Not wanting a grave because you think people are going to vandalise it is incredibly sad.
Yeah, I know; it's hard to put a considerable sense to that one. And it doesn't make it any better that NBC hardly acknowledges their part where there could've been some emotional support for Dustin in his last days, where even the former cast might care to bury 'old acquaintance' and just love on him as best as time offered.
I never read that book, though I'm thoroughly sure it represents the taint of the Hollywood 'smitten' (for which Diamond likely attempted to draw monetarily) as a subject, rather than something therapeutic.
And it's very hard for actors to come back to Earth from it, which is an "ages old" penchant that one can still be redeemed, though the good examples aren't easily offered up.
Did you see him on Celebrit Fit Club? smh
@@girlsamurai19 I did. I was surprised and disappointed about the way he conducted himself.
@@girlsamurai19 That's how ppl who USED to be bullied act. At least some of us do. You have years of rage where you couldn't stand up for yourself. That rage HAS to come out in some form. So many ppl grow up becoming the very thing they used to hate. I get it because I can be like that sometimes. 😞

Very sad which explains why Dustin was lost when he came to his career because he didn't have a direction and support system.
If he would went to the doctor earlier he would be saved right ma'am?
@@ljjackson3520 It's possible that they could've caught the cancer in time. I was referring to him not having a support system because he lost his mother and didn't have a relationship with his father, so he didn't have guidance.

For some of the young folks out there, "Saved by the Bell" was a hit show back then. The 90s were the years.
I was born in 1991 and remember watching Save by the Bell as a kid! It was one of my favorite shows back then! That and other shows like Baywatch, Sister, Sister, etc! They were all good shows back in those days!
I’m from England and grew up with this as one of my favourite shows 😊
I graduated high-school only like ten years ago but they always played Saved by the Bell on dish/cable in the morning before school so my brother and I grew up watching it even though we're in our 20s
Yeah, the 90s were the years of nothing but shit, just like this show.

I watched saved by the Bell religiously, most because of the girls. When I found out about Dustin, i had a hard time wrapping my head around it. He was only 44. I my self was diagnosed with stage 3 Colon Cancer in 2021 I did 6 months chemo by IV. Then in 2022 it moved to my liver they removed 5% of my liver to remove a tennis ball sized tumor. Then on 2023 they found a dime sized tumor on my Spleen. They did cryoablation surgery to kill the tumor. Now it's 2024 and I'm doing great just turned 55 on June 2nd. It just makes me think all these young people passing from all kinds of cancer. Then there's me I get it 3 times in 3 different spots and I'm still here thankfully by the grace of God. I was diagnosed with an incurable blood cancer (Multiple Myeloma) in May 2020. It's most commonly found in 70 year old black men but I seem to be in that 1%. I was only 39 then and that diagnosis turned my world upside down. I've done heavy rounds of chemo and I had a stem cell transplant. It was really rough for 3 years but I'm in a much better place. There is no cure but it can be managed. I have a lot of life to live. I was lucky to have been diagnosed as a simple test on my bloodwork is what tipped the nurse off. And next thing you know, I'm doing 8 hour chemo treatments two days a week. I had leg pain 2 years prior which docs had attributed it to back issues. It turned out I had cancer in my leg. Luckily we've been able to treat it and get me in a good place. I'm with Lamont on this. If you have any signs, symptoms, pain or even if you just don't feel right, get checked. Cancer can be invisible and not show itself till it's too late. I wouldn't wish that I'm going through on anyone. Poor Dustin, I can only imagine what he went through. RIP Screech ❤

Yes, that's what struck me when I read about Dustin Diamond-how young he was when he developed and died of lung cancer.
His cancer sounded almost identical to that of a former baseball player & Cincinnati Reds manager named Fred Hutchinson. He was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 44, when he went to have a lump looked at medically- that had been on his neck for a while. He lived approximately 11 months from the time he was diagnosed, until he passed away at the age of 45.
In Washington the Fred Hutchinson cancer research center was started by his surviving brother who was a physician and wanted to do something to memorialize his brother.

Well, just for information about cancer; this disease is terrible because many times people have it and don't know about it unless something happens and you end up discovering it by accident. Most people discover it when it is already in advanced stage.
I discovered I had cancer in a jeep trip. Since it is a hard car and my friend drove it on some lumps and holes on the street, it shook so hard that the carcinoma/tumor dislocated. It was kidney cancer and my appendix was also a tumor. It was such a horrible pain I cannot describe it. And as soon as I came back home I surged for a doctor who immediately asked for medical exams. Operation took 5 house and I lost part of intestine and 1 kidney. No quimotherapy needed cause I discovered soon by accident.
Today after 3 years and 500 stitches I'm great. Thanks God.
Annual check ups are very importa, specially for those who have a family member with that illness. Cancer is a genetic illness, can pass from father/mother to son/daughter. Be aware.
Cancer can also be environmental. I have a blood cancer that I'm fairly certain is environmental.

