I am 45 years old, I live in Fort Worth Texas and I was very fortunate enough to see all of the von Eric‘s wrestle here at Will Rogers Memorial Center that is in the downtown center of Fort Worth. This was in the 80s when a lot of iconic rest were up-and-coming, great times I will never forget these
Please excuse my misprint on the previous comment, I am totally blind and I use what it’s called voiceover dictation talk to text, but it’s supposed to say up and coming wrestlers. Thank you once again.
Kevin has to be one of the strongest people mentally and emotionally I can think of. How he didn't lose it after all the tragedy in his life (and was able to rebuild so positively with his own family) I will never know.

Exactly my thought. My youngest son died in 2021 while eldest son was in ICU fighting for his own life. I still am grappling with losing the younger but God let the other live. I feel horrible for this woman.
Bret tried so hard to convince Kerry that his kids needed him. He thought, he had finally convinced Kerry to "not do it". When he found out, Bret was devastated, and wished he could have done more.
I grew up in east Texas with the Von Erich's and being related to them and spending time with them at the ranch and in Tyler Texas I feel blessed to have had them in my life..thank you for making a nice video&being so respectful. ❤
Kevin Von Erich, the surviving brother, is an inspiration. I encourage people to listen to him talk. His two sons are wrestlers and his two daughters are managing the Von Erich Family RUclips channel. They also bring on Kerry’s daughters. They have live streams where they share memories of Kerry, Mike and Chris. Also of their grandparents. They focus on the positives. They also interview the children of the other wrestlers who have passed on etc so they can share their positive stories of their loved ones.
My uncle was a pretty close friend to david. He told my mom that they were at the bar one night, and david mentioned a sharp pain in his belly and even crouched over in pain. My uncle and his friends said you should get it checked out. David said he had already made a gastrologist appointment due to his concern as this wasn't the first time, but thought it was a pulled muscle at best. There was a scheduling conflict and he had to cancel the appointment to fly over to japan. Had he gone, the doctors would have probably found out his intestine was ruptured. Tragic timing. Definitely a curse of some sort was placed on this family. Kevin was the only one that acknowledged fought against it and because of that, is alive to this day. RIP Von Erichs
I absolutely loved the Von Erich’s growing up. I stood in line at town east for hours to get Kerry’s autograph. Lots of of my family and friends are buried at that cemetery as well. Thanks for the video. ❤
As a Texan, I saw this family wrestle in person at the sportatorium so many times, I met David Manning when his Mom was in the hospital where I worked, & once David Von Erich was thrown out of the ring by King Kong Bundy & landed right in my lap, almost broke my leg!! I didn’t even care, I was mesmerized, & Kerry was my high school crush. I still have signed pics by David, Kevin, & Kerry ❤ Their deaths just devastated me. I cried like I had lost a family member. Such a sad tragic story. RIP Von Erich’s ❤❤❤
100% The most Tragic Events in all of wrestling with the Von Erich. The Mother Dorris was the Glue that held that family together. Rumors have it those boys could party with the best of them. The Von Erich’s were Like Movie Stars in Texas and WCCW. Some of my Favorite matches of all time are Kerry vs Chris Adams , Kevin vs Chris Adams and anything with The Free Birds.
Hey Lamont I live in Dallas and My family loved watching the Von Erich’s on Saturday Nights on World Class Wrestling. I live in Dallas only correction is the Dallas Texans were owned by Lamar Hunt and within a year of the creation of the Dallas Cowboys he moved the team to Kansas City and they became the Kansas City Chiefs. If you look at the Chiefs throwback helmet logo. It’s basically an outline of the state of Texas. Keep bringing the good vids.
Actually there were two different incarnations of The Dallas Texans. THE 1952 Team which Fritz played for actually was an NFL team. Lasted only one season. After the team folded it's assets were awarded to The Baltimore Colts who was a new franchise at the time. The other Dallas Texans who did move to Kansas City and become The Chiefs were , originally, a charter team of the AFL in 1959 and left Big D for KC in 1963.
I could add a lot to your story, I lived in Shady Shores, right near the Von Erich’s, mom, dad, Mike and Chris lived on Fritz lane in the family home, and David, Kevin and Kerry lived in a little wood framed house on Shady Shores. They were about a mile down the road from us, and they’d have parties so loud we could clearly hear the music lol. We were enraptured living so close, my brother was the same age as Chris and he spent a lot of time at their house. There IS a lot I won’t say about the two younger ones since they aren’t here to defend or rather explain themselves. But the older brothers worked out every single day, and one afternoon Kerry was in the home ring and invited Chris and my brother to come tussle around, the boys were around 10-11 or so at the time, my brother tried to punch Kerry on his back, hit his shoulder blade and shattered his wrist. Our mom was the “I will sue you!” Type so my brother told her he broke it while jumping the ditches down Fritz Lane 😂 Mom never knew lol, we did get tickets to go to the SportAtorium from time to time and our dad loved it! Imagine our surprise when we were watching a wrestling program and the Free Birds, their major nemeses team, THE BAD GUYS, was sitting around a pool talking about how they were going to beat The Von Erich’s and they were AT the Von Erich’s house, that was their POOL!

