at the time so this might have sparked a desire to do the same as TorKirby did. I was still a pretty bad drawer and wanted to do the same but with Cut the Ropes 3rd Anniversary. My drawing featured all the levels of the Original mobile game at the time with Om Nom going up to a huge cake. I posted it on Facebook on the Cut the Rope comment section where they accepted fan art and you could post images on the comment section at the time and they said they loved it! And with many concerts they posted for fans to draw, I went a little crazy and entered almost every concert and got some new mercy every time. But by 5th grade I stopped drawing since I wasn’t taking it seriously at all and was wondering why my art still looked the same, so I took up writing instead which seemed easier to do as all you had to do was write up words with the right technique and skill and didn’t require complex visual thinking from what I assumed at the time. It was fun writing for a time and even joined the middle school writers club but during mid 7th grade was when I hit a hard road block that would stop me from writing for good. I tried to force myself to write something from writing prompts to making cliches interesting but nothing was working, so I had to stop as nothing was interesting me anymore. I think it was at that moment I realized that even though I convinced myself that I liked to write, deep in my soul I really, really, really wanted to draw because of how cool it was that I could use pencils, markers, crayons or anything to copy or create something unique that exists around me. I wanted to but I was always discouraged as I saw drawings that were better than what I could produce. So I was in a creative depression, nothing seriously bad was happening in my life, I just couldn’t find motivation to improve myself or to even try. But all of that changed when I got a simple digital art program called Sketch and it was like something told me that I should consider drawing but this time actually learn techniques on how to do this (I believe the Holy Spirit guided me to this point). I mainly drew Slime Rancher fan art since it was also easy to do, I learnt how to use digital art that wasn’t MS Paint and one day I made an orange slime with a yellow star in front of its face like the Meteor Slime but orange and made it to be a sea star slime. I drew that but with a Puddle Slime on a coral pond, this was the first time I really felt like I was advancing as I was shading, putting in more detail and just giving it my all. Eventually on my 17th birthday I asked for pencils, books for drawing and my first sketch book so I could actually start drawing; not to mention I made a Party Slime drawing for myself and this time I was using color gradients that made the rocks more three dimensional, and that also really sparked me to keep learning. Now I have improved immensely over the past 2 years with a DeviantArt account and recently I think I have found my own style for drawing, and maybe other more styles to come. Now I look back at how far I have come and I am surprised at how much I have improved in a span of 2 years with years of my art looking the same to now where I can consider it great. But I still have a long way to go as I struggle with drawing humans with the complexity of human anatomy but I’ve figured out a way to remember their anatomy so that I can learn how to draw them on my own. Man, writing this comment was a journey in of itself and the video is nearly ending as I am typing this on my phone. 😂 Well, whoever is reading this, have a wonderful time and if you are drawing, just know you aren’t alone on how you feel when improving oneself or doing art in general. P.S. (I think when the 30th Anniversary comes, I may eventually take the reins of this guy or I may just draw a simple but special piece of fan art, whichever I’ll be doing, it will be done)
