I need to stop watching these videos when I have no money because every time I find books that sound interesting that I have no easy way of getting hold of yet... I have played myself
After living in England for over 4 years (I’m Brazilian), I came to the conclusion that British people are more likely to love Alice, because it has a lot of British peculiarities in it that I didn’t catch before living in the UK. I still don’t really like it, but now I appreciate more why some people are crazy about it. 🤷♀️
I love the concept of wonderland - reality is such a fragile thing and when twisted can become quite peculiar. But, Alice represents bringing our concept of reality and innocence into this world that feels forced to just make the reader better flow through this world. But that’s just my opinion on it.
You: The adult version of Harry Potter could be Me: Please don't say The Magicians, Please don't say The Magicians, Please don't... You: The name of the wind Me: *heart eyes* *sighs in relief* *well done* Great video, enjoyed all the recommendations, will definitely add some to my list!
I just finished “Foundryside” for the second time to get ready for the sequel, and I think that anyone who has read “Six of Crows” and wants to try adult should give it a shot! Not sure about the other way around though...
I'm not a person who comments on videos but i wanted to say G, i really really like your hair like this! My hair is very similar to yours, i spent years straightening them everyday. Since couple of years i embraced my natural hair the way it is. And your natural hair gets better when you stop styling them all the time. Now i'm so proud of my natural hair how bouncy and nice it is :) I still style my hair every now and then but in special occasions. Keep it up and you'll start loving it! also less time spent on styling, which is a relief :D
So much yes to Sleeping Giants and Illuminae! I also think that if you're a fan of Brigid Kemmerer's writing in A Curse So Dark and Lonely and are in the mood for a contemporary, you might enjoy Letters to the Lost + More Than We Can Tell by her.
Your hair is beaut! Also your clothes are always so fun, you should do som OOTD sections in your vlogs. Fun video G! Now I have even more to add to my book depository basket 🤔
I cannot for the life of me put my finger on it but this video has such a relaxing and entrancing effect on me! I like these types of videos by other booktubers but if they are too long I might lose interest in them but this one.........I don't know if it's the gold-amber aesthetic of it, or your playful appearance or your voice but I think it's safe to say I was completely captivated.
You look so good! I’m proud of you for trying your natural hair even though I know it’s not your favorite haha. It looks amazing. Plus I just like your outfit.
Love your hair! I still need to read so many of these books, especially Illuminae, Sleeping Giants, and Invictus! We Are Legion (We Are Bob) is incredible, and the Bobiverse series is my all-time favorite scifi series! The audiobook narrator, Ray Porter, is wonderful and sounds a lot like Tom Hanks. Lol. I really think these books would make a great scifi TV series!
Oh man, the Tales of Verania audiobook series (The Lightning-Struck Heart) is AMAZING! So hilarious, I love all the characters, and it's gay AF. Lol. I recommend the whole series, which gets much darker with each book and the villain introduced in book 2 is fantastic!
@@yvonnelarsen4865 technically you can, just keep in mind that some people find the beginning of six of crows confusing, have they not read the Grisha trilogy first. Six of crows doesn't explain the magic or the history of the world at the beginning, the book just throws you in. If you're someone that reads a lot of epic fantasy you Probably won't have much of a problem, though. A lot of people don't enjoy the Grisha trilogy (i think it's fine), so I would recommend reading the first book, Shadow And Bone, and if you don't like it, move to Six of Crows. That way you get an introduction to the magic. But yes, technically you can.
@@thefinalreader2392 thank you so much. I'm currently reading the darkest minds series and I was thinking that I could read six of crows next, but maybe it would be best if I start with shadow and bone first
If you like the concept of the starless sea with the book in a book you should try The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. I‘m currently reading it and I really like the writing style.
I'm really curious to know how you feel about the hunger games, divergent and narnia? 😊 This will be my first time doing the owls, and I'm really exited! I normally rarely read, but I do love to. Finally going to finish the art of hearing heartbeats!
you said you thought ADSOM and RIse of Kyoshi was a stretch but i actually guessed that one before hand (altho i wasn't sure if you would say kyoshi or the avatar comics) so.. i don't think it is as much of a stretch hahah. also i love this hair style for you! it suits you so well :D
I picked up Deacender on your recommendation and I loved it! I also will be picking up some of these when my library reopens! :D such a great video! Hope you, Logan and the kitties are keeping safe xxx
How had I never heard of The Rise of Kyoshi?? Adding that to my TBR right now! So excited for the OWL's, this will be my first time participating! I'm frantically trying to finish the three books I have on the go right now before the start of April lmfao
So glad I got my sleeping giants/waking gods/only human books on the pretty glittery face covers before they brought out the new covers that I’ve seen recently 🌟
I definitely will give a shot to the Name of the wind and The final empire! I love H.P. and also Six of crows (I also liked The crooked kingdom more). So thank you for these tips!
I love readalikes, I plan a few blog posts with that theme! With Illuminae and The Themis Files it's more of a similar experience I think rather than story like you said, particularly if you go for the audiobooks.
The second you pulled up radio silence I immediately thought about Eliza and her monsters. I love both of them and I recommend them to people at the library all the time
LOL if I am not mistaken Zeus is a Bengalian right? My brother in law is also the human servant of a cat like that. So the same^^ hey human! Gimme attention! No, not on the lap! 😂😂 Omg, when u said "gay Wizard apprentice" I was sure you'd bring in Carry On! 😂😂😂 can't thank you enough! I might have found a book to feed the addiction until the next Simon Snow book ^____^ (and OMG!!!! I only now noticed! A book for Ancient Runes for me!!! Holy Moly you made my day!!!!😂❤) And THANK YOU for saying Kings of the Wyld is basically a DnD campaign. There is chance you ended my hubbys reading slump! Thank you ❤ - Since you liked Radiosilence i'd like to recommend "You ask for perfect". Thank you for the video! 😉😊👏
Ok, you have just messed with my bank account, my future TBR and just maybe with my O.W.L.s TBR!! hahahahaha (and don't feel sorry because you have just enriched my reading world"). Thanks!!

