Beautiful!! I stumbled across this looking for information on adult adoption as I am adopting my 19 year old stepdaughter. I divorced her mom last December due to lots of mental health issues; too much to talk about. Anyway, she kicked my daughter out at age 18 and pretty much has nothing to do with her. Her bio dad also lives nearby and he only contacts her once or twice a year. I can't have biological kids but I'll always be there for her. Aaron, you and your sister are blessed beyond measure to have Bill in your lives!!! Mirabella, keep your onion cutting ninjas to yourself!
Hi Aaron. My name is Luca and I live in Italy. I lost my father 25 years ago, when I was 14. Unfortunately he was a mean father, he drank and he never showed us any emotions. Now that I am 40 I miss 'a' dad so much. You made me a gift today. I shared your emotions, even if we don t know each other. I am so glad that persons like you exist in this world. I would like to know your family better somehow, even if an ocean separates us... Thank you, very much. A big hug from Italy
What beautiful children. It means so much more coming from adult children! What an honor for your Dad, and for your Mom. God bless this amazing family!!
Onion ninjas attacking as he is just reading pages, you can feel his emotion thru every page. I'm surprised his son or daughter didn't start crying before he got to the last page. I wish I had that opportunity before my Dad passed, the one thing is true, you will never know when the last time is, always end every disagreement, every end of a phone call, before leaving for work and when you come home say three simple words either I love you or I appreciate you. My Dad was my best friend, but military life and motherhood had my time consumed I never found the time to ask him those special words "will you adopt me?" Ten years now and I still cry like a baby when I see such kindness done for a parent whose been there even when they didn't have to be.
I'm not crying. I'm not crying. I'm totally crying.
Me neither. Stupid onion cutting ninjas
Whenever I'm feeling cynical or depressed, I watch adoption videos. That and pregnancy ones. The emotional release is fantastic.

A beautiful tribute ❤️ what a wonderful way to ask your dad to make it official .
It takes more than blood to make a family. You all are very fortunate. I know, because it happened to me too.