Thank you for all you do !! We appreciate all your hard work ,and know you are loved❤ Take Care of yourself out there.😊
Every Saturday i watched saved by the bell, it was at the end of the Saturday morning line up. Those were the day. How sad that he was so scared
As much as I love Skreech, Steve Urkel was definitely the most popular nerd on tv. He even had his own action figure and cartoon
…and his own cereal, Urkel O’s.
Close second would be PeeWee Herman!
Damit! You took my line 😂@@divineintervention3961
For peewee❤
@@divineintervention3961 oh yea I forgot about that!😂
Saved by the Bell was an every day staple when I was a kid. I watched all renditions of the series even the wedding series. Those were the good ole days. RIP SCREECH (DD).
Very sad, may he be a star in heaven.
Dustin Diamond, Screech, starred in a series of TV commercials for Insurance King, a Insurance company in the Rockford Illinois area. He was often featured making references to Saved By the Bell with sayings in the commercial like “Saved By the King”.
Lisa was the prettiest one that's the reason why I like the show.
Lark voohies was a pretty girl
😢❤ Thanks for the video and remembering this young man!
He got Poop poop c
I had no idea he had passed. 🙏Rest in Peace.
😮I'd also read where Christopher Reeve's wife had died of lung cancer, like Dustin, who'd reportedly didn't smoke, either. The suspected reason for her diagnosis, if I remember correctly, was due to the insulation in their home.
Rest in peace screech 😢
I watched every single episode, all the way up through the college years, over and over. It used to come on Saturday mornings. It's sad that Dustin Diamond died so young.
Thank you Lamont for another insightful story
on Dustin. It was sad that he thought that after he passed
his resting place would be vandalized. Hopefully he found
peace. Love and prayer to your readers that shared their
personal experiences with cancer and loss. 🙏✝❤
The best thing I saw him in was celebrity fit club, he antagonized everyone on that show, they all hated him, it made great TV, and he lost the most amount of weight,
Right? He played the role of the antagonistic asshole so well. His digs at Kimberly Locke especially were priceless.
@@DesertRainReadsI remember that!! lol I wish I can watch that again
@LoneRanger-lc1ymyou’re too naughty
Children growing up in the business are the modern equivalent of gladiators. untold trauma does unimaginable things to body and mind.
He died of lung cancer
There was a lot of nasty activities going on with these cast members behind the scenes.
It was so bad, Lisa actually had a mental breakdown from the trauma, and she hasn't been the same since.
Hayley Mills was a very popular child actor. "Pollyanna" was her most popular movie. She's the daughter of British actor John Mills.
I have lung cancer
I wish you a speedy (as possible) recovery. ❤😢

@lennettepageruss1751 thanks for your prayers
Can you please send me a friend request please
Prayers to you 🙏
I saw Mark Paul Gossler on Law and Order SVU. SO sad about Dustin Diamond. Left too soon. Thanks for doing a broadcast about him.
Mark-Paul Gossler didn't keep a relationship with Screech.
Very respectfully done Lamont.
My sister had single cell carcinoma in her lungs. She survived for 10 months after being diagnosed.
My dad passed away with the same cancer Dustin had and metastasized to his brain, liver and bones. My dad died two weeks after diagnosis.... Never had a chance to even try chemo. Cancer is so brutal and has taken many souls lately. 😞
REST IN PEACE DUSTIN 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽😪😪😪😪😪😪
I am 52 and I loved Saved By The Bell and I absolutely loved SHOWGIRLS. It's a cult classic.
me too❤🎉
I live in Las Vegas. Back in 2008 I worked at Target. One night after my closing shift I decided to goto my favorite sushi spot for a late dinner. I walk into the place and I look to my right, there at a table was Dustin Diamond looking at me. It was the craziest thing. I looked at him and smiled, nodded, and gave him a thumbs up. He nodded and smiled back. For the next hour I watched people walk in and react to seeing Screech himself sitting there. He was very gracious with those that went to him. When he left I gave him a look and nodded once more and gestured a “see ya” wave. He did the same and walked out.
You explain things very well. I’ve been watching your channel several years and you never disappoint
Dustin Diamond was a regular at the high end strip club my cousin in law worked as a bouncer. He had a reserved booth in VIP. They said he was an angry drunk and a perv. The security was so good that they would go to each car before you could get out. It was Club Paradise and he smoked cigars there. That was in 1996
I know the Club ya all .Raise👽 the Roof
As far as smoking, Frank Zappa said it best, he died of rectal colon cancer and was a smoker. "The cancer is in my ass, not in my lungs." I am not condoning smoking, but I believe there is a genetic predisposition to cancer. What a sad story, poor thing.
Yeah but they're now saying smoking causes other cancers, there's nothing good about smoking, period. It will kill you eventually someway, somehow
What about people that die of lung cancer and never smoked explain that 1
Lmao 🤣
@@timothycallahan253 I thought so
@@markmaterio7130Dana Reeve died at 44 of lung cancer even though she never smoked. But in her early career often sang in bars and hotel lobbies with exposure to secondhand smoke. She passed away 10 months after her husband Christopher Reeve (Superman) died. So sad.
I just wanted to shout out Lamont and say thank you for these videos, and even more thanks for being genuine!
Good show. Can't imagine anyone doing Dustin any better than that. He still lives on every Sunday morning on METV. Thanks Lamont.
I grew up watching saved by the bell every morning before school. Rest in paradise Dustin
Same here
@LoneRanger-lc1ym waste of a comment.
