So modest Taku. I think the salad looked amazing. Fish skin croutons and ikura made it 👌. I loved seeing you hop around different rivers and do some fly fishing. Alaska is just gorgeous. The vibe of this video is definitely a nice change. Super relaxing. Every video is really just amazing in its own way.
The drone shots with the pair of eagles along with the Piano music was breathtaking thanks for sharing Taku!
Relaxing Views !!! 🎹🏕🌤
everyday when im stressed i watch one of these videos. thank you
I love how you take a sip of beer. "First, a sip of (whatever)." Proceeds to gulp half the can on the first sip! Life is good.😁
Then says “That’s good!”
Agree! Every “sip” is a major chug-a-lug!!
As a biology major ,i love your videos!! Encourage me a lot ,and learning a lot..
Thank you.
Same here! Good luck with your studies
@@brandon8980 thank you so much., u2
from one bio major to another, taku is it
Biology FTW !!! 👩🔬
mad respect for the consistency, but not just that. The QUALITY of your videos. mucho amor
Best show on you tube. Nothing but quality content. Taku is a true talent.....
Taku is such a solid and cool dude. Talented af. Always look forward to taku tuesdays!!🤙🤙
Who among your fans hasn't dropped a fish onto the coals. It happens, and it just adds to the flavor. 😂😂💪💪
Another great vid! When nymphing, set the hook downstream to get better hook sets in the corner of the mouth. Cheers!
I like the bald Eagle in the drone shot! That was lucky
Good job Taku! I love it when your trying things outside the box.
For the future, after you fillet the fish or butterfly in this case and you want to keep the skin on. The pin bones can be removed fairly easily by cutting down next to them without cutting through skin. Then run the top of your thumb nail between the cut pin bones and the skin from the back to the front of the fillet. They will come of the skin fairly easily. This is how I get boneless fillets of trout with the skin on for the smoker.
thank you for sharing!
Alaska is such a beautiful place. I'm glad you're getting to explore it. I'd deff recomend driving down the 101 on your way back
Love the videos but if I could make a recommendation I’d recommend getting a net with rubber netting your flies won’t get stuck nearly as easy and just Incase you catch a fish you don’t wanna keep the rubber net also doesn’t wipe off nearly as much slime off the fish like the fabric nets do . Thanks so much for sharing all your adventures!
Another fire video Taku! Alaska is amazing. Wish you could be back in the Bay Area for Fisherman's Life meet up. I just wanted to say hello in person to my favorite content artist.
Fantastic vid, I love how you try new things and we get to see the mistakes too (hello fish head into the fire, that gave me a huge belly laugh). Keep up the good work. P.s. I’m with Jocelyn when it comes to a good book. 😂
Thanks for sharing the drone shots and that Beautiful Aerial view that looked like a Bob Ross painting, those eagles were incredible. Looking forward to more of your adventures. Safe and Happy travels 💕🚐🎣🌟👍
Itching for more Alaskan catch and cook, a little research and development for the boys and girls back home.! Great work Taku!
Great video and thank you for taking us along on your adventure through Alaska.Take care and stay safe.
Beautiful drone pics. Thank you for all your hard work. Really look forward to seeing your videos
been missing my home lately, always love the alaska videos... just a next time if you get a grayling, scale it and fry it up coated in cornmeal, thats the way we do it in the yukon!
Wow! It looks so beautiful and peaceful! Awesome drone shots!!
Alaska is just the most beautiful state!! I LOVE the views, just so serene and peaceful!
Awesome catch and cook Taku ✊🏼🧐. Hey a lil salad now and again is a good thing Brotha!! Loving the Alaska series, cheers y’all 🍻👊🏼😎🤙🏼
Great video yet again! That research and development joke had me dying 😂. But seriously loved the video and the dish as always, Taku!
I'm glad to see you pick up fly fishing.
You’re the best. Love every episode.