You should do a video about the Anderson Family. On December 24th, 2007 (in Carnation, WA), 6 members of the Anderson Family were gunned down by their daughter/sister/sister-in-law/aunt, and her deranged boyfriend. The crime was incredibly horrific, and the two murderers were sentenced to life in prison.
Our city had their wrestling on tv. Loved all the von Erichs. Remember freebird fight and the fight between chris adams and gino hernandez. I never knew until after Kerry killed himself that he lost his foot. Such a tragedy 😢 glad Kevin has peace now in Hawaii with his family.
My mom loved Wrestling at the Chase and we watched every Saturday. I had a huge crush on Kerry Von Erich. So sad that this family had to go thru this. Their poor parents.
I always wanted to go to the Chase and see them live, but my parents refused. I only lived about 20 minutes away from the Chase Park Plaza. I'm glad to see it's reopened and doing well, but I really wanted to see the Von Erichs there
What a very sad, sad story. The deaths must have been hard on every one particularly the parents. I am glad that they are all reunited in Heaven. May they all rest in peace. Another great video, Lamont--thank you!
Job well done Lamont. not sure if you seen it yet but the movie the iron claw shows their life and their tragic endings , they did leave out chris' story though in the movie. I do recommend it to wrestling fans to watch it will explain a lot about the von erichs , how the curse came about etc..

Beautiful family with a very sad story behind them -- 😪
I love your videos lamont 💟
You should do a video about the Anderson Family. On December 24th, 2007 (in Carnation, WA), 6 members of the Anderson Family were gunned down by their daughter/sister/sister-in-law/aunt, and her deranged boyfriend. The crime was incredibly horrific, and the two murderers were sentenced to life in prison.
What does this have to do with this story?
Such a sad story. I can’t imagine the pain and grief the parents and Kevin went through. I’m surprised they’re not all buried alongside each other
Yeah that's a crazy situation with the bond Eric's and Chris Benoit love your videos man
Our city had their wrestling on tv. Loved all the von Erichs. Remember freebird fight and the fight between chris adams and gino hernandez. I never knew until after Kerry killed himself that he lost his foot. Such a tragedy 😢 glad Kevin has peace now in Hawaii with his family.
Behind the Titantron didn't give half the information about Fritz Von Erich that you did. Great job. I'd like to see you do more like this ❤
one of the greatest wrestling families such a tragedy what they have gone through
❤❤❤❤❤❤Youre awesome LaMont. This story is very touching ive always like heard about this family. But never really knew. Now i do!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Such a tragic story watched them growing up thanks for the great reporting Lemont peace

LOVE ALL UR VIDEO'S ❤❤❤ KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK THANK YOU 🙏🏽
I grew up watching this wrestling family. Kevin Von Erich is the only one with us. They were all great. RIP
Thanx Lamont 😊
What a very sad, sad story. The deaths must have been hard on every one particularly the parents. I am glad that they are all reunited in Heaven. May they all rest in peace. Another great video, Lamont--thank you!
I really like the style of this video! Great job 👏🏻
Job well done Lamont. not sure if you seen it yet but the movie the iron claw shows their life and their tragic endings , they did leave out chris' story though in the movie. I do recommend it to wrestling fans to watch it will explain a lot about the von erichs , how the curse came about etc..
Sad story in the Von Erich history great job Lamont was a fan of the Von Erich’s in my early years
You’re content is 🔥
How tragic! 😢
Thank you Lamont.
Safe journeys to you 🙏🕊️
My pawpaw is buried literally across the street from the Von Erich’s graves
