Check out 805RoadKing's video of that 2 cylinder boxer engine!
ruclips.net/video/qpLlcHx2pA8/видео.html
Love that last screwdriver, I hope to find one of those myself!
Fantastic show. You found some great treasures. Looking forward to the restorations. The wooden handled sewer you wondered about looks identical to a hand sewer I have seen in use at the local boat canvas shop. Those working gas engines are glimpses 8nto the past and how people figured out how to solve practical day to day problems.
Thanks Pat! Look for more bonus footage of the July show in future videos. Hopefully I'll get some footage of the saw mill in the Fall!
That's a cool little bicycle wrench. Can't wait to see you clean it up.
What a difference a day makes!! You beat all the Vultures!! Nice haul Bud, always good talking to you!!☺
I think I'm going to become a Friday morning regular! It was great talking to you!
I love all the wood handle screwdrivers, especially the smaller ones! 🇺🇸👍 Roger
Me too Roger! It was tough for me not to bring them all home!
Nice group of fun projects. And thanks again for the old engine shots. I hope to get to travel to that flea market some day.
Thanks John! I'm already looking forward to the Fall show!
Wow great haul The Trimo auto monkey was my favorite that is a very unusual design Thanks for Sharing .
Thanks Alex! I started working on that Trimo already!
Love the needle nose pliers and side cutters best all great project to do
Thanks Larry! Those needle nose are almost NOS!
So many cool pieces! Can't wait to see your restorations :)
I've got years of projects to work on, but I still keep going to the sales!
Really fantastic show and tool haul Buddy I think my favourite is the trimo Pipe wrench it’s a real gem :-)
Thanks Ben! I took the Trimo apart today. It is made very similar to the Girder bicycle wrenches.
Wow you got some nice items. I like the screwdriver with the s on it. I could not go on the weekend and didn’t realize it is open Friday morning when I could go! I will remember next year. Thanks for the video.
I think the Fall show is also three days.
Great video! Loved the awls…always buy one whenever I see it …let’s see some restoring!
I've got a small British made bicycle wrench project on deck that I think you will recognize!
Looks like you had fun. Loved the saw with the cutting edge technology! Jim
The engine shows are always a lot of fun!
The wood handle screwdriver to the immediate left of the craftsman looks like a Western Auto. Once you remove the rust you may find the etching on the shank. Great picks!
That would be cool! I don't come across that much Western Auto stuff!
Great tool haul. Gonna be fun restoring them. Thanks 😊🙏
Thanks Mike! I've already started on the Trimo wrench!
Nice haul Magdad. My favorite was the saw at the end of the video, i must have one 😂
You found a lot of nice stuff. (4 years ago I would have called it junk but my eyes see thing a lot different now 😂 ). I like it all but I have to agree with you on the last group. I wished they would bring that show to Kansas 😂. Can’t wait to see them restored. Thank You for sharing Magdad!
Thanks Jack! I guess one man's junk is another's treasure! I've already started working on the Trimo wrench.
Great haul. The mini plane was my favorite.
Thanks WM3! It looks like the one from that kid's set I walked by!
Great haul! The red devil and the screwdriver with the S are my favs... glad you had a good time and found some cool stuff! Thanks for sharing! Have a good'un, Vic
Thanks Vic! That Red Devil is pretty cool!
My star was that thin 1915 Trimo Wrench!! Thanks for posting!
Thanks Mark! I'm working on that wrench now - very interesting design!
Nice haul. That X Acto plane I think is very cool. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! It will be interesting to see how well it works!
Great haul, the wire cutters were my favorite.
Thanks David! I'm gonna clean them up for everyday users!
Man you got some great stuff! Love those pliers, they are both in great shape. I got to get to the next show there.
Thanks Tom! Maybe I'll see you at the Fall show!
That's a nice haul MD. My favourites are the Red Devil UK 55 and the brass hammer. They should both clean up nice. 👍
I'm gonna try to get that brass hammer into shape for a user.
Great haul Magdad! Love the little sewing awl. They usually have a built in spool of thread, I’ve never seen one like that. Hard to pick a favorite as I would have purchased all that same stuff. 😁 I wish we had shows like that around here. We just have to try our luck at estate sales or pay 10x the price at antique stores. (Not)
I can’t wait to see what you do with these treasures! Take care 😃👍🏼
There is a spool in the handle of the stitcher. There was so much good stuff at the flea market!
