Matthew, may have tried to stay sober but his assistant and 2 doctors saw that they could take advantage of him and make fun of him while doing so was just horrible. These fly by the night doctors that get rich off of actors by keeping them high need to pay and pay behind bars. Matthew didn’t stand a chance. God rest his soul… 💔😢

I had heard he was on a special treatment using ketamine to help his mental illness but you would think in that case the doses would be really small so he didn’t get the psychedelic effect. Clearly he was being given too much.

Great video Lamont, I've never watched the show myself.but I've been off drugs and pills for 7 months.im 62 now and started at 27.so I can relate.this was my 3rd rehab.
Last few days 5 people have been arrested in relation to Mathew Perry's death
So sad that people, Doctors even took advantage of a person with a Disease. They might spend life in jail & it’s fitting! 5:42

Perry’s death is similar to Michael K. Williams. Both had drug addictions, appeared to have beaten them, only to be given a lethal supply by a group of people.
@@DoubleHeader97 He also had a Disease, Alcoholism…so tragic. I wish his family would’ve have been around him instead of strangers that were taking advantage of him & his money. He had none of his real friends around him & his death has had a huge impact my life. I was sure that he overcame his addiction demons, was looking after his health with his Alcoholism Disease, was managing & coping daily but clearly he wasn’t.
I wish someone had been around to help him in the same way he was helping so many others. I will miss him so much! RIP Matthew! ♥️🙏🏼🇨🇦

Actually, he had a health issue as an infant. His parents and dr put him on medication that was addictive. He also had no real family support while young. He started drinking very young (self medicating). Yes he was addicted. He suffered depression. He got clean for a while, like other addicts, he relapsed. He didn’t have REAL friends with him at the end.

I was not a big fan of Friends or any of the movies he starred in, just wasn't what i watched then. I do agree that Matthew Perry's addictions were one of the worst in Hollywood's history. So sad that he succumbed to them at such a young age. RIP Matthew
I was never a "Friends" fan. I liked him the movies "The Whole 9 Yards", "The Whole Ten Yards", and "Serving Sara." To be honest, the main reason I watched that last one was it co-starred Bruce Campbell; he's been my favorite comedy actor since I was 15 or 16. But Perry will be missed. Such a tragedy what happened. These celebrities need to understand that their fame does NOT make them invincible.

Perhaps the name kathy has some kind of proclivity to positivity? I use to think Luke Perry and Matthew Perry were brothers, they're not. First Luke Perry died from a major stroke, years later Matthew Perry dies, very very sad indeed.

I read his book. It was a view into his life. Very tragic. I never watched Friends either. I couldn't get into it.

I remember getting home from work to see Matthew’s interview with Diane Sawyer to promote his book. Less than a year later, I am work when I get an alert on phone that he died (my mother told me he drowned when I got home that night).
Just because you have a lot of money it doesn't mean you are happy within yourself, as the saying goes whether you live in a 300 square metre house or a 30 square meter house the loneliness is still the same😢

Wow! I didn’t know he looked like he did when he died. I also hadn’t heard about his organ blowing out and in hospital 9 months. I remember he got really thin at one time when he was on Friends due to his addictions. Beautiful home with a great view. Sad he didn’t live longer to enjoy it!
The residuals the Friends cast make is crazy money, around $20M a year. Imagine being handed $20M annually for one gig you did 20+ years ago.
A regular 2-3 month rehab program wasnt going to help him. He needed to literally rent a suite at one of those rehab resorts and spend the next 18 months or so under 24/7 supervision. Sad, avoidable waste of his life and the good fortune handed him. Very sad.

Yeah a friend of mine who grew up in the neighborhood now He's about the age of my son He's in his 40s it was Vicodin Vicodin I I don't understand what that stuff is but now it's the people that really need it can't get it because of these people abusing that drug.
I'm in Los Angeles County and had teeth extracted. The surgeon gave me a prescription for 18 Tylenol 3 with Codeine in case I needed it. The pharmacy made it like a whole investigation! Geez!

Don't blame people for the ways of the greedy DEA. The DEA doesn't care about people dying, they care about profits made. The govt introduced drugs to society intentionally. Yes it's a shame our authoritarian govt won't provide people in pain their meds like they used to, that said adults can and should do what they want with their own bodies.

Hey Lamont..I was a newlywed in the early 90s at Fort Bragg..when my husband would come home Friends was in his lineup to watch. I hated that show. I was always so thankful he was too tired to watch it..The Simpson's and Star Trek the Next Generation was my favorite..memories 😢

Opiate addiction is a sad sad horrible addiction when you're on opiates it makes you feel like you're on top of the world when you run out it's like going to hell!!! Friends was very popular among UK millennials like myself. Everyone had a favourite character. Mine was either Joey or Phoebe (I was around 12 when I watched it). Chandler was popular due to his dry humour, as you might be aware, we Brits love us some sarcasm. Such a sad end to a man who brought laughter to so many.
A few of his social media posts months before his death alluded to him knowing that he was being watched, and that he had a target on him.
Amazing work Lamont. Actually made me interested in someone that never interested me before this video. I never thought 'friends' was funny either, couldn't even sit through a half hour of it. This was a great video. Thanks Lamont.

Classic example of someone being handed the golden cup of life and throwing it all away. Multi millionaire, recognized and admired everywhere, and he pissed it away. And his addictions completely ruined his good looks, at the end he was a frumpy, overweight dude who looked considerably older than his age.
