What boyfriend would not take her 8 miles home??? He waited for her to get ride? Just take her home!
a 14 year old kid
@@breeze8363 14 and he was driving??? Where is that allowed?
@@daisymaefrench4041 a moped
Hitchhiking was never a good idea. Especially for women. RIP Cynthia 💐
Back then it was kind of common though. That's why schools started pushing all the stranger danger stuff in the 80's....because of so many incidents like this.
@Doug_M Yes, it was commonplace to hitch back in the 60s and 70s. But, it was still dangerous, especially for females.
@@MarksArk2😢
Weird that the boyfriend did not take her all the way.
I was thinking the same. It was only eight miles up the road. my guess is he didn't get along with her parents.
maybe his car had issues and couldn't make it that far
The boyfriend should have taken her home and even if the parents didn’t get along with him he should have still made the effort to drop her off at least down the street where she lived. RIP Cynthia
I would never let my woman hitch no ride with a stranger what the hell was he thinking?
So he let her 14yo 'GF' get in a car with a stranger...C'mon man! I know it's the 70s but I heard stories of also men picking up boys looking for sex back then too.
So young and innocent. She died a horrific death, being beaten, strangled. Thankfully, she wasn't raped or violated. I find it thoughtless of the boyfriend for not driving her all the way, allowing that pretty girl to hitchhike. RIP Cindy. Thanks for her story, Lamont.
Obviously he didn't really care for her.
Thankfully...
The shortest 8 miles in the world. That boyfriend has the rest of his life to regret not making that 15 minute trip.
Maybe the boyfriend was too cheap and wanted to save gas.
@@Delta922
Gas was real cheap at that time
Why didn’t her bf take her all the way home?
My cousin was murdered by the man she babysat for. My uncle blamed himself for allowing her to go. Guilt is such a hard thing and it never goes away. I just wish the boyfriend had taken her the rest of the way. RIP
Sorry about your cousin. That's awful. 🙏
@@thelittlegreenball6813 thank you! it really was and I was really too young to understand and she was only 14.
@@debbiehoyt9018 So young...
I used to hitchhike in the 70s. Looking back I can't believe I was that dumb. RIP sweet Cynthia.
I was too smart to hitchhike. I never liked to go parking either. You never knew who was going to come out of the dark.
@@daisymaefrench4041 Like in that movie Zodiac. Terrifying.
If your boyfriend can't take you 8 miles home, leave that loser alone
It was 50 years ago. Maybe there was a good reason, different times.
The way that poor girl suffered is absolutely horrible so sad 😔 may she rest in peace 🕊🤍🕊 Thank-you Lamont for telling us her story
Be safe out there!!!
I don’t understand why the bf didn’t take her the 8 miles home. Wow very sad case. Love your channel Lamont.
Maybe the boyfriend was too cheap and wanted to save gas.
Thank you for visiting her grave and giving her respect♥️
Stay safe out there Lamont our country keeps falling apart more and more every day.
I hitchhiked when I was 19. One ride was verbally unsettling and scary. I never did it again.
Same but I was 15.
Lamont’s videos are short, sweet and nothing but the facts that’s all we need and nothing we don’t! Still showing there is a lot of sadness in this world and we need to be careful ! Thanks, Lamont
Kinda scary as hell. I used to do the same thing as that poor girl until I got the shit scared out of me. I changed my way of thinking. Rest in peace Cynthia.
thank you for waking up,....you could've ended up like poor Cynthia,...........marius(punk rules).
RIP TO CYNTHIA Very sad and thanks for sharing her story.
It's very scary to think that young women didn't give a second thought to hitchhiking back then. I never hitchhiked, but some of my friends did. It's a scary, different world today.
I never have and never will hitchhike either but those who do should be safe not have to worry about being killed! 😢😢😢😢😢😢
I drive all over the state every day and Lamont you are with me all day. We are both On the run!
This is so sad. There just are no words….
Boyfriend blew it ,take your girl home dude
Maybe he got blown and was done with her?
I'm sorry, the "boyfriend" dropped her off at an intersection to hitchhike home 8 miles? He couldn't drive her? Did he run out of gasoline? Was he drunk or impaired?
WTF!!!!!!
I'm really hoping he was drunk. I also wonder if she didn't want him to drive her home cause the parents didn't know she was with him and he had a loud car so they wpuld have heard. If it was my kids bf I don't care if I like or don't liek him if he allowed my daughter to hitchhike a ride home I would be going to his parents place to let them know what type of son they got. If I didn't like him yet he brought her home instead of letting her get a ride with someone she didn't know I wpuld be truky greatful for that and tell him thank you. I would have gave him another chance then cause that shows how much of a man he is even if he is in his teens.
Because that’s what she wanted.quit victim blaming.
Heartbreaking to know this actually happened.
So sad,Thank you Lamont!
🕊️ RIP Cynthia.
Thanks Lamont for the story. Such an unsafe world. So sad for that young girl.
I wish the deceased knew they haven’t been forgotten💝
I agree as I just lost my husband.
@@karlaruter3221 I'm very sorry for your loss. It's a loss you don't get over. I know. I lost my ex two years ago. We couldn't stay married, it didn't work for us, but we loved each other very much. How I wished we could have stayed together.