Yes ! Great prices too ! We don't have shows like that here either I used to frequent swapmeets ... and none of those are here either. The hurricanes and flooding took most of the old stuff..
Sweet haul magdad!! I like the screwdriver and the adjustable wrenches..
Jacktown is always fun!
That Red Devil knife is my favorite. That 'chip in the tip' at 10:12 comes in as a close second. Yeah, it was a hot one. I was there the whole show. Surprised we didn't cross paths.
That Red Devil logo is pretty cool! Maybe we'll see each other at the Fall show!
Dang Magdad you got some great finds. My favorite is from my home town of Boston, Mass. I love seeing Trimo Wrenches especially because my mom and dad's first apartment was in Roxbury where they were made!
Thanks Stephen! That Trimo seems like a viewer favorite!
Looks like you scored some cool items at the show. Roadking and Mike and great guys!!
It was fun chatting with a couple of RUclips celebrities like RoadKing and Mike!
Nice walk around 357 and nice finds perfect for your resto magic.
Thanks Randy! The engine shows are always a lot of fun!
The Red Devil would look so good polished up with face and text painted red with black highlighting the contours.
Awesome pick!
It would be fun to decorate!
Nice haul and I liked the narrow monkey wrench and last screwdriver
Thanks Steve! Those two are my favorites also!
The Trimo hands down. I have one out in the garage about 18 inches long. It's my go to wrench when stalkers come around my grand daughter.
I was working on that Trimo today - very interesting design!
Dang that boxer / pancake motor has a nice lope to it ! Reminds me of my first Harley lol
Mg favorite were the pruners. I missed the broken spring till you pointed it out. Thanks for the video on the boxer engine. I thought they were a much more modern design.
I was really bummed about those pruners when I got them home. I think 805RoadKing is gonna have a more in depth video about that engine.
Great stuff!!!! It was HOT this weekend. Usually I'm not a fan of summer shows because of the heat. However it looks like you had a great day!!!! Love the haul!
I got there early and mostly beat the heat. I think I'm gonna become a Friday morning regular!
Great tool haul. My favorite has got to be the perfect handled screwdriver with the big “S” stamped in front of the handle. You don’t see many of those floating around estate and yard sales!
I bought it to do a full polish ScoutCrafter grade job on it, but they are going for decent money on ebay. I may have to flip it!
Wow. One table there had more tools than I see at our entire local flea market. What a great haul and I really like the 660 screwdriver. Have been looking for one but the bids are through the roof.
When I got home I saw what they are going for on ebay. I was gonna make a project out of it, but now I'm thinking of flipping it and paying for everything else I got that day!
Nice haul I like the stuff you collect. I really like those Red Devil utility knives I have two I got one mine for twenty-five cents with three new blades in the handle. You can drill a 1/8 hole using a masonry bit in a utility blade and they will work. It would be nice to see some of those screwdrivers fixed up. 👍
Thanks for watching Michael! A video on the Stanley No. 25 is coming soon!
Nice. About the only old tools I can find near me worth saving are the wood planes. I now have saved several from being scrapped. Rex Krueger has good videos about fixing those. He is a great information provider.
I agree!
I don't use wood planes much, but I enjoy finding them at yard sales and cleaning them up just enough to sell on ebay. I haven't watched much of Rex Krueger, but Paul Sellers has some really good videos on cleaning up and using planes and sharpening handsaws.
Needle nose are in amazing condition, I'll go with the Trimo for my favorite.......Saw at the end was really cool !!
I think the logs were being sawed to length for the shingle cutting machine I've seen them run.
You and S.C. always make me drool when u come home from the tool shows... Nice haul M.D...
Thanks Gary! It's fun hunting for treasures at the engine shows!
@@357magdad Yeah I'd love to go one day.. I don't know if we have anything like that in our part of the country or not.. They probably do, but I don't know where.. Have a good one M.D.
The sewing tool is a Speedy Stitcher. You are correct that it is most often used for leather and canvas.
Thanks for the info Jack!