"get somthin' on the fly" love it. I gotta check my geography I don't know how you cross canada to get back to alaska. been a while. glad you check the local fishing rules they vary a lot. barbless, no keep, numbers, everything. bring back some sea otters to eat these urchins and breed, we need them back. benkyo nihongo shimas, but only on the hirigana, haven't gotten up to katakana yet, benkyo. and it's been like 20 yearsish but you've inspired me to check back into it. I think I have commitment issues I speak a little spanish, a little german, and a little french, a little italian, a little hungarian, but not fluent in anything. It's just hard to figure out what to study and commit to. Your production value is great, I don't know how you and joc do it, but it's high quality. Dang your knife skills are encrible' (that is the french talking) thanks for that. I never toss salad I leave the toppings on top and leave the different dressings on the table so everyone can get the right proportions and choose their own. You don't have that problem since you know your partner and you're alone together. when you gonna stop buying cameras and drones and get a ring? delete that if you want to.
Heyyyy fly fishing is so much fun man! Hope you continue to do so in your future videos!
It is so fun watching your videos you are so cool it makes me want to get outdoors more
Fun video man - love the genuine love for local nature and a beer to end the akatsuki! Wanted to let you know there is a collapsible salad spinner that we use as a spinner, strainer and soaker. Green in color!
Haines is gorgeous, it was one of the first long road trips we took as a family, definitely a beautiful town.
couldn't wait for tomorrow, had to rewatch and thought of something when you flipped the board. how about some fish/crab print camping tablecloths?!? Also I keep wanting the see the back of the crab on the back of the shirts. Have fun up there for me!
Yes the Eagle pair was certainly majestic! Nice fish salad gotta try the crunchy fish skin croutons!!
You’re my inspiration!! Keep it up brother!
Love seeing you use a fly rod taku! Have a peek at the rocks in the shallow slack water of the river next time you fish, you’ll quickly find exactly what you should be imitating! There will be aquatic insects on the a lot of the rocks depending on the time of day, it’s always the first thing I do when I get to the river and I find it very successful! Amazing video brother keep up the amazing videos and delicious food 😍🙌
Beautiful footage of the area! Hi to you and Jocelyn. Food looks delicious! 💖🌹🐟
That was awesome that you got to go to the Yukon Territory, in Canada, on your way to the other part of Alaska. I've never heard of that type of fish before, but it looks great with the way you grilled it, and also put it in a salad. It's also a bonus to get crispy fish skin. Cheers, Taku and Jocelyn! #TakuTuesday ✌️🇨🇦🇺🇸🎣
Great catch and cook that salad looked really good!!!
That grilled fish looked so good, Taku. Enjoy!
Enjoyed the video! Ty for sharing..
This was such a beautiful drone video!
I'm hoping to head to Alaska next summer sometime. I will have to hit you up on the best places to go. Luv your videos no matter where you are
my favorite thing is watching you take a sip of well earned beer after working hard all day on fishing and cooking.
love the local beer tastings you do in every video!
THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SHOW. PLEASE KEEP UP ALL YOUR SHOWS WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. I WISH I COULD BE THERE. I AM WITH YOU AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS. THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING.
Awesome video. A quick tip or how i strip line at least is i dont pull from above my main hand. I use my finger as another guide if you will. That way you wont have to grip it again and if you do feel something just tighten your grip and set the hook. Tight lines!!
Cant believe I'm this early in the comments. Your Alaska videos are awesome and inspire me to do better and live life to the fullest. Thank you taku💜💜💪😎
Thank you for teaching me so much
Cheers, another fine video. Thank you
Taku,
You helped the fire to get ahead:)
That looks so good:)
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Love your videos TAKU-san, it’s very ZEN like. Jozu! And thank you for sharing your journey.
Great stuff Taku!
I fallow hand few people on RUclips, but buy far your such an inspiration what life has to offer, I have one of your moms aprons and gifted to a friend.
DAMM MESQUITE!!!
Thank You!!!
I would love to see the two of you take a trip to Japan and film some catch and cooks there! This is probably one of my favorite RUclips channels along with NWFS. You all are such good folk! I’d love to do one of your subscriber trips. How do we find out about those?
And man that is one large can of beer! 😂 Thanks for another great vid and adventure! Safe Journeys!
If you scroll back a few years through his channel you can see a whole Japan series. They went prior to covid. Great videos!
@@austinw.1703 I joined the channel a little over a year ago. I haven’t had a chance to go back and look at them all. I will look those up and check them out. Thanks!
What a beautiful fish! Very inspiring.
What a beautiful dish taku! Cheers bro!
Splash zone! Haha
The food you make I bet is amazing!!!! Plus I like how you have a little micro brew fest, when grilling it is 100% required! I’m in love with your style! It’s what i do, except I’m not as amazing. Thank you for the inspiration!
