I have problem with 7artisans 50mm. I used it on a6000 and it works just fine. But when i mounted it in a6400 and a7r its aperture control doesnt workk with the camera, but the focus is. You can only change aperture by turning the aperture ring manually.
Planning on getting this by the end of the year after selling my viltrox 85mm. I loved the viltrox but holy shit that thing is heavy and unreasonably large for 1.8.
I haven’t used Viltrox yet but from what I see it’s more expensive offering pretty much the same thing. I watched a random POV with Viltrox and the image quality is highly comparable.

Is it the 50/1.8? If yes then are you sure your aperture ring is set to A?
But overall, that's weird.
@@eastbanger yes, it works on a6000 and zve10 when set to A. But in a6400 and a6500 and a7r its not
