It takes two people who are unwilling to quit or fail. You have to be able to laugh and allow each other to grow and make mistakes. There's no" buts" in a healthy relationship. If you watch the interviews, his brothers make fun of him for watching TV with his wife at home in the evenings. You never saw him without Linda from 1970 until this year. He was the perfect family man. He lived very happily and healthily. That's why it's still with us

I read that they met on the TV show Top of the Pops. Jimmy Saville wanted to take her out after the show and she wasn't keen but he was persistent. Barry swooped in and ask her out and they were inseparably after that. They make a beautiful couple and fifty years of marriage is quite an achievement.
His wife is stunning. Her eyes are so pure. He’s lucky and I’m so glad he knows that. Fame can make celebrities cheat, etc but it seems like he knows how lucky he is.
What a great and talented person Barry is. Any huge super star like he is and stays with his wife all these years speaks volumes about him. Most people of his status usually divorced 3-5 times by the time they pass away.