Subie life!!! Haha have you been here since taku had his?!
Taku; you're not a novice fly fisher. Plus for an SF city fellow you can rough it with a smile in AK camping environs. Unfortunate that you did not get to Fairbanks as graying (12-15 inch) in the late '60's were very readily catchable in the upper Chena River (2nd bridge) on silver Hot Rod spoons. I love that crispy skin too.
I think its great when you open your beer and take your first drink its like you cant put it doun and it looks like you REALLY enjoy that first drink
The eagles flying in the drone shot is cool!😊
I watch his all videos since the pandemic and now I'm 18 and I am proud that I learned a lot of his cooking ,fishing skills.
I can't believe it 😱😳
8:33-8:49 was SICK!!!!! What a great video.
I bet the creamy gochu jang with the salty pop of the ikura and crispy skin was magic
When you said you needed croutons and I was like use the fish skin and BOOM you did it!👌🏻
That salad looked amazing
Dolly varden are the most underrated fish in Alaska! I think they are super fun to fight especially on light tackle and they taste amazing!
Taku, love that T-shirt with the crab!!!!
Can you do more forging mushrooms videos?! 😍
Hey Bro..
get the slack line to yer fly reel as fast as possible every time you hook up with a fish..
The reel has a drag system for a reason, and you will play those fish much better from now on..🙌
Dude, I've been silently, semi silently following your channel for I don't know, two years ? But holy shit if there was ever a spot to smoke a Joint it was at that Bench by the Waterfall :D Dude what the hell I would've never left :D
Love the Content Taku and Joclyn
With a fish named Dolly Varden, it's gotta be tasty! Parton the expression!
lol xD
Love your Alaska adventures... 🥰
Dolly Varden (Bull Trout) can get way bigger than Sockeye. I was waiting for you to hook a monster, LOL! We cant keep them in Oregon. More of a salmon/char than trout, I’ve always wondered where the Bull Trout name came from…. Great video as always!
So cool 😎 watching you fly fishing😁
Jocelyn saw you drop the fish int the fire and thought….”no thanks”……🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hell yeah your having a blast out there! I wanna visit so bad 🐟 🪝
I'm missing the Deliciously Invasive series of videos. Keep up the great work.
That salad looked 💣 !
Taku, as always perfect, love your videos.
Unfortunately bokksu is not available in EU, sad...
Beautiful! Thanks 🙏
Taku, your worst dish looks like most people’s best dishes they’ve ever made! Looks delicious mate!
8:41 I was like that place is Majestic! Kinda place you'd see a bald eagle soaring! And on 8:43 bald eagles soaring!! That's my vision of majestic!!!
Hey man ✌️me and my dad love watching your videos and your cooking. Just wanted to appreciate your hard work in every video. My dad was wondering if you could cook with rock fish, cactus and Mexican red chilly sauce. He thinks that could be a good video idea 🧐.
Taku just offended all of the fly fisherman when he called it a bobber instead of a "strike indicator" 🙄 lol great video as always brother keep it up!
Dang, i wanna check out all the places youve been to and filmed at
Watching thr drone shot and music almost made forget i was watching a outdoor chef video… neautiful
Amazing Alaskan series!
I got my slippers on... - I nearly slipped... working. 😄👍🍻
Thank you for your videos.
I like how you switched to Plan B on a dime when the cook did not go 100% as planned. Your chef background and number of meals prepared in the outdoors likely taught you this lesson! ;-) Thanks for sharing.
I'm so hungry now lol, Jocelyn looks like Coraline in that yellow jacket 🤣🤣🥰
Loving your videos. Do you have a cast net recommendation for Oregon herring? Also I have been freeze drying porcini, I can send you some
I live on top of Alaska. When we fish for greys we use spinners 0 1’s and 2’s the black fury silver spinners works best
Take the ferry to Juneau! You guys won’t regret it. Incredibly long side track hahaha
Beautiful! What makes the water so green?
First! And always great content Taku!
drone shot with the bald eagle mmmmm chef's kiss
when I was up there in 94 I got a sweet patch for my backpack that says "alaska state bird" with a picture of a mosquito. look for one.
Beautiful Video Taku.....I give you a 7 on the Taku Beer Chug Meter
Love you content. Big fan from Denmark
