Damn Lee, you might as well record a solo album with the Pod! Every bit of this sounded great and non - repetitive. I like how they have it mountable to a rack, opposed to how previous models were set up. It does sound digital in some spots, but it fits alot of those tones well! Great man!

Great Video The Captain ! I own the POD HD PRO X and I love it because it is a huge preamp rack simulation amps with lots of settings. And it is a very low price to get it. At last but not least : it is the easiest to use.
Nice demo. I could easily see those older units benefiting from some of the nice IR plugins from ownhammer, TwoNotes ETC... wow, I really dig those mild bluesy sounds you were getting, I might be looking into one of those units.

People don't realize how much longer it takes for GREAT digital audio technology to become even inferior compared to whatever the newest and shiniest release is on the shelf this year. I know people who still record and tour with Line 6 Vetta HD's with very modern tones. They just might now upgrade to the POD HD's lmao

Line 6 POD HD Pro X + Flamma FS07 CAB IR pedal... bypass the power amp section in the Line 6... definitely holds its own, compared to the newer AXE FX's, Kempers, other expensive modelers..
To be honest, in 2020 this is a completely unreasonable offer. The Hardware/Software basics are 7 years old, it does not come with a footswitch and does not directly support IRs. For the *same* money I can get a POD Go, which has 5 year old Software, which *still* gets updated, has an included footswitch and pedal. As well as IR - Support. The Helix Modeling is better then the old POD modeling by far. If I want to controll this POD HD X via an FPV3, it is ANOTHER 180 Pounds. And then it is basically just a POD go, with dual amp modeling that sounds not as good as the single amp modelling of the HX software. So... As long as one does not absolutely need a very specific thing out of the POD HD, there is no good reason to buy one of these for 399, when you can get HX modelling for the exact same money, but with a foot controller.

Captain Lee I have a request. On your website can we please have an option to select items that are currently in stock. I've been searching for days and most of the guitars are out of stock which cant be true. Is this 'out of stock' thing because of the lockdown? Now I know the shop is closed but surely your warehouse has stock.
Hypothetical cheap stereo guitar rig of WIN? Say you have this HD Pro X, two BOSS Katana 50 MkIIs, and a MelloAudio MidiCommander foot controller laying around? I mean, sure there are far more advanced units and options to be had, but not with two class A/B powered cabs, or this amount of acceptable sonic potential for well under a 2k investment of coin. Personally? I know a very successful commercial L.A. jingle writer who still uses a P.O.D. XT pro to this day! Ha! Hats off to the Captain for doing such a well done solo demo of this old, but still very awesome piece of kit! Which does pair well with lower baritone tunings quite well I might add! Cheers and Ahoy there Captain! Good show and well done indeed.
I was drooling over these on the Andertons website and the built in mic interface with all the effects options sounded like an absolutely fantastic idea, but unfortunately every review I looked up said there were limitations in some of the sims and it's hard to get certain sounds. That said, for the price, this is still very tempting; if you want an all in one unit and don't mind it sounding slightly synth'y (in a full mix still sounds stunning) then this could be your thing
It is not a all in one unit by any modern means. It does not support IR's and it does not come with a footswitch either. So you'd have to invest in those things as well, if you want to use this unit live with comparable good sound and the same ease of use. For the Money, you could by a Helix Stomp, or, even cheaper, wait for the POD Go.
I have one, I don't know how it compares to other modelers but compared with a tube amp it's really fantastic for a few situations: live if you prefer your effects to be pre-set backstage vs having a big pedalboard, it's great + through a PA or real cab no one can tell you're running a digital rig. For recording, you can load your own IRs with a cheap IR pedal and even run dual amps if you're recording distorted bass for ex. At $300-400 now I still consider it a steal because you get yesterday's pro unit for the price of today's "budget" unit.
