Update Regarding Summoning Pools: As of the release of the DLC, there is a Map Menu window you can open on your map, which allows you to toggle individual summoning pools. This allows you to decide where you would like to be summoned instead of being pulled to any summoning pool you have ever activated. Very nice change.
You're a rare mix of informative, easy to listen to, and funny without being cringe meme-every-second humor. I've played soulsborne games since Demons Souls on Ps3 but I've never beaten one or taken the time to learn them, but after using your videos to see how intricate the mechanics reallly are I've decided to get back into Elden Ring and really try to learn it and beat it this time. I can see by the views theres a chance you won't finish the whole series due to low view count, but I'll stick around for whatever you decide to do, friend.
All the front-end work is already done and I enjoy the video-making process so I’ll see it through to the end regardless of views. Even if only a couple hundred people are watching that’s still helping a ton of people out so it’s plenty to keep me motivated

This is the most thorough walkthrough I’ve seen…..and that goes for every game I’ve seen a walkthrough for. Btw, I just laugh at people when they tell me I didn’t really beat the game the way it’s supposed to be done. I don’t remember asking anyone after I paid 60 bucks for the game if it was beaten properly.

I would say to new players to follow the guidance of grace UNTIL you get the one at the gate where you get Melina. Then ignore them.

Really useful videos for a beginner, I’ll be using the spirit summons. I’ll only ever be a mediocre player so will be looking for the ones that help make it easier without trivialising encounters.
I know I’m late to this but this is genuinely such a good series so far from just the start. And you’re right! All of us (mostly) have a ton of responsibilities and a life to build and seeing the people that belittle others for the way they play a game is always something I’ve never understood, it’s a video game dude! This video was amazing to listen to so I can learn Elden ring while I’m at work. I’ll definitely see it through.

The absolute best walk-through out there. After I played through the game about a year ago I went through several "complete walkthroughs" on youtube to just make sure I got to experience all the content 2nd time through when I wasn't too worried about spoilers. I understand and respect that it takes a ton of time to produce a full video like this but everything I came across was typically done by very inexperienced players that essentially walked you through getting OP very early breaking quest lines all over the place and then essentially still barely getting through the earliest bosses with over powered summons. (While I agree 100% with your commentary on summons, I don't think people should be creating "walkthrough or instructional videos when they don't have even the most basic understanding of the fighting mechanics in the game, but hey that's just my personal 2 cents and probably not worth that much lol) I stumbled across your channel by way of your awesome "Understanding Weapon Mechanics In Elden Ring: Scaling, Affinities, And Ashes Of War" and "Crafting The Perfect Build: Mastering Stats & Soft Caps in Elden Ring" which both were the best explanation I've come across. After watching the first couple episodes of this walkthrough I created a new character to follow along and am loving the very detailed explanation of every fight done with a "normal" not OP glitched character. I mean most of the smaller videos out there that explain the fights they typically aren't wrong per say but coming in and killing the crucible knight in the stormveil evergaol with an OP level 120 character where you are one or two shotting him doesn't exactly teach anyone the fighting mechanics. What you have done here is absolutely awesome actually teaching people how to do the fights and is very much appreciated.
Wow I really appreciate this. I have gotten a lot of comments over the years from people saying “just use xyz overpowered weapon and you’ll kill the boss in a couple hits” but that is obviously not the goal of my videos at all, so it’s always appreciated when someone recognizes my actual vision and the fact that I’m trying to make it accessible to anyone and any build.

Dude this guide was insanely well put together. I saw your explanations of stats and weapons too this Chanel is an actual w. I can tell this had a lot of effort put into it and it really pays off hopefully more people find this as they start to play. It's definitely the early game and main mechanics that make it hard to enjoy for those who don't play games like this so having this can honestly save some peoples first playthroughs before they give up.

Great vid. Yeah, most of us have regular jobs, and do this as an escape from the grind. Those complaining the hardest about summons/OP weapons don't HAVE a real job, and are whining through Cheetos-stained keyboards.
Any chance we can get a copy of the notes ?
They need a lot of cleanup and formatting before they would make a lot of sense to anyone else I think. For example I will often write to go pickup an item next, but I didn’t write down where it is because I just remember the location. Lot’s of random “hey, don’t forget to mention this in the video” type notes as well. I might be able to reformat the document to be released at some point but that will be a big project and I need to get the videos done first