Omg Kyoshi! Ok if you say it’s anything is somewhat reminiscent of avatar than I need to read a darker shade of magic immediately. Haha it’s the reverse but that still works right?
You look so cute in this video. ^^ With a few of your choices I wholeheartedly agree but with a few I wholeheartedly disagree xD It's so weird how different tastes can be. For example I absolutely loved "The Savage Song" duology but absolutely hated "Renegades". Anyway, great video ❤
Glad you mentioned the Red Sister/Nevernight comparison! I've been debating which one to read first. Also, where did you get your glasses? I'm obsessed!
I loved a curse so dark and lonely but after skimming acotr at the bookstore quickly realized it wasn't for me. enjoyed your rec's I have never read every heart a doorway but it sounds good!
Can't even buy new books at this moment as all online services have been stopped 😢😢. Btw you are looking really cute today 😇.Hope you're staying healthy.
I have several takeaways I wish to share: 1) You somehow remind me of a studio Ghibli character or one of those IG artists who paint everyday life scenes. Not sure how to explain it, hope you get what I mean. Either way, it is a compliment! 2) All the book recommendations are awesome. I love your book choices! 3) I noticed your shop has three products which are all sold out. Are you planning on updating it with new stuff?

the library is a good option if you don't have money for books
TypeTheWriter oh me too😂 I have a whole list!!
You can download them at Z-library, if you don't mind reading them in the pdf type of way
You can get used books on amazon in great condition for very low prices like as low as $5
You can try thriftbooks they are used but in really great condition and cheap as well!
You had me at "I don't like Alice I'm Wonderland." It is hard for me to find someone that doesn't love Alice. Thumbs up for that alone.
Gosh sameeee!!!!
I also do not like Alice in wonderland...

girl, you always looked absolutely amazing with curls but i loved that you're owning them in the last two videos, they are so great
I seriously love your curly hair 🌺 & the pigtails mixed with the curls, really sooths your face so beautifully 🌺😊
