Another mind-blowingly excellent tutorial. Very many thanks Dylan.
Legit considering taking your class. Great video. I have zero experience with Apple Motion but I feel like you teach it in a way that I could learn a thing or two.
I would love to have you there! Don’t forget that coupon code for 20% off if you decide to join!
Code MotionTime20
Very cool. Like the scrub thing as I didn't like the background to move in.
And as I have learned from you: I added a "build in optional" to turn the animation off if I want to.
You can also publish the sequence text checkbox from Motion, so that animation is toggleable!
@@TheFinalCutBro Makes sense, thanks.
love your work - whats a good Mac RUclips video downloader?
If you are familiar with the terminal then yt-dlp is great. They also have GUI apps for it.
hey, Dylan! that's an awesome tutorial! thank you so much.. quick question: when I add it to final cut for some reason it changed the distance between lines when I'm playing it. do you know what can be a problem?
What are the consequences of using a different frame rate in apple motion than in what you'd use in FCPX? I hear that line a lot but don't understand why it mattes.
Most of the time, there are none. Motion is great at interpolating animations to different frame rates. That said, it’s best practice to use the same frame rate when possible, as occasionally, you will have a project here and there that will break with a different frame rate. In this video, using the “scrub” filter can occasionally not work properly on a different frame rate timeline.
Not to mention, you’ll get the most accurate representation of how it will look in the final product. As a 24p timeline makes animations look drastically different from a 60p timeline.
@@TheFinalCutBro thanks buddy👍
Everything is going great following this tutorial in Motion but when I try to add the Drop Shadow to Text group the background text changes color. grrrr.