I hate that feeling ya Know ..."When your getting low on Auto Wrenches" :] I liked the Pruning shears ..to bad they were broken. Lots of Cool stuff! Thumbs up!
Thanks D&R! I'll have too many when that drawer is full to the top! LOL
I've got the same barnes wrench from my great great grandfather! Nice picking
I love the design of that little wrench!
Hey Magdad, I loved every minute of this video. It was nice to see the show and to get a detailed look at what you bought. We must have similar taste as at 3:08 I spotted the screwdriver with the “S” pressed into a flat in the shaft and thought how nice it was but you didn’t mention it but it was in your group of favourites at the end. Those long nose Krauter pliers are the ideal piece for restoration as they don’t look to be very good but under the crud they’re in perfect condition. They should come up like new. The hillbillies were playing well today😂😂😂. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺
Thanks Stuart! Those needle nose are almost NOS! I think the "hillbilly" music goes well with the Jacktown show!
@@357magdad The hillbilly sure does.😂😂😂
Hands down my favourite item was the trimo monkey wrench. Been wanting one since I saw them on tool addicts channel! Great haul!
Thanks Ian! I've been working on the Trimo. It is an interesting wrench!
Great haul I love that last screwdriver 👍 😊
Thanks Sparky!
Great tools. I like the monkey wrench that the upper jaws adjust.
I got it apart today -that Trimo wrench is an interesting design!
Nice haul. I like the needle nose pliers. and how about that saw right at the end, I could watch that for hours.
Thanks Steve! Those needle nose pliers are almost NOS!
Great Haul! AND thanks for the way you helped Ben out!! It's a good world after all!! 👍👍👍
Thanks Bill! Ben helped me design my 357 logo, so I owed him one!
Sewing awl and the red block plane look like interesting restorations. Looks like at least on missing needle for the sewing awl will you make replacements in your shop?
The stitcher is probably headed straight for ebay. I would like to do a video on the little block plane though.
Nice haul, liked the wrenches.
Thanks Larry!
I Like the odd Trimo wrench I spent all day working on a bent rusty old perfect handle screw driver
I got that Trimo soaking in some Evapo-Rust right now! I'm looking forward to seeing how your perfect handle screwdriver turns out!
I've got that tiny honey dipper handle screwdriver. It's very neat I think I picked it up for 25 cents. Very awesome tool haul!! Looking forward to restorations.
Edit: I love that banner style wrap around stamp I've never seen that.
The honey dipper style handle is one of my favorites! That Perfect Handle wrap around marking always gets worn away!
@@357magdad that's so cool. Must have been sorta NOS or just not abused lol
Got there first thing Saturday morning… scored mostly Snap-On and a few Williams items, didn’t bring home one “rusty” tool this trip
Basically just wiped the dirt and grease off everything with some WD-40 and I was done, I still have a massive pile of rusty stuff to get to so I went for the chrome this time
Digging that large auto wrench that you showed… I have a Diamond about that size waiting for it’s clean up
I'm glad you found some good items on Saturday!
Nice gems! My favorite is the Trimo wrench!
The Trimo is the item I picked to work on first!
@@357magdad Cool! Finding real gems "in the wild" is way more fun, exciting, and rewarding in this hobby. I like to use Ebay as a resource to look at other examples of things, but never to just buy stuff. If I did that, I would spend too much money! 😁
@@timeflysintheshop I like to use ebay to make some of my money back!
What a fantastic haul. I really like the xacto razor blade plane.
Thanks Tony! I don't think it will take much to get that x-acto plane back into service!
Just seen Ben Mall's video on the knife handle. Your a good guy for helping him out.🙌
@@uktony1525 Ben helped me with my 357 logo, so I'm just returning the favor!
My favorite was the Kraeuter needle nose pliers. Hard decision over perfect handle screwdrivers even when they are imperfect, still like them.
Thanks Larry! Those needle nose are almost NOS!
My favourite was the Trimo, got introduced to you by the great Scoutcrafter 👍
Thanks for watching Phil! I picked the Trimo to work on first! It is a very interesting design!
I always like the perfect handle style screwdrivers but this time its the Trimo. Never seen one like that. Thanks
Thanks Glen! That Trimo sure is an interesting design!
