I personally think that “Glassesless Togami” is simply a placeholder image for sprites and other assets-not very exiting but it would explain why it’s in the files,you never see it,and why it’s in all the games.
I think the Togami with no glasses was that in the anime Aoi slaps Togamis glasses off so maybe that was why it's here

I do wish they would have used the option to choose who lives or dies in one of the games. Of course, this would have caused canonicity issues but that could be solved by perhaps an anime or a true ending that can be unlocked. There would be a lot of depth to it and seemingly meaningless choices could accumulate to the next trial. Where you decide to go may be the difference between life and death for a character. If someone’s best friend dies or gets executed it would change their attitude and you can help them cope. Maybe you could even kill someone and get away as the blackened and be the only one to come out alive. I understand why they scrapped it as their audience wouldn’t be as big as Danganrompa is today but I think they took out some really good concepts and allows a lots of replay ability and story routes.
If they made Distrust back then, then, yeah, it wouldn't be as big of a fanbase (although I'd probably play it).
However, if they made Distrust now, I think many fans would appreciate what Danganronpa could have been.
Maybe it would be like to separate modes. Like "custom mode" where you pick who dies and who doesn't, and "story mode" being the cannon storyline and ending.

Ad Hoc is just the multiplayer mode names for psp games. You'd connect with ad hoc. It was an unused multiplayer mode.

I’ll admit it, Ishimaru’s unused death would have been a better send-off for him. He got killed the moment he was happy again, which felt too harsh for me, even if it’s normal for DR. Also, I would’ve loved to see Leon and Sayaka hang out, they’d make a cool friend group.

The shattered glass reminds me a lot of Hagakure's crystal ball so Leon would be a suspect, or Hagakure idk. Also I don't think Chihiro could do that, they're too innocent. Honestly having Distrust as the final game would have been really fun to play, but it would have made me so anxious considering the players relationships with others has to do with who lives and dies

5:33 I think this was gonna he used to like, show Leon walking to his execution. Because one I think the execution was just the culprits being killed by a guillotine. Second when you are sent to execution you don’t get dragged by a chain, you just walk to your execution, so I think this animation thing was gonna be used to show Leon walking to the quillotine and then him being killed. Or it’s just a waking animation or him during free time events, because some npcs walk around until you talk to them like in animal crossing. Or it can just be him leaving the conversation when you talk to him
Well thats lame... I'm happy they scratched tgat and gave us very painful executions instead- (cuz with a guillotine it's over very quickly, with fire or baseballs it'd take a while)
The only thing that got me interested in the Distrust beta is how the story changes based on your relationship with everyone

I like to interpret the Leon and Sayaka CG is them both in an execution and they have to fight for their lives. And then when they think its over, Sayaka uppercut Leon with a knife which would lead to the other Leon and Sayaka CG.
Seeing Sayaka and Leon alive bring me an indescribable joy.

Ad hoc is the name the vita used to describe local multiplayer / vita exclusive bluetooth. so yeah, maybe there were plans for multiplayer matches between a friend next to you, but i can't imagine how that would work.

Byakuya originally did not have glasses. They added them near the end of development, I believe.
I think "short story" is what became IF. I wish they made something with "Distrust" like an AU of the characters if they were instead in the original idea or just it with new characters entirely and this all done with the official style just maybe a bit more brutal (eg. the student council killing game)

AD HOC mode is a feature that was exclusive on PSP systems in which you could play with other players. In this case, the beta files show that the first Danganronpa game (Trigger Happy Havoc) was originally gonna have a multiplayer mode where you could play the game with other local PSP systems at the time, but was later scrapped in the final version of the game due to it now being single player only.

I think the reason why there are unused byakuya sprites without his classes in every game is because he’s technically in every game. The game developers must’ve copied his sprite file and put it in the other games, forgetting to take out the ones without glasses.
On 8:30 I heard that those sprites are used in the end of each episode of the anime to show who’s left

Ad hoc mode could reference the term “ad hoc ergo propter hoc”, more commonly known as “post hoc ergo propter hoc” or “post hoc”. For those that don’t know “post hoc” is a logical fallacy that states that since event B followed event A, event B must have been caused by event A."
An example being “I talked to my friend about a blizzard that happened a few years ago, then a few hours later a blizzard actually happened. Therefore, whenever I talk about blizzards, they actually happen!” (Lol sounds like something Hiro would say)
Given the nature of danganronpa/distrust it’s easy to see why a game mode titled as such would have appeared in the game, as for what it’d be used for, I have no idea :D

Yashuhiro was originally supposed to be killed and hifumi had his own execution and it’s in the manga aswell!