@@karlaruter3221 …. Sorry to hear you lost your husband…. How long were you married?
Holy crap, what monster would do something like that? This must have happened in a time in the past when girls were still innocent enough to hitchhike with strangers in the middle of the night, and her boyfriend even waved and said goodbye to her. How naive these boys are, my god.😮
They drive a couple a miles? Um SO WHY DIDN'T HE JUST DRIVE HER HOME? 🤦
Stay safe out there, and rock on, Lamont! 💜✌
Sad that the boyfriend didn't take her home or her family didn't come get her for the last 8 miles.
maybe her parents didn't love her enough?????????....they let her get killed,........marius(punk rules).
What b/f doesnt take her home to her door.. he didnt care or worried about her and thats sad RIP🦋💐
Exactly my thought. Maybe that's what did in the 70s but come on.. even then I could never take my girl to be dropped off to hitchhike home. RIP young beautiful soul 😢
@@thyraven287 i totally agree in 70s it was safer hitch a ride, but my bf always took me home to my door
He hit her hard, RIP Cindy. Ty for story
Lamont thank for another story of an innocent life taken to soon due to evil intentions
I'm from Cincinnati and was young when this happened.
I don’t care what times were in, who at that time of night gets in a car with a stranger. Especially a female getting in a car with a male??
They did it all the time back then
RIP to this poor girl! How very sad. Thank you for your respectful videos Lamont, you are much appreciated.
Justice for the family and friends rip
There was the time I was going to hitchhike, and as I was standing there, along comes my DAD! After giving me his piece of mind, I was missing half my azz! LOL. Never tried it again.

Why man why do so many people hate women 😢
Okay, well now we need the boyfriend to come forward and explain to all of us why he didnt take her all the way home...🤨
Sad. 😢
Cynthia M. Johnson was a 16-year-old girl who was murdered in Ohio in 1977:
When it happened: Johnson left her home in Garfield Heights around 7 PM on October 30, 1977.
Where she was found: Her body was discovered in a dumpster at a local business in Independence at 8:30 AM on October 31, 1977.
How she was killed: Johnson was strangled by ligature, and her death was ruled a homicide.
I looked up this story and this is what it said.. I didn't copy all of it, just a small enough info that says the year and manner of death 😢
Rest in Heavenly peace Cynthia so sad .🎉❤

Why the hell didn’t her boyfriend drive her 8 miles to her home? Jesus!
Maybe he was a adult she was a minor who knows
People used to hitchhike in the 70s like it was normal, a couple of older people told me stories how they’d hitchhike and it was easy to get picked up.
Boyfriend aside (yeah he wasn’t very sensitive to a need) that man was a murderer and is 100% at fault for a senseless murder! He has to answer for that to God now that he’s gone!!
Good day from Australia 🇦🇺
Now why in the hell didn't the boyfriend take her home unless he had something to do with it he might have set her up
WHAT TYPE OF BOYFRIEND IS THAT
Brainless
I know it’s already been said, but what’s another 8 miles down the road when you were already in the car?
That poor boy probably thinks about that decision all the time… 😢😢😢
Terrible tragedy 😢
Jeez gas is expensive there.
That's so weird! The hotel we just stayed at for Horrorhound was on State route 4. There has been a lot of things happen on that road.
Boyfriend's a douche for not taking her straight home.
God rest you're soul Cinthia

Another sad story. The human race can be so cruel to others there’s good people, but there’s a lot of evil out there.
Demons will be demons. This is their realm. Starting to think this is hell all along.
After a while you’ll be able to feel it… whenever you enter somewhere new. Your gut will tell you if the energy is off.

Why the boyfriend didn't take her home 😢
Hey Black Biggie, you're making a tremendous impact in reviving these long stagnant cold cases. Case in point, due to your extensive report on the FOUR "ladies of the night" who were terminated and placed behind that seedy hotel all positioned facing Atlantic City the leads have quickly emanated. The timeline reveals that the N.Y. architect making headlines in '23 had a considerable presence in the resort area. Your efforts are starting to pay dividends for detectives in a big way booby. Keep ^UP^ the incredible research homey ! 🔜. 🕵️. 👏
What kind of boyfriend wont take his woman ALL the way home,, and walk her to the front door!!!!
Thanks for video. Appreciate all you bring us. Must get overwhelming at times.
So sad that the parents couldn`t have picked her up, or the boyfriend`s parents couldn`t have given her a ride home.

Thanks 👍 you do such a awesome job 👍
Hey Lamont!💜
Hello Lamont 😊❤✌️💯
Thank you. ❤️🙏
Sad America.
Charles couldn't drive her 8 more miles?
I don’t understand why the bf didn’t take her home! Something not right there. Even if he had and it made her past curfew, him past curfew etc. It would be honest to tell parents that the bf took her home rather than let her jump in a strangers car. I started dating my future husband that year. My parents were strict but they would much prefer I get a ride home by my bf than hitchhiking.
1974 . We hitchhiked everywhere . Maybe he didn't have gas. They were kids ...
Wow so sad rip🙏❤️😔
Sounds like a frame up there's no evidence how do you know that the boyfriend didn't do it he had a car but let's her hitchhike home no I don't think so I wound my do that that's b.s

all that still goes on now day as well. i would neva get in a strangers car. i would rather walk.
I live in cincinnati never heard of this story before
No one who cared anything about her would have let her hitch hike
Thanks for telling Crystal's story. The way those birds were singing in that cemetery maybe they approved of you paying respects in a way maybe. I'd like to think so.
i cannot believe her boyfriend let her hitch a ride from a strange man!! she could have taken a bus and him gone with her to make sure she got home safely!! thats pathetic and very wrong he let her do that poor young lady I'm so sorry this happened to her!!😰😰

What how comes the boyfriend didn’t take her home??? 😢
He was ahead of his time.
I wish the boyfriend would have took her all the way home but maybe something was wrong with his car either way she was a hitch hiker and they warned her how dangerous it was am glad they caught who did it 😢😢😢
Boy Lamont, everyone used to hitch hike in the 70,s. That,s when that song "Hitchin a ride " came out in the 70,s. I graduated high school in 1976. It was pretty common then. R.I.P. Cynthia❤😢