Some great stuff and it looks a great day out And I like the red devil ?UK thanks for sharing your time 🍺🍺👍👍🇬🇧
Thanks Brian! Jacktown is always a blast!
Nice haul. I think the bigger awl is my favourite.
Thanks! I'm looking forward to working on it!
Loved the Trimo "narrow" monkey wrench! I would love to see someone do a resto-mod on a perfect handle using either color epoxy stabilized wood or straight colored epoxy for the scales.
I did a perfect handle restomod you might like:
ruclips.net/video/ofN_PrjQBYw/видео.html
Hand tool rescue restored one of those robot saws like you had at the end
There are a few pieces of lumber mill equipment at Jacktown. I'll try to take more footage in the Fall.
Very nice haul Bud,i have Red Devil paint scraper and it's beautyfull, well done .
That Red Devil utility knife is cool!
Was that exacto plane made out of bakelite? Very interesting super square design. It looks like it would dig in on the corners, but at least it's a unique shape, never seen one quite like that
The x-acto plane body is some kind of plastic.
Dude! You're gonna be busy for months!! Used to have one of those old Craftsmans with the screw holder!! 👍👍👀
More like years! I've got a bunch of those screw holding screwdrivers of various designs.
That last screwdriver with the S is pretty cool.
Thanks for watching! That screwdriver could be 120 years old!
The big flat disk on the back of the two cylinder engine was probably part of the transmission. I saw something like that on an old mine cart.
It is the friction disc for a variable drive similar to snow blowers. RoadKing goes over it in more detail in his video.
@@357magdad Yes. I could not think of what to call it, but it is an amazingly simple way to have a variable gear ratio including reverse without gears, or any fluids. The minecart used a part with wood blocks to interact with the friction disk, so it would be easy to repair or replace the blocks when they wore out.
Love them Auto Wrenches, I have quite a few myself.
A fella can't have too many auto wrenches!
Perfect handles always a favorite.
I agree! Especially that 660!
That narrow mechanics monkey wrench is super cool
I was working on it today - very interesting design!
My favourite is the perfect handle and the improved Real shame about the chip but you'll do a fantastic job ion it 👍
Thanks for watching Gordon! I think that 660 is gonna end up paying for the rest of my haul, even with the chip!
Wow, how do you find the "good stuff" in all that merchandise?!
The amount of tools for sale is overwhelming! I try to dig through every bin and lift out every toolbox tray.
You're right..... I should've popped over on a plane 😀👍🏼🛠️
You would've had a blast! The show was really good - except for the heat.
That one you think is a sewing kit is a quick stitch needle kit. It makes a locking stitch.
Looks like a popular brand name is Speedy Stitcher. It has the spool of thread in the handle.
What designates the adjustable wrenches either auto or bicycle?
I would say size.
like the sks oil can next to the boxer engine
My buddy got a double oiler like that with his surplus Mosin Nagant.
Nice haul...
Thanks!
Chuck really needs his own plane.
Pretty soon Chuck's gonna need a second tool box!
@@357magdad lol
I alway like the perfect handle screw drivers. I have a thing for monkey wrenches as well, especially if they say Coes Worcester.
I have a drawer (almost) full of old monkey wrenches!
Art out of artillery shells, if old, is part of a category called 'TrenchArt'.. It became more popular during WWI.
I made sure I showed those to Mrs Magdad this fall. She thought they were cool!
We had a couple of Roper plants, and during WWII the West plant that made kitchen ranges(stoves) converted to making 3" and 50 cal. casings...just the brass bases. My Great Aunt's Uncle worked themachine shop/tool & die/pattern room and used regects to make lamps or picture frame embellishment with polished aluminum and shells.
But u didn't get any files lol I love old files like u like old screw drivers nice haul.
I saw a lot of files at the show! You woulda been in heaven!
Haha, that was a narrow wrench?
Woo! That was a very interesting retention mechanism on the trimo wrench. Looked like a wedge was pinned into the end of the threaded portion of the moving jaw? That's a clever fix
The design is very similar to the old British Lucas Girder bicycle spanners.
Nice finds! I love a good perfect handle screwdriver. They’re just so sexy!
I always bring home a couple perfect handle screwdrivers from Jacktown!
the odd monkey wrench
I was working on that wrench tonight - very interesting design!
